Expensive and not effective
My host last minute didn’t stick to our initial date because of whatever reasons essentially rendering me homeless and having to book an expensive airbnb even after I had to pay the ridiculous once off payment of almost €500. This was the nail in the coffin for me and truly solidified the fact that Ireland is not realistic to live in. Housing is a mess and these platforms aren’t reliable either and just want your money

We’re very sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with the last-minute change to your booking and the inconvenience this caused, especially given how disruptive it was for your plans.
While such requests from hosts are rare, when they do occur, we always try to support guests as best as we can by helping to find alternative accommodation where possible. In this particular case, the booking was made very close to the check-in date (for the following day), and we were only contacted after the issue had already arisen, which unfortunately limited our ability to step in and arrange a relocation in time.
We always recommend booking in advance where possible, as it gives us the necessary time to provide full support and, if any issues arise, to step in promptly with alternative arrangements.
We’re genuinely sorry again that your experience fell short of expectations and appreciate you sharing your feedback as we continue to improve our services.
