Herts Orthodontics was established in 2003. All of our clinicians are UK qualified specialist orthodontists and registered as such with the General Dental Council (GDC). We all hold degrees in dentistry and have chosen to train as specialists in orthodontics, which we find to be a very rewarding profession, as it uses our technical skills to improve your natural smile aesthetics. We get a great deal of satisfaction seeing our patients grow in confidence as their treatment progresses. They soon realise that they will no longer have to avoid showing their teeth when smiling, as their bite is being corrected. We also have a team of experienced orthodontic therapists, receptionists and dental nurses who have regular involvement in training and professional development. They are all committed towards providing you with a caring and professional service throughout your treatment with us. We provide you with the option of either National Health Service (NHS), or private orthodontic treatment.

Fantastic orthodontist
I first used Herts Orthodontics back in 2005 when Shamiq fixed my teeth when I was an adult in my twenties. When it became clear my twins would need orthodontic work I didn’t hesitate to contact them. My daughter’s work is complete and she now has a beautiful smile. My son is still mid-treatment but is also looking great. We have also begun treatment options for my younger son and as always we have been very well supported with this. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

So slow
So slow. Every time we come here it’s 20-30 mins delay on the appointment. They don’t apologise or even mention it; it’s that normal for them. Add that up over a 2 year period for a brace and you’ve wasted A LOT of time. So I definitely wouldn’t recommend. Unfortunately, they also seem to have a monopoly in the area as patients are queuing up and you can’t get an appointment for months. Someone please set up a local service that respects patients’ and parents’ time!

We are sorry that you have experienced delays when attending the practice for your recent appointments, and thank you for highlighting this to us.
We acknowledge that nobody likes to be kept waiting and how frustrating this can be.
We do try our best to keep our clinics running on time but unfortunately as you have experienced on some occasions this does not happen. Delays can occur for a number of reasons beyond the clinicians control.
We can appreciate that this might appear to come across as not being respectful of people's time, but please be reassured this is not the case, and we will always aim to keep to appointment times. We clearly have fallen short on these occasions in your case.
We will do our best to ensure you are seen in a timely manner moving forwards, but please bear with us, if we are occasionally running behind schedule.

This is by far the best medical practice I have been to. All the staff are extremely lovely and helpful. It makes a mundane task like going to the orthodontists a nice experience.

Really pleased with the service that we received although we went private as wait times for nhs were too long for us! Friendly, informative staff and felt safe in their knowledge. We wasn’t rushed into treatment it was actually the opposite Shamique advised us to wait six months and be re assessed. Would highly recommend Herts orthodontics as my sons teeth are now amazing compared to the start.

My son Harley’s amazing treatment
My son Harley age 13 has just had treatment here for the last year. Dr Benjamin Marlow has been amazing. He’s very professional patient and amazing at his job. My son Harley as just finished treatment and braces removed. What an amazing job Ben has done. I would recommend to all. Thank you. Harley is so so happy with his beautiful straight teeth

Highly recommend!
I first visited Herts Orthodontics 20 years ago and recently returned. Not only was I remembered but the service remains excellent. Dr Ismail is lovely, patient and friendly. I used to be anxious about dentists but was always reassured here. Highly recommend!!

Excellent service, exceeded my expectations
Apologies this review should have been done in June 2022 but due to work commitments is very late. My son had a horrible accident at school which resulted in an ankylosed front tooth. After visiting Eastmans Dental practice they advised he would need extensive dental work to make his teeth straight and sent a referral to Herts Orthodontist. After a couple of years of brace work he was able to have the smile he wanted in time for his prom. They did an amazing job and we could not be happier, my son is very grateful to everyone at Herts Orthodontist, thank you for all your help.
