Are games being played?

I would have rated the company 0 but it was not available so I rated it 1.
I ordered a pair of Prada shoes for 20% off on-line and, before they were sent out, my order was cancelled by Harry Rosen. Without any other notice, I received an email cancelling the order. It stated on the credit receipt that I had returned the shoes and requested a refund. How can I return shoes I never received? Also it stated that the shoes had been returned 400 kilometers away from where I live. When I called the store that gave the refund, I was given several differing stories of why the refund was processed. I don't appreciate games being played.
When dealing with large retailers you should be fully aware of their advertising schemes.

Outstanding First-Rate Online Customer Service

On Thursday-September 18, 2025, I completed an online purchase for two sweaters.
I received the two sweaters the next day on Friday-September 19, 2025 that was shipped from Calgary, Alberta to Toronto, Ontario.
Wow! This is an example of a high-end luxury retail clothing company that delivers outstanding first-rate customer service.

Went to Montreal store and had fantastic service from Marcello and manager. It is just as I remember HR. The alternations were quick and efficient as I was only in town for three days.

Declining service every year

FedEx left my Harry Rosen package directly under an open section of my entryway—despite a large 10' x 13' sun sail just steps away providing full coverage. No knock, no doorbell, just dumped in the rain.

Harry Rosen’s response? It’s my duty to monitor emails for tracking updates. Really? Is it too much to expect a premium retailer (and their courier) to use basic judgment?

Apparently, Club Harry status doesn’t come with care or common sense—just the joy of drying out your new pants before wearing them. Disappointing experience from a brand that should know better.

Avoid MooRER


Avoid MooRER – Overpriced, Poor Quality, and Even Worse Customer Service

After spending a premium on MooRER coats, I expected durability, craftsmanship, and reliable customer support. Unfortunately, I experienced the complete opposite.

My men’s coat developed pilling, the fur began to split, and the fabric became unnaturally shiny—all after just one season.

My wife’s coat zipper broke with minimal wear. MooRER offered a replacement zipper (not even the full repair) and then sent the wrong one.

When we contacted customer service, they refused to accept responsibility, instead blaming us—and even our highly rated dry cleaner. They claimed they had never had zipper issues before. Ironically, when I mentioned my dissatisfaction at the high-end Montreal store where I bought the coat (without mentioning the zipper), they responded:
"Yeah, we’ve had tons of complaints about MooRER’s zippers."

That sealed it: MooRER is all branding, no substance. They charge luxury prices but deliver substandard quality with dismissive and unprofessional support.

My advice: avoid MooRER. Spend your money on brands that actually stand behind their products. You'll get better quality, longer-lasting value, and a customer service team that respects your investmet

Never again to that store!…

I went for alteration of a pair of pants they made for me two years ago. That was about 20 days ago. I was given 3 dares, and I had to go two times, and every time they are not ready! Today was the last, and still there were excuses! They have the worst service, and worst tailoring place! A small alterations place in a strip plaza would be more respectful and better service of their clients than these people!

Truly has gone from bad to worse at HR. Their idea of a sale is an already significantly overpriced $300 dress shirt (made in Bangladesh or Vietnam etc) reduced by 40%- $180.00 for dress shirts that are made in the third world does not represent quality or value, sorry to break that to you. Sales staff are not overly friendly and the prices are in La La Land- even when on sale. You are better off finding a local tailor for the prices they expect and mediocre service. Brick and mortar retail is going the way of the Do Do and HR may be the next exhibit after Hudson's Bay.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. My wife bought me an expensive pair of boxers over Christmas. The salesman said "of course they can be returned" and even offered to "extend the return date". When I popped by the Vancouver store today to return (since the fit was too small in hips - over underwear of course) the first woman at the return desk just dismissively said "those are final sale" without even looking at the receipt. I was surprised but left until I could confirm with my wife what she was told. When I came back 20 mins later a manager came and showed me the "Canadian law" on google that intimates cannot be returned. I responded "ok, makes sense but that then means your salespeople are misleading customers." All I received was a couple smug half smiles and a "sorry". After shopping there for decades... will no longer buy anything from Harry Rosen. Too overpriced for that kind of service.

