This is my second recommendation for Harry and his business. He is almost like one of the family now which is a great endorsement for a tradesperson.

From our first experience many years ago, when he helped us with an absent neighbours boiler and a leak when he responded within an hour I recall. Harry has not only serviced our boiler annually but also another elderly neighbour too and she thinks he is wonderful which is a big thing as she always complains about other trades doing work at her home. He has also carried out some really complex fault finding and found a resolution for a long standing heating circulation issue we had since moving into our house over 12 years ago.

Being a retired Water Engineer I can say hand on heart that Harry is unique. A true professional, personable, friendly, tidy, honest, with real attention to detail. His pipework is almost an art form.

I arrived home from a weekend away to find I had no hot water. I phoned HJA Heating after reading the reviews. I'm very glad I did as Harry arrived on time the following morning and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem.

The review below is the same as I have left on another review site. I'm copying it because it praises Harry highly, and, well, says what we want to say about him and his work.

Harry installed a new boiler in my mother-in-law's property a few days ago. Everything about his work, manner and conduct said "absolute professionalism", but combined with a really friendly, helpful approach. We had complete faith in Harry: he did everything he said he would, when he said he would, keeping us fully informed from pricing to invoice. Mum-in-law was bowled over by how clean and tidy he left everywhere!

My wife and I have Harry service our boiler annually. All I've said above applies to any contact we have had with.

Excellent service, helpful, prompt, efficient and tidy. Recommended to me by a few of my neighbours and I would happily recommend myself.

HJA Heating was recommended to us and certainly proved that in every way. The gas engineer who fitted the new flu to our heater was thorough, checked that everything was up to maker’s specs and cleaned up before explaining what he had done. Payment was requested some days later which is a change from other firms. Some time later the same engineer came back because we had reported a loud drumming that started soon after the boiler fired up. After checking it over he told us that although the boiler was coming to the end of its life there were still a number of years left in it, no attempt being made to have us get a new one and that the noise was nothing to worry about. All in all although the charges were slightly more than the competition wa fell that it is best not to take chances with gas. In other words, you get what you pay for.

Informed us on the day as to what time to expect them. Arrived on time stated. Explained what he was going to do, when finished he checked the heating system to make sure it was working as it should and didn’t leave until he was satisfied. Overall very satisfied with how professionally he did his job and left the area clean and tidy.
