Server ongoing down...Very Rude support
I was 3 years of with Hostforlife server ongoing down, They charge you for every little thing, Support are very very rude I have never seen such a reckless support. They have lock my website for 1 day over the expiry date. They what to pay for 1 year again to download just the files, as I told them I want to move somewhere else, I can not deal with the support staff. I still don't have the site files back, they could zip them and download. I will build a new one luck it was my own not a client. If you go over they will lock you out of the ftp. Stay away from this hostforlife. No warning, when it comes renewal they will charge your credit card and send you a confirmation. I took screenshot of support. This is a true review. I am very upset I gave them money for 3 years they have no respect they did not want to give me 1 hr to download my files. We finished with big dispute. I was using Microsoft sever asp.
Their service crashes frequently
Their service crashes frequently, and they do break their SLA agreement. All my clients are disappointed with their reliability. Apart from that, speed is good, so is the Plesk control panel. Unfortunately, due to the reliability issues we have to move to a different hosting provider.
Online support is hopeless
Online support is hopeless. My account was automatically renewed with no advance invoice, which is something they undertake to provide in their own terms and conditions.
Attempts to contact them go unanswered for days or weeks at a tiem, despite them having promised a 24 hour response time. Attempts to elicit a response have led to threats of being ignored:
"You have some pending formalities with our Account Team and we expect you to behave professionally. If you keep replying the ticket in this manner, our Account Team will keep ignoring your ticket (or they will delay the response)."
After having my account cancelled and only receiving a 50% refund I submitted a subject access request under the Data protection act and this was ignored. I the initiated a small claims action, which again they ignored. I obtained judgement by default, but the still ignore any communication and have not paid the money they now owe me. My next step is to send in the bailiffs to their London office. Just hope that your system is not on one of the servers the bailiffs seize to pay the debts.

I'm business owner and have been with Hostforlife for some time now and anytime I have had a question or support request, they always go extra steps to get things either fixed or point me in the right direction.
I would recommend them to anyone without fail as my experience has been great. The technical support is top notch!
My experience is good with them
Before choosing Hostforlife to host my website, I have seen mixed reviews about their hosting services, but most of them are good. So, I decided to try their services. Their prices are quite competitive and features are also good. This is my 8 months with them and I never face any single downtime. I'm satisfied with this condition.
Solid hosting
I really like their services. The configuration are easy and intuitive. Their control panel is powerful, so anytime you always reach the limit, there will be notification to your email. Everything can be done via their control panel. So, only in urgent situation, I will contact their support team. They have solid support, they always response me within few minutes. What I dislike is only their SSL pricing, it is bit expensive than others. But, they have support free ssl powered by Let's Encrypt. And this SSL has been integrated on their control panel. That's amazing. :)

I accidentally broke up application pool settings on their plesk control panel and that made my site down. I was very panic and then contacted their support team. The response time was excellent and they not only answer the question, but they helped me to repair the plesk. Thank you very much, you save my life!
Good Service
Where to start? Very hard... I just only want to say thank you to them. I have used the hosting and domain for more than 4 years and I'm very satisfied with them. They have integrated system and everything is good.... What else? Just try them and see the result!
Reliable hosting provider!! Hope they can keep growing!
I'm not an expert in technologies so it is quite hard using their system for the first time. We transferred our site in May 2014 to Hostforlife. I like their hosting features and pricing, they almost offer rich features than my previous hosting provider.
Since I'm very beginner in IT, it was very hard to transfer our domain to them, it was very painful, difficult, and long. The problem was that my previous hosting provider didn't release our domain for a month. So, it was really difficult at that time, Hostforlife can only give the direction to us, they can't assist with the transfer because their company policy doesn't permit them to interact with customer domain. But, honestly they were very very helpful, the problem was with my previous provider. In short, domain has been transferred successfully to them.
For control panel, support, and server time, honestly, they are very great, I have no complaint with them. There is one thing that I'm uncomfortable, they have 2 different user logins, one for helpdesk and one to domain management. So, I need to remember this both user login details. I would much prefer to have it all in one sole place.
Final word: I'm happy with them that my site working fine all the time, the downtime very less. Good job!
Not perfect, but better than most
I've been with Hostforlife for almost 3 years. I have .NET site and blog hosted with them. I must admit that they have fabulous server, because my site run faster than my previous hosters. If I read their site, they use Turbo speed server with SSD, maybe that make my site load very fast.
Instead of great server, they have technical support that ready to assist you. I rarely create ticket to their support since everything can be done via their control panel and site very very/never down, I forgot when the last time my site was down. Anytime I create ticket to them, they will response within around 10-30 minutes. I don't need to wait for several days.
The minor thing is their SSL pricing, for me it is very costly. As an alternative, you can purchase it outside and then install it on their server. Their support always ready to help for installation.
A++ Service
I have gone through so many hosting companies and I don't know why I'm very comfortable with this provider. Seriously. Not only are my questions answered quickly, but they are answered with knowledge and a satisfaction guarantee. I'm not the most tech-savvy person. Each time, my conversations last just a few minutes...that's how fast they are at getting things done! Plus, I never have to wait for HOURS to get a hold of someone like I used to with some other hosting companies. You know what else I really love? That Hostforlife is super affordable but not "cheap". Look...you can spend EUR 100/year by going with the other guys, but they'll also charge you for every little thing you add or update to your site. I spend less than EUR 80/year with Hostforlife, I can host unlimited sites. I will never switch, no matter how much they charge. They have the best everything, and I'm so glad I found them!
Hosting provider that you can trust
We are software company and we didn't want super big provider. What we want is when we submitted ticket, the support team will response fast and we don't need to wait for a day or more. One of my colleagues recommend Hostforlife, so we decide to try them. At first, we started from their lowest package to test their service. After 5 months, we decide to upgrade our plan to their Reseller plan to get more benefits and features. We have moved several projects to them. So far, our experience with them has been great and we recommend them to everybody. They can always accommodate us.
Excellent for asp.net hosting
I have hosted my site with this host for almost 1.5 years and so far, their service is terrific. I can see a couple of short downtimes though and this can be addressed by their technical team pretty fast. My old host, arvixe, will normally take a day to resolve a downtime and this host is way, way much better than my old host. Their server is a lot faster too and certainly, this is a big bargain!

