Did the Manaslu Trek with guide Kedar and had such an amazing time. Having Kedar made the whole experience super smooth and much more enjoyable. It wasn’t just walking to the top but also frequently stopping to take in the beauty of the mountains, understanding cultural aspects on the trail and religious connections which made it much more special. Also having everything organised for you gave us peace of mind and no stress while on the walk. Kedar also went the extra mile to make sure we were always comfortable, book us the best rooms and give us the best advice for our level to make sure we had the most enjoyable time. Would highly recommend!

I found this company with a Google search, and after reaching out through WhatsApp, I had a wonderful experience with communication, planning, and the guide execution and company were all wonderful!

I went on a 6 day Peaky Peak trek. Not the longest or most difficult, compared to some of the higher elevation or number of days like 11, 18+, but I can tell you it was a challenging trek at times, easier others, but the views were absolutely spectacular!

Lalit was my guide. He had a wonderful personality and communication process. I was well prepared, happy, calm, safe, and had a wonderfully fun experience with Lalit. He was happy, fun, and friendly the entire journey. He was respectful, friendly, helpful, and made every single local, Nepali or foreign traveler smile and welcome us.

My partner and I booked and just completed our 4-day Everest View Hotel trek with Himalayas Ecological Trekking, and from the very beginning we felt completely supported. The booking process was simple and straightforward, and communication was always easy. They were so approachable and always quick to respond to any questions or little worries we had.

From day one, we truly felt looked after. Nawa. Wow! Nawa is unbelievable. We honestly don’t know how to put into words how incredible he was. From the moment we met him, we felt safe, informed and completely at ease. He shared so much knowledge about the mountains, the trek itself, and the Nepalese and Sherpa culture. His English was excellent, and he explained everything so clearly. What stood out most was how much he genuinely cared. He went above and beyond in ways we will never forget. We didn’t see Mt Everest on the day we had hoped because of clouds — but Nawa got up with us very early the following morning to give us another chance- he truely went out of his way as he did the whole trip. Thanks to him, we were able to see Mt Everest, and it was one of the most special moments of our lives. That memory will stay with us forever and having a guide as amazing as Nawa.
In the evenings, sitting around the fire together, talking and laughing, were some of our favourite moments we had with Nawa as well as all of the rest. It didn’t just feel like a guided trek — it felt personal and meaningful.

The food throughout the trip was amazing, and the hot drinks after long walks were always so appreciated. Again Nawa ensured we always had what we needed.

And Man, our porter — he was amazing. We genuinely don’t know how he carried everything he did. He worked so incredibly hard every single day, always with a smile on his face. His English was very good, and he constantly made us smile. He took such good care of us. We are so grateful for him.

We cannot thank Nawa and Man enough. They made this experience far more special than we ever imagined. We feel very lucky to have shared this journey with them.

In September me and a friend did the Annapurna Circuit. We have absolutely enjoyed our experience - from start to finish. The communication before arrival was very good, with quick replies to our questions. There is a lot of flexibility in terms of how you want to schedule your days. Our guide Kaji and porter Bibek were amazing as well, with their knowledge of the area, their humour and hospitality. Would recommend using Himalayan Ecological Trekking as the company for your next trek!

The company was recommended to us for our trekking plans in Nepal. Even beforehand, the contact was very pleasant as they helped us find the perfect trek for us.

We met Bikesh, the manager, and Hari, our guide, in Kathmandu to discuss the details of the 12-day Annapurna Circuit trek. They were very flexible and considerate of our needs. For example, I got sick the night before the trek and it was possible to postpone the start by two days, just one hour before!

Our guide Hari is very experienced. We felt comfortable right away because of his companionable personality and didn't have to worry about anything for the next few days. It was always fun to be with him. Even during the more challenging parts of the trek (due to the altitude and weather conditions) he was able to motivate us and make us feel safe.

The scenery of the Annapurna circuit is breathtaking. Early March was the perfect time for us as the weather was good and the trails were not too crowded.

All in all we can highly recommend the company and our guide Hari. Thank you for everything!

Himalayan Ecological trekking is absolutely perfect in every aspects. This year we planed to go to Annapurna circuit and managing director Bikesh Rana wonderfully programed the itinerary for our team. One of our member actually got sick at the very last step of Throng La. Bur Bikesh Rana took care of him until he made it to the top of the hill. We are very thankful for the whole services and Bikesh and his staff's performances were absolutely GREAT!!!

