Fantastic Service again!

This is our third order from H&F - we now own wardrobes (X2), Chest of Drawers and now a Plank Bed.

The quality of the furniture is outstanding as is the service over the phone and from the delivery drivers.

If you are looking for great wooden furniture look no further!

Recently purchased a bespoke Indigo plank bed from H&F. Very pleased with it. I got the side rails on mine raised up a bit so that the bed sits higher and gives more room underneath for storage. The extra height suits this bed really well. Best bed I've ever had. Delivery time was spot on and the bed is very high quality. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Firstly, the furniture that H & F make and sell is beautifully handcrafted and the workmanship is second to none.
Secondly, Victoria at H & F is the most amazing person and the customer service she gave us was the best I have ever received anywhere. We wanted to purchase a plank bed and looked online to see that there was a 6-8 week lead time for deliveries. The issue we had was that we had moved house recently and I am 7 1/2 months pregnant, our existing bedframe was stolen from outside our house by the local scrap metal collection. We had already slept on a mattress on the floorboards for three weeks which was agony. Victoria helped us get a bed delivered the same day within a couple of hours as if by some miracle. Just to point out we are really local to the store and even asked if we could collect one as they had one already in stock. I cannot thank them enough for helping us and going above and beyond.
The bed is stunning and the price is similar to what you would in some cheaper establishments. We even looked at flatpack beds to see if we could get one quicker and they were the same kind of price for pretty much no quality. Once again thank you to everyone at the store that have helped more than ever.

From start to finish the quality of service we have received at H&F has been second to none! We had seen our dream bed in a pop up window, and when we went to the store and met Victoria and saw the bed we knew we had made the right choice. Victoria was so helpful, and gave us details of the finance options we had. The four poster England Bed we chose is stunning. H&F kept us well informed of the progress of our order and on delivery day the team were polite and professional. We were aware of H&F's fantastic reputation, but our experience has only enhanced our opinion of them. Beautiful products, amazing customer service great value. 5 stars

We saw the furniture online and looked at the reviews before ordering. We ordered a kingsize bed base, 2 x 3 drawer bedside cabinets, a 4 drawer tallboy cabinet and a 3 x 3 matching mirror. It arrived within 8 weeks from ordering and was delivered by 2 fabulously helpful drivers. All the communication was great and we are so pleased with our plank bedroom furniture. So chunky, clearly hand built and smells so good!!

We recently purchased our furniture from H&F for the Bulls Head in Holymoorside when transforming our upstairs into bedrooms. Can’t thank them enough for the good service and very good quality furniture we could not be happier with how the rooms have turned out.

I purchased a Dinning table from H&F. The table it self is very good quality well made and unique. The staff who delivered the item were great explained everything including how to maintain wax the table. Had a small issue but the company director was very supportive in assisted in every way possible to rectify our concern. Overall I strongly recommend H&F. Both the quality of their products and service have been outstanding!

If you like furniture made with some care, don't shop here. I am gutted with what we have purchased, I would send back for a second time if it had not been so close to Xmas, The first table delivered was 2 inches narrower than we thought at 3 foot wide, the extensions were made at a different width and a different thickness so there was a step down on each end of the table. The chairs were a disaster, none cut right, with the seats put on at an angle, one had a screw missing and all had gaps around 1cm between the end of the seated part and the legs. We eventually got the table replaced and they have brought a table that the 3 planks that make up the table are at different heights so you can't put a glass on the seams that run down the table. They sent replacement wooden seats for the chairs which are better but some scratched and not very nice quality but they fit better. One of the new extensions has a letter p scratched into it. They also put a big crushed dent in my solid wood floor that's now ruined, and took my tape measure and not had it returned. Seems in my experience I have paid a lot of money for some sloppy work. To be fair they did communicate about the issues and attempted to sort it out but I would never return and I'm upset with what I am left with, it's not what I expected at all, 2 of the chairs on one side fit under the table, they dont fit under the table the other side, sadly not much skill and attention to detail, and yes I know hand made furniture varies, I accept that but a table that can stand glasses without them wobbling all over the place would be a basic requirement in a table for me.

