We wanted to extend and enhance our kitchen without ripping out the bits we liked Matthew and team matched it perfectly, custom making everything to perfection inc island, pantry, dining table, and a beautiful cooker mantle. Superb craftwork and attention to detail. Also prompt, tidy and clean.

Matthew and his team have recently installed 8 doors at my property and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, the service that has been offered has been nothing short of exceptional. Matt and his team at Hawkins Carpentry have recently just built me a custom made Garden clinic for my sports therapy work and I could not recommend them more highly. The quote came through very promptly and I got booked into to their diary as soon as possible. From start to finish the build ran so smoothly and Matt made sure to keep me updated daily on deliveries of materials and machinery, next stages of installation and progress. The whole team were so friendly and professional and I am absolutely delighted with high quality finished build. Matt and his team bought my vision to life and the clinic is beyond incredible. I would definitely recommend them and will certainly be using them again in future for any carpentry work we need doing.

Matt built for me a home gym and fitted wardrobes for a bedroom. Not only was the work completed to an excellent standard but he finished ahead of estimated time. Matt is a great guy; accommodating and nice to deal with.

Had a small problem with my floor which Matthew and his colleague rectified quickly and efficiently -very happy now 👍

Matthew created some fabulous alcove cupboards in 2 rooms, and storage in our hallway for coats, shoes etc. I left Matthew to the design and made no changes. Everything is super practical and looks great. He has a good eye for detail and is very creative. We are so happy. He is also a very nice chap!

I wanted a cupboard under the stairs. I have a wonderful bespoke cupboard suited for all my needs.Matthew was polite, neat and tidy, keeping me informed each step along the way.

Matt fitted our bedroom side tables, cupboard and sliding wardrobe! We are so pleased with his work he has done a fantastic job! These were all hand built and painted by him . He’s a lovely bloke who talks everything through and keeps you up to date with the progress. Would highly recommend! His next job will be our kitchen!

We have just completed a bedroom extension, and wanted a bespoke wardrobe built. After being let down at short notice, we luckily came across Matt who was able to fit the work in between other jobs.

He was very professional, the quality of his workmanship was excellent, and he is one of the tidiest and politest tradesmen I've ever met.

The job itself was not easy, as going across the room, and the middle of the wardrobe is an RSJ, which meant that the sliding door height was non-standard, but the solution he engineered meant no space was wasted and it looks great.

Recently moved house and Matt has built me an office in the garden. He did a superb job, exactly to my specifications, down to the last detail, and has made a really great space for me to work in. He's reliable, trustworthy and met the agreed deadline for completion. His workmanship and that of his subcontractors is faultless.

Matthew has worked on three jobs for us now. Some big some small. All have been done with attention to detail and expert workmanship.

Matt has worked in almost every room of our house since we purchased it, from building bespoke cupboards and shelving, to understairs storage, desking, hanging doors (in a wonky old house!) and most recently has project managed a bathroom refurbishment. His attention to detail is exceptional, and he has a very high standard of workmanship. His pricing is always fair and he is great to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Matt has undertaken a few projects for us. He's polite, hardworking with good attention to detail. Just completing an update of a horrible 1970's staircase with lovely under-stair storage.

Matt fitted 8 doors along with new handrails, spindles and base rails to our stairs and we are very pleased with the work. All nicely fitted and very tidy after the work was completed. Will use him again with work planned next year.
