Quiet frankly this was a waste of money. After using the sharpener my blades were considerably less sharp than they had been. I regret not checking trust pilot before purchasing it.
It shows the power of incessant marketing

If there was a zero...that is what I would give to Hatori for the rolling knife sharpener. It actually dulls the blade.
They do not return emails and the phone number has two extra numbers on their contact us numbers. So nothing flows through. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN PRODUCED IN JAPAN!!!

System and delivery is fine
I am just a little confused, the name is Japanese, but the material is Chinese.

The website looks very professional - advertised on IG and more… but don’t let that fool you too…. like me and obviously many others!

First - it took more than one month to be delivered.

Second - a package was kind of typical Chinese plastic, which smells very bad.

Third - no papers in the package, all three things looked and felt cheap. A knife is complete “misunderstanding”: a blade, which should be a kind of Japanese craftsmanship, is only a piece of junk with a pattern almost printed on it…

And everything is much too expensive for the quality.

I ordered titanium pan and I am already afraid of that what will be in the package.

My order has been in transit for more than 50 days at this point and I placed the order in early November for a christmas gift. This has been "stuck" or at least hasn't moved in over 30 days and their customer service team has not responded to any of my numerous emails asking for more information. I will be telling anyone and everyone to use any other brand.

Just like all the other reviews . . . don’t waste your time or money on these weasels! I don’t understand why they are allowed to be on the internet like IG and Google! Someone isn’t doing their job properly! Take this f’in sight down! How many reviews do you need to see before you understand this mock company is scamming people! Google and Instagram are the real problem here!

Placed order on 11/10/2025. Kept getting delivery notifications, but never delivered. Kept checking tracking information, but no movement. Submitted online inquiry through Hatori site, but Order # not recognized. Web links appear to be Chinese origin. Submitted a dispute with CitiBank on 11/10/2025 and promptly received full credit. Unexpectedly received refund notification from Hatori, but I still don't believe they're legitimate.

Grosse arnaque tu reçois jamais ton colis ils disent sois disant qu'il arrive, il n'arrive jamais. Perte de temps et d'argent.

Verdient geen enkele ster want ik heb mij order nooit ontvangen, dus ben ik mijn geld kwijt.

I ordered a knive and knife sharpener 29 October 2025. I ried to track the paackage and recieved a notice that the package had been returned to Hatori. I tried several times to contact the company by email and phone. The result was no response. after the last email I had a response from their parcelpanel.com stating that the parcel was in transit. It is now December 21 2025 and still no sign of delivery. I also paid an insurance amount for if the knive and sharpener did not arrive. I suggest people steer clear of this company. They do not honour their commitments. I am in the process of trying for a refund. If that happens I will advise Trustpilot. I will continue to attempt contact wsith Hatori in the hope that a refund happens

Ik las in reviews dat dit in een merkloze doos zat.
Die van mij kwam in een stevig kartonnen doos met merknaam op.
De roller zelf werkt vlot en slijpt wel degelijk. Magneten zijn zeker sterk genoeg.

I want to add to all the other bad reviews. I placed an order which I now cannot trace on their site although payment was taken immediately on my credit card. I have sent several email enquiries and had no reply. I have now cancelled the payment.

Ordered a pan from them claiming to be Japanese steel. Two pans received - only ordered one. The item was sold as a Japanese steel Hattori pan, but the product I received is a Chinese-made pan sold on Temu for £24. This is false advertising and misrepresentation under UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
Claims to provide free lid and spatula - none included
Not responding to emails and messages via their website to progress refund.

The oder never arrived. No response to emails. Thier phone is not in use. No chance of contacting them. It's just theft

I ordered the seven piece knife set but obviously (despite all the correct dispatch emails) it wasn’t delivered. All emails were unacknowledged. I suspect this is a fraudulent company.
Thankfully my bank immediately refunded me when I raised the issue online.

I was surprised by how well this sharpener works. It’s really simple to use, even if you’ve never sharpened knives before. My kitchen knives went from dull to razor-sharp in minutes. The design feels sturdy and the grip is comfortable. Great value for the money!

You need the option to select zero stars for the worst companies. This is one such business. All made and shipped from China. Not Japanese at all. Useless pans. Long delivery times. No customer service, no returns possible. I’ll claim from my credit card company and ask them to go after them as I can’t. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM EVER!

After writing my previous damning review I have now received my knife sharpener - a total surprise as, despite numerous emails from me after the money had been paid, there had been no communication until one email last week quoting an order number. When I entered this into Hitori’s tracker it said no such order existed, worrying me even more. However, now having received the order, I have to say that it looks quite good; solid and efficient. I still feel strongly that Hitori need to work on their communication skills.

Like some others I didn't look here first. 2 'titanium' chopping boards ordered - 2 eventually arrived in plain packaging. No sign of what they are actually made of or where they were made. The larger board had a small dent in it & like others I sent a photo then have been ghosted. Now the same board has a brown tarnish on it which wasn't easy to remove. Titanium doesn't rust so either it's not titanium or it's not rust. Half a dozen emails and nada! A rip off plain and simple!