What an exceptional service from start to finish. No pushy sales people and the furniture is top class. I also need to mention the 2 men that delivered (22/10/21 12:30pm in Clowne), i didnt catch there name but they went above and beyond to make sure everything was set up, including my TV, they are a credit to your company. You know when you really don’t like shopping and you dread that visit to the showroom due to pushy sales people following you around, well, we had the opposite experience. An absolutely beautiful shop, well laid out with a great atmosphere and top of the range products. We initially went to have a look at a particular sofa, Daniella was so helpful and not once put us under any pressure, she went over and above to find what we needed and answered any questions we had. We ended up ordering the sofa and went back a week later to buy a table and chair set. Thank you H&F x

I have used H&F many times in the past, purchasing a lot of furniture from there store. I had a fault with a piece of furniture which was purchased from another store not associated with H&F that sold very similar products.(indigo) So I checked the website out and H&F were giving the alternative option about the recently closed store. So I contacted them to discuss repair. The item needing repair was collected upon delivery of some other furniture I had purchased from them. Months passed and still no word of the item being repaired. (Fully taking into consideration they are a busy store)more time passed so I rang and emailed to chase up the repair. No joy. Around 4 months later they manage to track the item down and ask me to collect and pay for it. So I did. Upon collection the item looked great so I rang up to pay the amount asked. Upon arrival back home it became apparent there was no iron mongery on the item and it was totally the wrong size. I rang up to explain what had happened and was told someone would pick the item up and measure the correct size, almost a year has passed and I still have the item. I have now been asked to measure the door myself and someone will collect it? Very disappointed. Not only do I have a item that is useless I was not even offered any sort of refund.

Ordered a plank blanket box with irregular dimensions, and 4x chairs. There was a delay to the first delivery of a couple of a few
Weeks but importantly we were informed (amazing how rare this is with most companies).

The items arrived, the chairs were spot on, great quality and as we had hoped for. The blanket box was incorrect measurements. The width we had specified was taken as depth… accidents happen, mistakes are made and it’s how companies deal with them that really matters.

Daniela called to apologise, confirming that the replacement would be sped up and delivered as quick as they could. She kept us in the loop and delivery was made as specified in the expedited timeline. She even delivered the product herself as she was in the area, was very friendly… couldn’t have asked for it to be handled any better.

Just had my hall table delivered, & I’m Thrilled to bits with it.
If you’re looking for a solid well made item, this is just the job.
I’d previously had a nest of tables from H&F & been really happy with the service & company.

Plank bed arrived today - super piece of furniture; high quality, stylish and very solid.
Customer service was very good and the two guys who delivered and constructed the bed were excellent: arrived at the scheduled time, were very efficient and courteous (took their shoes off at the door before coming in too!).
There was a delay due to lockdown and receipt of supplies, but this was wholly understandable and was communicated upfront by H&F. Certainly worth the wait, I would definitely recommend.

Just received our new dining table from h&f and we are absolutely delighted with it!! It's beautiful and amazing workmanship put into it. Delivery drivers were lovely too. Well worth the wait ( due to covid) will defo be ordering from them again.

We ordered a butchers table but the wrong table was ordered. The company were amazing and let us use the table until the new one was made and delivered.
It was worth the wait; the quality of the table is exceptional and every single visitor comments on how much they love it.

I had a hiccup with the sizing of the drawers on a chest I ordered from H&F; this was a misunderstanding. When the chest was delivered:- it looked great and I was very happy until I started filling the drawers up with CDs. Some wouldn't fit.

I contacted H&F and they were brilliant. They made a new chest to the right drawer size and when it was ready they delivered it and took back the original chest. It is now occupying pride of place in my study with my huge CD collection stashed neatly in the drawers.

The staff were very helpful and arranged the switch at no cost to me; this was simply outstanding.

Needless to say the CD Storage (Apothecary) Chest is a lovely piece of furniture and it looks as though it will outlast me!

The best furniture shop around by far. The bed frame we ordered is absolutley stunning and have had loads of comments from friends ....all good! The workmanship is fabulous quality and pieces made to order at competitive prices. The owner Philip and his team are always pleasant, polite & cheery and nothing is too much trouble. Cant wait for our next pieces to arrive. Thanks H & F
