Thiago, Marcus and Mauricio were amazing. They arrived exactly on time and worked so hard to get all of our furniture loaded so much quicker than our last movers. They packed and wrapped everything and mangled fragile and some very heavy items carefully and effectively. They were helpful and very respectful and we would highly recommend them.

Communication was great, the removal guys were on time, courteous and efficient.

Go anywhere else. We specifically chose this company on the guarantee that they would send 3 movers with the correct equipment to move a piano between 2 apartments with stairs. They sent 2 men who were unprepared to move a piano. The piano was damaged as a result.
Although the 2 movers did their best and should be commended, the whole experience was a disaster. Holloway cannot be trusted to meet the specific requirements of a job. Don’t bother.

The team that did our removal was fantastic. They worked hard and fast. They were courteous and efficient. I have no hesitation in recommending the service to anyone.

We feel we have been significantly overcharged and treated poorly. While the actual movers who delivered our items back were nice and helpful, the office management and phone staff were unprofessional and unreliable.
1. Significant Price Discrepancies: When we first had our items picked up [Insert Year], we were quoted approximately $500. We were shocked when the final bill came to over $1,000—nearly double the quote. For context, we paid less to have professional movers move our entire 4-bedroom house for a full day than we paid Holloway just to pick up a few items (sofa, table, washer/dryer, bed). The pickup team was incredibly slow, which blew out the hourly cost.
2. Constant Price Hikes: Once our goods were in storage, the prices kept climbing. The storage fee started at $150/month and was raised twice in just. over 12 months, ending at $200/month.
3. The Christmas Cancellation: We booked Holloway to move us from our old house to our new one, with the verbal agreement that they would deliver our storage pod back to us for free as part of the package. Instead, they told us they couldn't follow through on their commitment—right before Christmas and cancelled the entire job. We were left stranded during the busiest time of the year.
4. Final Billing Issues: When we finally arranged to get our items back, the pricing remained unclear. • They quoted $189/hour but tried to charge $220/hour.
• The job took less than 2 hours, but they charged a 2.5-hour minimum due to "back to base" fees that were not clearly emphasized to us beforehand.
Every time we called to discuss these discrepancies, the office staff were defensive and tried to blame us. Based on our experience, their quotes were not accurate indicators of the final price

The 3 guys were great they did not stop working for 7 hrs stait

What we expected was a regular removalist team. We received Team Thiago and Vini from Holloway Removals who went above and beyond to individually wrap our items with moving blankets and tape, before placing everything in the most perfect interlocked furniture wall in their truck for a safe and secure trip to our new residence. The level of expertise in interlocking our furniture allowed us to load much more items than expected, negating the need for multiple trips. Only 1 trip was needed. Thank you! 🤩

Thiago and Vini carefully loaded our items into our new home, constantly reorienting our items so as not to mark or damage any walls. Legends! 🤩

Firstly, Removalist staff were hard working and polite however they basically only spoke Portuguese and communication was extremely difficult. They didn't seem to understand what was expected from them and kept asking if different pieces of furniture were to be taken away along with packed items. They weren't aware that stairs were involved at new address, not advised by employer. Their truck was too small and loading and unloading was chaotic resulting in our apartment having heavy furniture left on the first level that needed to be upstairs heavy packing boxes and furniture packed into living area and flowing onto balcony.

Instead of taking one day it took two with Holloways offering services for a third day to organize the disaster that was our apartment. No thanks!

Main bed frame severely broken and antique dresser wheel torn off. Statement in initial correspondence ensured items needing disassembly and reassembly would be done in an a professional manner- they weren't.

Staff moving and packing in most instances had only been it he country several months or as little as one week and definitely weren't trained or capable of the unreasonable expectations placed on them by this company.

Warning make sure you get an upfront quote and someone calls to your home to assess the move and book sufficient resources so you’re not meeting with your purchaser on settlement day explaining why you are still there to finish the Removalist shoddy attempt at clearing the house.

The stress placed on my family has been unacceptable and ruined our Christmas; we are still attempting to put things right on our own.

