Amazing week, so much on and such a lovely community. Felt great to be among likeminded families and watch our kids blossom!

The workshops had enough variety that all my brood found things to interest them, the evening entertainment was great and not so loud that I had to worry for their eardrums, and the conference had plenty for adults too. Having indoor space to keep out of the midday sun was useful, but having outdoor space where we could roam (and bike up and down) was also great!

Unlike lots of festivals, the toilets were kept in reasonable condition, and there were washing up facilities for those cooking but also food vendors for when nobody in camp had time or inclination.

All in all an incredibly fun week at a great price. We're going again this year!

My family and I have been attending HEFF for almost four years now and it has become one of the highlights of our year. If you enjoy learning new things, attending different workshops, and meeting lots of people, then you will probably enjoy HEFF as much as we do!

There is always something to do, and we’ve made some really meaningful friendships through the festival over the years.

Like any organisation, there have had a few problems, and 2024 wasn’t the easiest year for HEFF. Due to a new Board of Directors in 2025, there has been a noticeably positive difference. Everything feels so much more organised, and enjoyable again.

I would definitely recommend this festival!

HEFF 2025 was awesome, we met so many fantastic new people, and experienced new things. Our children love it and look forward to becoming more involved in the future.

What an amazing festival! Can't wait to attend again. Fun, entertainment, camping, workshops! All so wholesome for the children.

New management for 2025 - absolutely love that this is run by the community for the community, will be attending again.

'Heff' has been a lovely home educating families festival in the past, but this year under new management it was quite inhospitable and unpleasant. Parents' concerns were ignored and a hostile oppressive environment was created. Problems included violence, drug use and antisocial behaviour being allowed and ignored, sex education being imposed, toilets and showers not feeling safe and women's groups being prohibited. To improve things the organisers need to listen to safeguarding and other concerns from parents and respond appropriately.
