Avoid this company the maximum as you can I wanna start with the horrible dirty accommodation with bugs in the beds, they didn't warn me a month before about quicking my job it's only 10 days before so I had to arrange myself some how this agency is to going followed by the authorities they did a lot of things against laws and humanity one day they gonna pay the bill I'm sure.

LA PEOR AGENCIA DE TODA HOLANDA. Aparte de meter a la gente en casas que están hechas un asco, juegan con tu dinero y te roban. Hace 1 mes aproximadamente dejé de trabajar con ellos y a la hora de darme el dinero que me deben por vacaciones se han inventado que me pusieron 2 multas los dos últimos días que estuve allí. Cosa que es imposible porque en todo momento estuvo el coche aparcado en parking público. Son unos ladrones, no trabajéis con ellos si no queréis ser estafados en todos los sentidos.

Terrible experience – complete lack of responsibility and humanity

I had a horrible experience with Hobij. I arrived in the Netherlands on 15 October 2025 to start working through their agency, and on 20 October I suffered a severe allergic reaction with risk of anaphylactic shock.

When I urgently contacted my coordinator, Mr. Guilherme Gonzalo, I received no medical assistance or support. He simply told me to go to a pharmacy, buy some medicine, and wait one month — even though I was in serious danger.

Later that morning, I called the health insurance company, and they confirmed that I was not registered at all — meaning Hobij had not activated my mandatory Dutch health insurance. This is illegal under Dutch law (Zorgverzekeringswet).

Because of this negligence, I was forced to fly back to Portugal for medical treatment, and during the flight my lung collapsed due to the untreated allergic reaction. I am now hospitalised at Hospital Pedro Hispano in Porto.

This company completely failed in its duty of care, showing no responsibility, no empathy, and no respect for workers’ safety.
I am still waiting for a formal apology and full reimbursement of the costs I had to cover myself.

I strongly advise anyone — especially foreign workers — to think twice before trusting Hobij.

The worst, accommodating is awful , not clean and they treat you like shit , god forbid you get sick , because I got sick and on new years eye they told me that I have nowhere to stay and I need to go from the accommodation , in other words they put me on the street , they do not give work for 5 days , you will be lucky if you get 3 shifts and if you get then then keep in mind you won’t be able to make things end , awful experience I won’t go with any agency again. Better look for other option

.ps- I was in accommodation with 16 people two toilets and in one of the toilets a guy always was taking a dump and never flushing so it smelled like shit the whole time , extremely dirty and one of my friend got fungus in the toes from the bath

0 starts for this agency, worked for them for 6 months, disgusting, overpriced and not maintained in any shape or form accommodations, they will lie to you and after leaving they will tell you that your holidays will be paid in 2 months time and the last week that you work they will forget to pay as well, they are just an agency that exploits foreign workers, try to avoid them

Awful. Disgrace and full of all beyond but nothing resolved. Left me on streets for whole weekend. Coordinator made even more awful comebacks to my face when I was so shocked. Don’t.
Rude, unprofessional,unqualified,rude and again rude and had nothing to do with how you will survive. Just don’t.

I am arthur castro and ofcourse i have bad experiences in this company , the security oficers in the house are super racist with people that are not romanian , they protect romanian people at all costs and acept other to be desrespected by the romanians , if you want to go to netherlands to have a job please never go to hobij , is the worst job comany in the netherlands they don t care about nothing just the money that you can provide

Cuidado con esta compania son unos chorizos..lleva la gente a Olanda y despues los dejan tirados, a mi sobrino y una cuadrilla mas los han dejado tirados en el aeropuerto le prometerion trabajo y cuando llegaron alli les dejo tirados y cuando le dices dicen que no han sido ellos.
Verguenza deberia darles y mas controles de la policia para ver como se burlan de la gente

Upon my arrival in the Netherlands, none of the promises made by Hobij were kept:

I did not receive the promised transport to my accommodation.

The room provided was significantly smaller and in worse condition than shown.

There was no work on the next day as promised, and no clear information was given on when it would begin.

I was also promised a car, which I never received.

