I went to the Hearing Life store in Richmond, BC not impressed at all. My appointment was at 11:00 AM. with Lily. I felt rushed because the appointments were one hour apart for the first time. First she was late taken me in by 10 minutes. So I lost 10 minutes of time there The hearing test was ok. Then we sat down to review everything and she pulls out these $7000.00 hearing aids because my hearing so bad. I do have a moderate hearing problem but I'm not deaf. Every other hearing clinic I went too made me aware of that.

BUYER BEWARE! HEARING LIFE IS NOT FOR YOU.

After reading the reviews from other customers doing business with hearing life in Ocala Florida and Hearing Life as a corporation, my concers and disatisfaction was validated.
I urge anyone considering using Hearing Life will think twice before using this overpriced and very unprofessional company for their Hearing needs.

Payed 4000.00 for my hearing aids I…

Payed 4000.00 for my hearing aids I should have bought them for Amazon. The aids that I have help me hear better but every sound is amplified if I'm talking to someone or just watching TV every background sound is amplified they no better than hearing amplifiers.

Getting supplies from Hearing Life

Every time I go to a Hearing Life store to ask for wax guards and buds that I paid an extra fee for 3 years service they are so stingy! And many of the offices are only open 1 day a week and you are to go within an hours time frame to pick up supplies! Very inconvenient. I would not recommend them at all!

I have been going to hearing life since…

I have been going to hearing life since they were AccuQuest. I have purchased two pair of hearing aids from them. Was satisfied until I call concerning my appointment that I never got a reminder for, I just ran across my appointment card. I called and asked, they no longer accept the insurance I had and because I purchased with that insurance they no longer will do anything with my hearing aids. I had just paid $600.00 for 3 years of service and now they won’t stand up to there agreement. How wrong is this? Take my money and drop me, without even letting me know, when I need my hearing aid fixed. I will never recommend these people again.

I have received exceptional service at…Okotoks, AB

I have received exceptional service at the Hearing Life Okotoks location by Nikke de Peuter. Nikki has been extremely patient and helpful to a guy who is not very technical. She has explained things in a way that I understand and has made herself available should I require any help. My hearing aid experience has been a very positive one especially now that I can hear the world around me!

Be very cautious

Be very cautious with the way they handle your insurance and what you will be responsible for after insurance. They make you sign a patient responsibility agreement knowing that your insurance company will discount the amount but you will be responsible for the full amount. If you read it is all there however they make it appear you are signing to have your insurance filed.

Hearing life is a nest of crooks.walked out with patient liability paper with no amount now all of a sudden I owe almost 5000 after my insurance payment,they are a bunch of sneaky crooks who get your signature then after you leave they fill in what they want then try to say you agreed to it before you left the office

They don’t stop calling.

I do not wear hearing aids. I get called continuously from this company. I tell them to add me to their do not call list and then the calls stop - for a couple of weeks. Then they start calling multiple times per day again. When I block their number they call from another one. It’s so annoying.

Zero Rating.

Zero Rating.
So, I make my usual appointment for my hearing test. The location I usually go to is now closed and I make an appointment at the nearest location, which is 118 ave and 80 st.
We perform the test and order the latest and greatest hearing aids. Appointment is made.
I call to reschedule the appointment as my wife has a procedure to attend to and I try to call hearing life.
I get an answering machine, I leave a message for them to call. I call 2 more times as I hear nothing back, and there is nothing to satate that the location is closed.
I get a message the next day to reschedule but do not hear it. I get another message several days later to reschedule.
I finally call back a couple of days later only to recieve the dreaded message again that they are busy or on another line.
I’ve been to the store and let me tell you this, they are not busy and had yet to see the receptionist answer a phone call other than 1 time.
I get nothing.
So I call another store and they answer almost immediately. I schedule an appointment with them as I’ve been there before.
Hearing life should shut down the 118 ave branch as they are ineffective and terribly unreliable. Paying people who do not do their jobs. Waste of money and time.
Poor service.

Zero Star Rating!!

I would give them a zero star if possible. Terrible service!!

My 88 year old father bought bearing aids from hearing life. He took them in to be repaired. The button on one of the hearing aids that controls the volume wasn’t working. In the process of fixing it the button fell off and was lost. They couldn’t find it. They then told my father he would need to buy new hearing aids at HIS cost because they’re unable to get a replacement part. They did not offer to replace them or give him any kind of discount even though it was THEIR fault for losing the part!!

My father’s only income is his government pension. Do they really feel this is HIS responsibility??!!

My father then sent an email to info@hearinglife and was told the same thing. That HE needs to buy new hearing aids!!

After they read one of my previous reviews they contacted my father and said they would be in touch with him “soon”. This was over a week ago and he’s heard nothing!!!

They took absolutely no responsibility and have made no effort to contact him to provide any resolution!!

I highly recommend you STAY AWAY from hearing life!!!

Complaint

My appointment was July 9, 2024. In Sandusky MI.

I called my insurance companys. I have two, primary BCBS and Secondary, United Health. They said they'd pay for hearing aids. BCBS... 1,500 and United Health...1,000.

They told me to go to this Compay. I made an appointment.

First RedFlag was receptionist refused to take my United Health insurance information. She took the BCBS information and said she "didn't need the other info."

I got tested by an elderly man named John Kasinski. Mind you, I had prior approval that both my insurances would pay.

He opens his computer, shows me a drop down menu of my blue cross coverage and tells me that "HearingLife is not in their Network." Then He pulls a drop down menu of my United Health that says, "They will only pay if BCBS pays first."

He then proceeds to give me my payment and financing options for the full amount.

I told him that I talked to BCBS and they said "yes, they'd pay." He looked preplexed, but said he'd "look into it and call me in two days." He assured me that he KNEW they don't pay.

In two days I called BCBS, and again, they said, "HearingLife was in network and they'd pay 1500 dollars towards hearing aids."

As soon as I hung up with BCBS, John called and I let him tell me in great detail how he had "checked it all out and they will not pay." He then proceeded to tell me my payment and financing options, and how "not using my insurance would actually be cheaper for me, as HearLife offered free maintenance costs to those who don't use insurance."

When he was done, I realized what was going on. I said, "John, you just dropped the ball!" "I just got off the phone with my BCBS and you ARE in Network, and they WILL pay. He got quiet and said he'd "check again and call me back."

He called back and low and behold he had gotten the correct info this time. He then started to tell me my payment options again. I asked about having United Health being included as BCBS was "paying first." "We are using both insurances, right? I asked.

He was quiet for about 3 seconds and answered "No."

I said, "Why, every dr or clinic I go to always does, it's called primary and secondary insurance for that reason.

He still said "No."
I answered, "Then I'll go somewhere that will."

There's something not above board here, a 🐍nake in the grass!
