Paid $99 for abn, received no email or correspondence from Honcho. Messaged to follow up, still no response.

Had to get refund from my bank. Registered abn for free through Gov website. Avoid Honcho, scam.

This company is a complete scam, I mean completely. I have never heard of this company before and never applied for anything. My credit card details were used in a transaction without my knowledge, the card details had none of my information except the number and they feel it is legitimate that they take money from me without refunding me
. They were completely rude on the phone to boot. Truly guys they are scammers and with their international call centre, good luck if you think you're going to get assistance.

Do not use Honcho for registering your business. High fees, misleading google reviews. You cannot write a google review or read all their 2191 reviews When asking for a refund within less than 15 minutes, they won’t excepted a little amount. I cannot use the ABN I have paid for

Honcho's business model is charging high prices for services that are free (e.g. ABN registration), or charge a much higher rate for other services. After moving domain name registration and email to a much cheaper provider, and then requesting email be cancelled through an online agent chat, they have charged credit card $299 for another annual Microsoft 365 business basic plan. Cost to buy direct from Microsoft is $108.

Of course, they have no record of the chat that cancelled the email.

Deceitful and overpriced. It costs $102 (May 25) to register an ABN for 3 years if you do it yourself. Honcho tries for $400+. The scam works this way: choose a 3 year option, then get invoiced for 1 year. Contact them about the error and they try to charge you more. Cancel and they keep ~$50 as a "fee". If you get scammed, dispute your card charge immediately with your bank for false advertising, keep all chat transcripts, and be ready to file at Small Claims division of local court.

Honcho is a fraudulent company, selling people what they can get for free. We needed an ABN, and Honcho positioned itself to look like the official ABN website and got us to pay $99 for something we could have gotten for free on the government website. How can Honcho employees respect themselves after that?

After starting my ABN registration through the official ABR website, I received an email urging me to continue my application or it would expire in 48 hours. The email looked genuine and came at just the right time, so I assumed it was part of the official process. I clicked the link, completed the registration, and was charged $99.

Only after sharing this with my partner did I find out that applying for an ABN through the official government site is completely free. I realised I had been misled.

It’s extremely deceptive for a company to design their communication to look like it’s from a government source and target people who are going through a legitimate process. It’s unfair and feels like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of confusion. I strongly advise others to avoid this service.

i asked for a refund on a ABN application that i cancelled and was advised the following: Kindly expect an update in a separate email within 20 business days or once processed. Kindly read our Terms of Use about the refund (Clause 40) for any additional questions. when i questioned the 20 day, which by the way isn't stipulated in Clause 40!, they responded Our refund procedure involves several meticulous steps to ensure accuracy, compliance, and fairness of the refund process. Our team initiates the process with verification of purchase and eligibility for a refund. We also conduct reviews of the transaction details to avoid any errors in the refund amount and to maintain financial integrity. Lastly, in the technical aspect of the refund process, it includes updates to our systems and financial platforms which usually take some time, and this ensures accuracy of the refund records.

Our 20-business-day window accounts for potential delays that may arise during this comprehensive process. Please be assured that we understand the urgency of your request and are actively working to expedite the process. Once all checks are complete, we will confirm the refund and notify you promptly via email confirmation.
for this company to take your money in seconds circa$400 and then say wait 20 days is unacceptable.

Is this fraudulent behaviour?
I thought i was paying ASIC because of the deceptive format of their refernce to ASIC services on their site which is prioritized in the google search for ASIC.
Note: Honcho is disguised as BusinessName.com.au which is prioritised in the google search for ASIC
I contacted Honcho business immediately (within 5 minutes) after an incorrect $297.00 payment transaction, this afternoon.  I requested a full refund of the $297.00 

Honcho hadn't processed the application nor the payment so at the time they have not incurred costs or damage at the time of the refund request.

Please refund the $297.00 as requested and I was told that I have to pay $43.85 for the refund, even though that had not processed the payment nor the registration at the time of my refund request.

I cancelled my credit card and I have reported Honchos alleged fraudulent charge of $43.85 for this simple payment error to the Honcho business.