These broken promises raise serious concerns about the reliability of the agency and how future matters like salary would be handled. I worked as an order picker for Sligro, assigned through hobij.nl.

Bij mijn aankomst in Nederland is geen enkele belofte van Hobij nagekomen:

Er was geen vervoer naar mijn accommodatie, zoals beloofd.

De kamer die ik kreeg was veel kleiner en in slechtere staat dan getoond.

Er was geen werk de volgende dag, en er werd geen duidelijke informatie gegeven over wanneer het zou beginnen.

De beloofde auto heb ik ook nooit ontvangen.

Deze verbroken beloften roepen ernstige twijfels op over de betrouwbaarheid van het uitzendbureau, vooral met het oog op toekomstige zaken zoals loonbetaling. Ik was tewerkgesteld als orderpicker bij Sligro, via hobij.nl.

PS - When I arrived to my accommodation, I have meet a guy in person with the same experience as mine, so it is most definitely a systematic problem.

P.S. Toen ik bij mijn accommodatie aankwam, ontmoette ik iemand die exact dezelfde ervaring had als ik. Het lijkt dus duidelijk om een structureel probleem te gaan.

Ik heb alleen maar goed ervaring met Hobij. Zeer correct bedrijf en mensen die daar werken zijn altijd behulpzaam.

I applied a few days ago for a position in the Netherlands and I received an email from recruitment telling me to apply for a laundry employee and I told them that I already applied for a position but I'm not interested in the laundry vacancy. This recruiter named Olga reached out to me after days and told me that these positions I applied for are not available but for some reason which she didn't know they were still on their website which is not very reasonable. She then proceeded telling me that the accommodation wasn't the best and that she didn't know if the rest of the tenants were cleaning and that her intention wasn't for me to come not like it and then leave etc and I asked her to send me some pictures, the video call immediately ended, I tried to call her back and then she texted me after a while telling me that her battery went off even though we had scheduled the call from the day before which means that she should have made sure to charge it as a decent professional would do, then after viewing them on my email I asked her some questions on WhatsApp in order to make sure where I would be staying at and under which conditions as well as if she's had any complains so far from other tenants because a person has the right to know where they'll be going and who they'll be sharing a room with. She read message on the 26/09/2024 and she never replied not even to one of my questions and today I received an email saying that they proceeded to the termination of my application asking me if it wasn't my intention to work with them. Seeing all this unprofessional behaviour didn't strike me good and judging by the previous employee's reviews looks like I dodged a bullet and wanted to share my experience with this agency. I wouldn't use it again in the future nor do I recommend it to anyone given that they're not honest about their information on their website and it's very likely that they're looking for something else and hate it when you start asking questions.

The houses are terrible and the jobcoaches Wiktoria Szafranska and
Jolanta Kurant are racists and they are doing terrible job over there full of discriminations . They put me to stay in the house from the photos below and they were stealing money from my payslip .
When I was asking them to change me location they were saying that its not up to them to change me to a better place . Also when they were stealing money from my payslip they were also saying the same stuff . Please be carefull people :)

Duidelijke communicatie, doen wat ze beloven!

I came to the Netherlands and nobody picked up me and i had to sleep on Airport untill 00:00 and than Einhoven airport is closed untill 4:30 and it was February, after that i have waited 2 weeks to start working, and i had to pay for accommodation those weeks, they do not pay your sallary on time nor you get all your hours payed, actually its days that they didnt pay me not only hours..accommodation was ex hospital and that would not be a problem that they keep public toilets and showers clean but they dont. To sum up, long story short, i would never recommend this agency to anybody not even worst enemy. Stay away and save ur money cuz with Hobij, your minus is growing every week! Jolanta is joobcoach that scream on people for no reason, 25y old unskilled, very closed mind Poland girl that think that all of us are her slaves, is worst person that i have meet in my life and for the firts time i felt hate to some person. The worst company ever!Dont trust them!unrespectfull staff!they breang me from Romania to work for them and when I arrive here and I expend all my money on flights,they leave me on The streets!!!
