Fantastic - Combined Autism and ADHD Assessment
We were seeking a combined Autism and ADHD assessment for our daughter. Help for Psychology were absolutely incredible from start to finish, so professional, kind and made the process as easy as possible for all of us. They also made the experience really comfortable for our daughter, explaining everything step by step, no pressure, allowing breaks during the assessment and letting her choose when she was ready for the next step. We received the outcome and feedback within a few days of the assessment, and the report two weeks later. The report is fantastic, detailed and has lots of helpful recommendations. Our daughter is a high masker too, and they saw through all of that. We would highly recommend Help for Psychology to others and can’t speak highly enough of them! Thank you so much for being so patient and understanding, and for giving us the answers we’ve known in our hearts for years.

Autism Assessment
The clinical psychologist and specialist speech and language therapist who did my daughters assessment were brilliant. They put us all at ease and saw things I was scared they would miss. We received a really detailed and useful diagnostic report and feedback session.

Overall very positive experience.
The whole process took only a year for my son to get an assessment.
Detailed questionnaires left questioning your own experiences and the final meetings were very helpful.
The day of the assessment was very interesting to witness but you saw just how they get the the very bottom of what could or couldn’t be traced back to neurodivergencey.
Overall very positive experience even if the results we were hoping for were not positive.
Would recommend.

Cannot recommend Help4psychology…
Cannot recommend Help4psychology enough. The whole process was extremely thorough. We travelled 5.5hours to get there and it was very much worth that journey. My daughter is a high masker and they really dealt with this well. All therapists and admin staff were so warm and supportive from beginning to end. We had waited 5 years to get on the pathway prior to being referred here. The whole process from referral to diagnosis was 11 months. We are out of area and had a little extra wait for ICB funding to be approved. Very happy I waited for Help4psychology. The report with the diagnosis is very helpful too. Thank you!

Dual diagnosis but a struggle to now get medication
Help4psychology did a dual assessment for my son which after nearly 5 years waiting on the nhs pathway it was a great to finally have those answers. However the reason I’ve given 4 stars & not 5 is now another fight to get medication my son desperately needs & has needed for years. Upon getting our report which took 6 weeks to come to us, the report stated if we require medication to email help4psychology to be added onto the list. I did this & had to email 3 times before I got a response, to then be told ICB had paused funding so appointments were also suspended. I then was told to go to my gp to get referred to the community paediatrician which is what I did. My gp then came back & told me it was down to help4psychology to sort out as it’s a service that is advertised with the provider & which is the reason I chose help4psychology. I was then told that funding has been released slowly with a revised budget from April & told it can take upto a year just to see someone to provide us with medication, by this point it’ll be nearly 6 years where my son has had to suffer & struggle. Every person that works with my son from his school to even his taxi driver all says he needs medication to help him yet it appears it’s another long wait & fight just to get that!