A friend of mine and I wanted to go trekking in the Dolpa region in Nepal. With Himalayan Ecological Trekking we found the perfect company which provided us not only with accurate and honest information about the trekking routes which were possible to do for us in the time we had but also with a local guide who was familiar with the area (which is not automatically given when you book a tour). We walked for a month in one of the most beautiful areas we've ever seen in our life. There weren't many other people trekking and we came in contact with the local community while eating local food whenever we had the chance to (Nepali or Tibetan traditional food). Bikesh Rana, the managing partner, organised the domestic flights and special permits for us. He was really listening to what we wanted and interested in how we felt about the tour and managed to organise an outstanding experience for both of us. We had an amazing time in nature and with the people and will definitely go with Himalayan Ecological Trekking again.

The tour to Mustang was perfectly organized for our group of 5 people. We had good cars, very good drivers and two excellent guides, Harkam and Lalith, who gave us a lot of information about the culture and the country. We were impressed of the landscape, how the people of Mustang are living and visited many gompas and did some trekkings carefully lead by our guides. We highly recommend this agency.

I had a wonderful and unforgettable traveling experience during my journey in Nepal on last April until May. Himalayan Ecological Trekking (HET) was helping me, not only to arrange the trip but also to realize one of my dream bucketlist: to see Mount Everest. I took a helitour to Everest Base Camp, it was unforgettable experience in my life, I was excited to enjoy gorgeous view of Everest Mountains Range during the helitour. And HET team was prepare all things for the trip with their best. Actually, it was not only helitour, HET also provided the good quality of tourism service for my trip especially for the historical trails by visiting many beautiful heritage sites at Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Bandipur old village. Besides, I also enjoyed an adventurous short trekking journey to Ghandruk Village. It was an amazing trip. Thank you to HET for the hospitality, the experienced and professional team. I really appreciate it.

I did the Annapurna Circuit Trek arriving on the 1st of May and flying off on the 14th. The first two days we went by car and hero and started trekking on the third day. The scenery and the experience as a whole was on of the best things I’ve ever seen and done. My guide Santa was a nice guy and we had some fun along the trek. I booked the trek to complete it on my own without any friends, however I let another German guys and to English on day 3 after finishing this stage and we found ourselves to play games after each day and talking a little which was very relaxing and nice. Booking just for me made everything very easygoing because ingot to meet new people who all were on the same page and if I didn’t like them or if they had gone in a different pace I could have told my guide and I would have done my own thing. Booking alone frees you from any restraints concerning your group.

Santa always took care of the accommodation and recommended me what to do and not to do, especially concerning altitude sickness and food. Whenever possible I got a room with my own western bathroom and shower. The food was good and gave me sufficient strength.
The manager of the agency Bikesh both picked me up and dropped me at the airport. I was always very friendly and I felt like he took good care of organising transportation and flights within Nepal. When on the first day the road was blocked he managed to change the transport to give one example. The money I paid in the beginning included everything (also changes in itinerary) from food to accommodation. It did not include bottled water that I ordered in the hostels.

All in all it was a very enjoyable experience for me and I would recommend everyone to do Annapurna circuit. I paid more for the trek than people I met on the trek, however I noticed that perhaps this enabled the agency and Santa to give me a more relaxing experience (I didn’t have to mind prices when ordering in the hostels etc.)
I think this was one of the best vacations I ever did.

I was in the Kanchenjunga area for about 12 days. it was my first trekking tour in Nepal. the tour was completely organized by the guide. the lodges were clean, we sometimes had hot water, the food was authentic Nepal or Tibet. the guide informed us about the nature, culture and history of nepal. Of particular note was the guide's ability to connect with the Nepalese, which we really appreciated. so we could get an insight into the culture and life in the Himalayas. Thanks to the experience of the guide, we were also able to master the heights in the mountains. The guide attached great importance to safety and health. All in all a recommendable company!