There simply should have been a bigger crew and truck to do the job properly, over $6K to move in the same suburb is beyond the pale. Disappointed and angry doesn't even come close and I will be referring the matter to the Dept. of Fair trading to ensure other people aren't victims of this chaos that seems to maximize income to their business

The worst move ever - and overall, just bad people who do not care about you and your move but just want to extract as much money as they can from you. There are so many better removalists out there, save yourself the headache and avoid Holloway.
My experience: I had a fixed price contract, meaning I paid for the full job in advance instead of paying by the hour. Then on the day of the move, they took me hostage, saying things like “this item is not on the list so we are not moving it unless you pay extra” or “we need a second truck and you have to pay extra for it”. Disgusting behaviour when *they* put the inventory list together and never discussed with me what would happen if any item was missing.
Now on the move itself: I have never seen such a lazy team. Anytime they would go back to the truck, they would disappear for 5 minutes, and when I would check in on them, they would just be chatting or on their phone. A move that should have taken 7-8h lasted 11h, and they were not done. And then they just left, leaving me stranded with some of the items still at the pick up place.
The following day I frantically tried to call and email customer service to finish the move - they simply NEVER called me back. I had to call in real removalists to finalise the move on the day, which obviously cost me a fortune. And only after I sued them did Holloway agree to reimburse me for the extra costs.

Axel and Pedro were amazing. They were polite and helpful. Respectful of us and our possessions. This is the second time I’ve used Holloway and I am just as pleased this time as last time

From the very beginning The service, follow-up and the move itself was outstanding.

Kyran handled my initial inquiry and was professional friendly and available for lots of questions in between.

The team of removal list themselves on both ends could not have been more professional and helpful.

They handled all of our belongings with care, placing them where we ask them to without question and everything was well wrapped.

Moving is such a daunting task, but I must say that the service we received from Holloways removed a lot of the stress.

Significant damage to property. King living bed damaged. Stair banister damages. Walls and floor damaged. I attempted to stop the damage, but the removalists ignored my requests, and shouted at me instead.

Our move was from Victoria to NSW and it was relatively smooth sailing from start to finish.
James was brilliant from the beginning to the end with prompt responses to enquiries and was very patient with all our questions. The Melbourne collection teams lead by Pedro and Victor were very professional and did an amazing job getting the two containers loaded. The Sydney delivery team lead by Emanuel were also very professional and unloaded the containers efficiently. Even our new next-door neighbour commented on how organised the unload was. While some minor damage to a few goods is not unexpected there were only 2 items which we requested replacements for. Two metal pegboards were bent in transit and a bbq cover had been damaged from rubbing up against something. We were very pleased to receive compensation for these items. We would highly recommend using Holloway Removals & Storage for a professional and trouble-free move.

Julie was amazing guiding me through the whole process for a move interstate. Seamless and every step was covered. Thiago and Marcus were amazing removeralists really helpful and strong.

Granted, it was a hot day, and not the fault of the driver, but they had tyre problems and so were 2.5 hours late. They guys looked after our items, no issues. They were polite. However, at times I thought it was all too slow, we carried boxes down ourselves to help move it along. They packed some items that we didn't want packed, easy mistake, but the time went just over 4 hours by 5 minutes, which was easily time wasted, and so it cost me another $100 odd dollars.

I had a terrible experience with this company. Initially I booked removing furniture and removing rubbish and I got an email confirming this and I got charged $100 for it that confirms it’s pre booked. However on the day of removing the furniture, the removalist guys said we were not told about removing rubbish and left us without doing it. Imagine it’s end of our tenancy and we are left with a house full of rubbish including a massive sofa. On top of this it’s Sunday no rubbish removalist works today or it’s already booked with such a short notice. I had to call so many other companies on Saturday night after a long day of removing to find someone. I got super stressed and anxious. This is terrible service no responsibility even when I got confirmed email and got charged for the booking. The guys left and said the company did not tell us. Terrible customer service as well, imagine someone from customer service yelled at me that I didn’t make the mistake why do I have to apologize. The issue is the customer service represents the company. I will never recommend this company to anyone and will never use them again horrible
