Major downgrade since Deel’s acquisition. Response times are painfully slow, and hardware pricing has skyrocketed. There’s really no reason to work with them anymore, plenty of other companies in the space offer faster service, better pricing, and a far smoother experience.
Harassments With Equipment Return Process
Generally speaking it should be an easy process, you work remote, your company orders equipment through Hofy/Deel, you return the equipment when you no longer need it. Apparently this company never got the memo on how to treat customers. The equipment return process through Hofy/Deel was an extremely disappointing experience, bordering on harassment. While I understand the importance of retrieving company assets, their collection practices were overly aggressive and poorly coordinated. Within 24 hours of their initial return request (which didn't specify any deadlines), they flooded my inbox and phone with messages - sending notifications literally every minute.
What made this particularly frustrating was that after enduring this barrage of communications while managing a household with ill family members, I discovered that the earliest possible pickup date wasn't even until the following week.
I filed a complaint to their support department and their response was that "This is possibly a glitch in our system..". Extremely alarming to see them use your personal contact information so freely.
The company needs to seriously reconsider their approach on how they do business especially when considering what they charge. Their practices are downright insulting. There are other platforms who offer similar services for less, try them before settling with these guys.

Great team but eye-wateringly expensive…
Great team but eye-wateringly expensive service.
The team at Hofy are great and the UI is brilliant but boy are they expensive. There are a ton of 'less sexy', but better priced providers out there that are worth looking for.
The fees at Hofy are wild and I would passionately tell people not to use Hofy, especially SMEs (I appreciate how sad that sounds!)
For context we're a team of 39 who moved to Hofy a couple of years ago.
This post is to hopefully help smaller companies who can't afford to get burnt by Hofy's fees.
1. Hofy charge a flat 25% fee for any purchase on top of the price of the laptop.
2. Hofy will charge approx £200 a year for standard and loaner device support — typically you'll take a 36-month contract so that's another £600 over the contract lifetime.
3. That device support doesn't cover accidental. damage as an FYI, we've paid over £900 for repairs without being consulted beforehand.
4. If you want to move a laptop around between colleagues that's another £55 quid.
5. A warranty on top of that will cost approx £240 for a two year one.
6. After 36 months you don't own the laptop and you move onto a monthly rolling laptop which for a standard MacBook Air will cost £62.33 a month!
As I say the team are brilliant and if you're an enterprise business Hofy I think would be fine.
However, I get the impression they rode the covid wave very well as folks were forced to work remotely.
Now the dust has settled on covid Hofy now look bloated and expensive with some great, more agile providers who can provide a better service at a much more reasonable cost!

Great product, we have used Hofy for a little while now and everything has been super easy and seamless.

Remote procurement made easy
Thanks to Hofy it's very easy to manage onboardings and ofboardings of our employees. The fact that you can create portfolios of equipment and assign budgets to the teams makes things very straightforward.
The portal is very easy to use, making the sending of equipment to anyone, anywhere, a breeze.

Cashflow efficient, global provider of tech/office equipment
Hofy is a great way of getting tech to your global teams easily.
We've used Hofy to provide laptops and other peripherals to team members in 5+ countries globally. The service is usually surprisingly quick. The support team responds quickly and our account manager is on hand for any escalations.
Yes, it does cost more than buying the stuff outright. But you can spread the cost so it's less impactful on cash flow and they provide additional capabilities - which is super useful as we don't have an IT team.

Reactivating account
I had used a different email when I logged onto Hofy as part of my onboarding and also had no idea what my password was.
My account email was changed for me within 20 minutes of my query and I changed my password and logged on with no issue

Great customer support
Support quickly responded to inquiries about a shipment to another country. They continued to give us status updates as they worked with the local partners to get a shipment to one of our new employees. Very easy to work with!

Reliable, great customer support.
Our team has been working with Hofy for a year and it has been a great experience.
For our main regions, we use them for office equipment and accessories and they always deliver on time, and their customer support is awesome. Always flexible and willing to adapt to the customer's circumstances.
They're also always reliable in terms of computer equipment and are able to easily provide computer equipment in a low timeframe even when there are severe customs or supplier restrictions in a certain country, thanks to their network of suppliers.