Für unsere Trekkingtour zum Kanchenjunga-Basecamp im November 2022 haben wir die Organisation Himalayan Ecological Tekking ausgewählt, eine sehr gute Entscheidung, wie sich in weiterer Folge herausstellen sollte, denn die perfekten Wetterverhältnisse zu dieser Jahreszeit und die einzigartige Landschaft sind nicht die einzigen Voraussetzungen für einen erlebnisreichen und problemlosen Aufenthalt in der entlegenen Bergregion Ostnepals. Ausschlaggebend für das gute Gelingen dieser langen Wanderung war letztendlich die hervorragende Planung der Anreise samt Gepäcktransport und die umsichtige Betreuung auf der gesamten Wegstrecke durch den Trekkingguide Bikesh und sein eingespieltes Trägerteam. Die ganze Mannschaft war in allen Belangen hochmotiviert und ständig um das Wohlergehen der Trekkingteilnehmer bemüht (Essensversorgung, Quartiervorbereitung, usw). Ich nehme an, daß wahrscheinlich auch ein sicherer, auf fairen Bedingungen beruhender Arbeitsvertrag eine Rolle gespielt hat. Außerdem waren die Träger freundschaftlich in die Gemeinschaft eingebunden, welches der ganzen Unternehmung stets eine angenehme und positive Grundstimmung verlieh. Sein umfangreiches Wissen über die Natur- und Kulturschätze der Region hat uns Bikesh immer wieder unterhaltsam zur Kenntnis gebracht. Beständig war er mit den einheimischen Bewohnern und Lodgebetreibern im Informationsaustausch, um hinsichtlich der aktuellen Bedingungen auf der Trekkingroute auf dem Laufenden zu sein. Ich bin unserem Guide auch dankbar, daß dieser, als ich in kritischer Höhenlage an einer starken Verkühlung samt Kopfschmerzen litt, nicht gleich eine Höhenkrankheit annahm, um sicherheitshalber den Rettungshubschrauber anzufordern; eine Praxis die wir schon über andere Firmen gehört hatten. In sorgfältiger und richtiger Einschätzung meines Zustandes, konnten wir alle nach einem zusätzlichen Ruhetag unsere Tour fortsetzen. Damit war es mir vergönnt bei besten Sicht- und Wetterbedingungen die landschaftlichen Höhepunkte dieser Reise mitzuerleben und zu genießen.
Mein Resümee: die ausnehmend sympathischen Betreuer haben uns ein unvergessliches Erlebnis in der Bergwelt des Himalaya ermöglicht. Es ist für mich nur schwer vorstellbar eine solche Trekkingtour besser zu organisieren.

We did the Manaslu trek plus Tsum Valley. It was organised through Bikesh and he was so wonderfully helpful. Every single part of the trip was smoothly executed. Our guide was Lalit and he couldn't have been nicer, always going the extra step. He helped fix my shoes, knew the best places to sleep, had great jokes and a kind heart. It was definitely an adventure of a lifetime. In case I ever have the opportunity for another trip in the beautiful country of Nepal I 100% will use Himalayan Ecological Trekking company again and I would be blessed to have Lalit as a guide again. Highly recommended!

The porters were proffesional and very helpful, and were also very nice and pleasant. When our guide fell ill with diahria the company immediately sent a new one by helicopter. During our trek in the manaslu circuit at the start of october, it started raining heavily and snowing for a few days. Our second guide, Bikesh, showed extreme skill at maneuvering the trails, and finding new alternative routes back, since many of the main trails were washed off and could not be maneuvred due to the treacherous weather.

Bikesh and his wonderful team at HET had planned everything from great accommodations to trained guide.

I was able to complete the EBC successfully mainly because of the experience of my guide and HETs planning. They truly know the region very well.

I highly recommend them and will be coming back to hike in Nepal again.

I (together with a group of friends) hiked with Nir Gurung the Tilicho Lake Trek in 2021 during Dashain (October).

The trek was very well prepared and organised by Bikesh Rana's company Himalayan Ecological Trekking (HET).

Nir is a professional guide who was recommended and seconded by the HET company along with two very reliable porters. He is an experienced and dedicated guide who takes care of his fellow clients and who loves to photograph along the way. When sharing pictorial memories, it was very nice to recieve some high quality pictures of myself for a change. Because its usually me taking pictures of others :)

Also, Bikesh was very supportive throughout the entire trek but especially during preparation time. Due to our busy work schedule, we had asked him to prepare this trek for us on a very short notice. Yet, everything (trekking permits, etc. ) was organised right in time.

Thanks a lot to Bikesh and Nir for this wonderful trek. I/we truly loved the experience!!!

Auf meiner ersten Reise in Nepal als Alleinreisende hatte ich das Glück, auf Himalayan Ecological Trekking zu stoßen und Bikesh als Guide zu haben. Auf unserer gemeinsamen Trekkingtour (zum Makalu Basecamp) war er nicht nur ein lustiger Gesprächspartner, sondern auch ein fürsorglicher und äußerst engagierter Reisebegleiter, der stets um mein Wohl und meine Gesundheit bemüht war. Ich musste mich um nichts sorgen. Aus diesem Grund fühlte ich mich selbst in der Höhe ausgesprochen sicher und gut umsorgt. Auch ist Bikesh äußerst erfahren durch seine langjährige Tätigkeit als Mountain Guide. Er wusste in jeder Situation wie er am besten mit mir umgeht, sodass ich meine bestmögliche Erfahrung im Himalaya Gebirge machen konnte. Ich erfuhr interessante Details über das Leben und Wandern im Hochgebirge und die Kultur Nepals. Ich kann ihn und seine Firma nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

I hiked the Manaslu Trek with Bikesh and it was a perfectly organized modern adventure. Even when one of us did get some problems because of the height in combination with a sickness he already had before coming to Nepal, Bikesh and our Guide arranged the perfect option to help us out and everyone of our group was able to have a great time. I'm planning to trek again with Bikesh and team and want to summit a 6000m peak.