I can confirm as per Luca and Aarons review above that the support and offering are still very poor. I even had a service agent send some text in large shouting capitals with highly inappropriate communications. The e-business portal is very poor and I did manage to get a refund after I raised a paypal complaint.
I would hope that they take on board these complaints and instigate positive change in their business for future success.

The statement of "All plans include latest PHP" is only valid at the moment you buy the plan. If a new version of a feature, for example PHP, is released, you have to ask them to migrate you to a different server with the latest versions on. That costs €15 ! A lot of hosting companies do this for free!
If you forgot to pay to renew your account, your account is disabled. Seems reasonable, but when you do pay, they ask again €15 to re-enable your account...

Lots of hidden fees with this company
Lots of hidden fees with this company, rather than clearly telling you what you will need to pay to get the service you require they will instead slowly hand you payments one by one each requiring the next to actually function.
An example of this would be getting EV SSL sorted out, it looks like you can do it from their control panel but apparently it only supports self signing, which in the world of SSL is like the guy selling you something telling you to trust him...
so first we get told to buy a dedicated ip, which we do, then we get told there is a setup fee to get the ip working... why is that not listed when buying it? but if you dont do it you have an ip you cannot use?, so we pay for it then get told that to get the ssl working we have to pay a one off fee which costs more than the prior two payments added together. So rather than clearly stating to get ssl working it will cost x we get sold 3 separate services in a row and if at any point we refuse all the prior services are worthless.
Poor panel feature and rudest support ever.
They do not provide Web Deploy support. No DB backup or restore but having to open a support ticket. For having "dared" to complain in a very polite manner we received an unacceptably rude answer.

We believe good Companies should appreciate a sincere feedback from their Customers. Our comment was not offensive but sincere, and such a rude answer has no excuse.
Consequently we canceled our account and, after some insistence, we finally got the promised refund.
Customer Support is the business card of a Company and in our opinion, apart from the poor panel features offered when comparing to others providers, as above pointed out, such a rude behavior does not come out in favor of Hostforlife customers care.
That is why we cannot possibly recommend Hostforlife for your business.
Insecure By Default & Won't Refund Money
After years of good hosting from another provider, I needed Windows hosting for an ASP.Net website. After looking at online reviews, I signed up with HostForLife.eu which was a big mistake.
The problem first started when I was e-mailed my account details - all http links, not secure https. When I queried this, it turns out that they don't offer SSL by default on their admin panel, so every time you log in, you'll be transmitting your username and password insecurely. Contrast this to my current hosting provider who's admin panel has SSL despite me not paying for an SSL certificate.
It gets worse. It turns out that I'd made a typo in my password, so had to use the forgotten password function so that I could raise a ticket in their support ticket system. I was expecting a password reset link, but instead my password was e-mailed to me. So not only does this company not securely hash your password, which is standard industry practice (which would mean they could not send it to you in e-mail because they don’t know what it is), they then e-mail it across the Internet.
When I raised both issues with HostForLife, they don't seem to understand or care about the very, very serious problems with their security. Having not actually even logged into my account to use the hosting, I'd had enough major warning signs about this company and requested a refund.
Their site (Top Reasons page) claims:
"30-Day Money Back Guarantee
Our top priority to deliver the ultimate customer experience, and we strongly believe that you’ll love our service - so much so that if for any reason you’re unhappy in your first 30 days as a customer, you’re more than welcome to request your money back. We have just one request - that you let us know why you’re unhappy so we can address the problem for our other customers and make our service even better."
It turns out that this is a lie. After asking for a refund, I was told that HostForLife would withhold a 15eur setup fee that apparently they've buried in their terms and conditions. This is contrary to the above statement on their site which mentions nothing about withholding any money.
I have since requested a refund twice via e-mail and twice via their support ticket portal twice, but haven't had a penny returned. After requesting a refund, the reply from their sales team asked for my solicitor's address and said their legal department had my details. I don't think that person is quite right in the head - why on earth refunding me my money requires me to get a solicitor, I don't know.
I've lodged a refund request direct with PayPal, in the meantime, I would strongly advise everyone to avoid this company like the plaque.
UPDATE (10th July 2017): Today HostForLife attempted to have this review removed, claiming that I wasn't a customer of theirs when they know full well that I was. Clearly, this is a company that tries to silence bad feedback and has no integrity.

Yes, I came from an opposition web hosting company that was very indifferent about the SERVICE they provided! I have been with three other web hosting companies in the last 10 years before I stumbled upon Hostforlife. I must say, I am so glad I tried them out. I now have three domains with them and will be bringing all my other clients over to them as their web hosting are up for renewal.
I usually get a reply within 3 hours if I email them my problem or question. I love that they keep me posted on my problem solving by emailing me if they have to send my enquiry to another department. I am always kept in the loop.
My websites have not been down in the three years I have been with them. The pricing for their hosting is very competitive. I can't say enough good about them. In fact, i don't have anything negative to say about them at all. I am only sorry I didn't find them 10 years ago.
Very happy to refer them to anyone else in the future. :)