Online purchase, I tried using multiple gift cards for…

I tried using multiple gift cards for an online purchase. I had to call 4 times to get the transaction to work. The whole point of using an online store is to get things ordered without chatting with someone. My time is not worth a good will discount as they should have offered to have compensated me somehow. Anyways took me an hour more to get something I wanted and 4 trys later. I also had to use my visa and then call back and verbally give them the gift cards so I could apply them and get my money back on my visa. I reached out to say I expected some discount but the nice lady on the phone tried and they denied it. All good they won't be seeing me shop on line anymore. I gave them the benefit to call me and or email as I made a written complaint but haven't heard back

YVR outlets store,there is HK guy,so…

YVR outlets store,there is HK guy,so rude and mean.
I ask a blue ON running shoes,he said there is no stock.and when check out,he did not give me shoes boxes,not even ask .Whole process not greeting,no communication.not good feeling shoping with that guy.And next day another sales tell there is blue one at back with shoes box.

Steer clear of personal products / hair styling stuff

HR is such a great store in person, online is usually solid too, but I would steer clear from any personal products (hair styling, shampoo). The items appear to be pulled from the shelves, which isn't an issue in itself, but whomever did the packaging didn't bother to check that the seals were broken and someone helped themselves to a big heaping of hair wax apparently. So gross.

Of course they offered a return and all that, but what are they going to do with it? Seems pointless, it should be in the trash but now I'm off to Canada post to ship this stuff back. Time's the one thing I can't get back.

Edit: they've addressed it as best as they could for now. Hopefully they'll verify the products are sealed before shipping them out.

We Started Late, But Made It in Time!

Well, we started late and needed help. Harry was willing to make as many revisions as we asked for, no push-back at all. He stayed on our project and helped us meet our critical deadline, submittal for convention Booth graphics. Thanks very much Harry, great job!

Extremely poor customer service. If you buy online please read my experience

Harry Rosen is one of the more expensive retailers for men's clothing. Aside from their extensive, high end, products, one of the main reasons you would shop here would be for their outstanding customer service, or at least you would think that would be the case.

I purchased a sports jacket from their online store on
Saturday, February 24th 2024. It arrived on Thursday, February 28th. It was packaged nicely and the garment was exactly as described.

So what is the problem? On February 28th, Harry Rosen announced a "Leap Year" Special that reduced the price by 25% from February 29th-March 4th.

I reached out to Customer Service who said they would not adjust the price on a prior sale. I said then I would just return it and repurchase it, they told me that it was the last one in that size and by the time it returned the sale would be over.

Really, Harry Rosen? That is how you treat your customers? I purchased many garments from you and your outlets over the years, including two suits, several sports coats, pants, shirts, and ties in the past few months alone. I will need to reassess my loyalty to you.

Again, your products are great and you certainly charge enough for them. Price matching your own sale is not a unrealistic expectation. Almost every retailer would have gladly done an adjustment.

Grand attitude from Rabieh! Thank You

Rabieh thank You!! You are a genuine character that takes your task seriously. My biz partner picked a sneaker that there was no size for in your store. The gentleman that dealt with us was barely excited to be there, and we headed out. As i was determined to find that shoe along with my annoyance with the nonchalant gentleman's attitude took me to a lady named Rabieh. Ive barely said few words and this young woman sprung into action to DOUBLE check and go out of her way to find the shoe size, if on the other planet even. She comes back and says "there is no size of it across our canadian stores..but leave this with me and let me see what i can do"
In 30 minutes Rabieh calls back and sends us to a completely different store where she arranged a meeting with us and a clerk there, where they had ONE PAIR LEFT but somewhere else in the country! Needles to say we ordered it...
The point of this write up, is to connotate this young lady's attitude towards life. Nowadays most are sleepwalking, disinterested, unconscious, careless, unauthentic, lazy, bothered, unwilling....
Your company needs to take this young lady for upper management consideration and give her training and support to continue reaching and surpassing her personal and business potential. If you dont do so, you will loose her...maybe to me even. Thank You Rabieh.
