We are Homemade Homes the experienced property sales team within Accent Housing. Homemade Homes by Accent is a brand name for the sale of homes owned by Accent Housing Limited and Accent Homemade Limited.
We specialise in Shared Ownership, another way to buy your home. You buy a percentage and pay rent on the rest. We own just part of it – but you’re living there, you decorate it and decide when to sell.
Buying a percentage means a smaller deposit and a smaller mortgage. It’s a sooner first step on the ladder for lots of people. Usually, you can carry on buying further shares to own it 100%.
Buying a share means you need a lower mortgage and deposit than purchasing a property outright. This makes it a cost-effective way to own your own home and ideal for first-time buyers. Shared Ownership usually works out less per month than renting privately.
We want to be ‘with you for your journey’, whether that is helping you to take the first step onto the housing ladder or helping you search for a new home, we will be right there with you.
We have Shared Ownership homes across the country, from Surrey to Yorkshire and have helped hundreds of people fulfil their home ownership ambitions. We offer new and resale Shared Ownership homes as well as helping our current customers buy more of their home or sell it when they want to move on.

The updates were great
The updates were great. The only bad thing I would say is that rather than a bun fight with other potential buyers going off to all get financially agreed etc, it would work much better if they worked down from the list & give the chance to whoever was first on the list & then move down should they not get approved etc.

Ash and Charlotte are hidden gems!
Ash was my main point of contact throughout the initial enquiry to the purchase of my home. He was efficient in replying to my emails, friendly, answered every stupid question I thought of and was there when I needed him to assist with everything. He went out of his way to help me when I was getting frazzled with the documents and made the process very easy.
Charlotte has also been amazing in the final part of my purchase. Very friendly and kind, really made life very easy for me, especially as I was in unknown territory and really needed help and support.

Treated with contempt
I showed interest in a property over a weekend, followed this up by calling agent every day the following week, could never speak to person dealing with this property, her colleagues kept saying she'd call back....NEVER called back. I was clearly not the only one being ignored as property owner started using another agency because of this incompetence, by the time someone eventually told me about this it was too late to view/put an offer on the place because there was already one made by someone else. I will NEVER use Homemade in future. Only reason this got 2 and not 1 star is because of the agents colleagues who eventually told me part of the situation.
I have read Homemades response and am not surprised they now want to apologise and show concern for a situation that is utterly beyond redemption for me, but is now online for everyone else to see. Property I was after was in Camberley.

Dedication
I started the process of shared ownership on a new build in Feb 23 & was unlucky to not obtain my 1st choice, however Ash pulled out all the stops to ensure I was able to get another house on their development and I now have a reserved property. If I had any questions I would always be contacted & likewise with any updates I am kept informed. Great service & helpful employees within this company

After a long and stressful process as first time buyers, my partner and I have finally received the keys to our new home.
I can’t put into words how supported we have felt by Homemade homes, in particular by Charlotte Swan. She has kept us updated throughout the process, with emails and calls- sometimes even multiple times a day. Charlotte has been the main driver of our purchase, chasing people and pushing for things to be done. Her and the whole team are amazing and I can’t recommend them enough.
If you are a nervous first time buyer, give Homemade homes a go!
