After 3 German Schools, 3-4 apps, German finally starts to click. It's fun and addictive too.

A fun way to learn German up to B2! Anja teaches using a chunking method and with a fun story, chocked with humor, which is a nice change of pace from other courses that can be a little rigid or dry. It is super helpful that the courses go to B2! Austria allows a faster citizenship process if you have B2 but may also require this level later in 2026.

The academy is just perfect. The videos, the chunks, the material to download, the workshops and the community. Thank you very much Anja & Happy German Academy.

Very good website for Learning German language with funny videos for improvement listening skills. Under each videos is full text from dialog. Lots of grammar and writhing exercises.

The lessons are fun, but great teaching in the mix. So strong grammar foundations. With the light and amusing conversations go good grammar lessons and so much more to this program.
Amazing feedback when I have a query and great writing exercises as well.

The Happy German Academy have inspired me to reset my aims to further my German knowledge and improve my speech. There is no pressure on students and they can study/revise at leisure. Today I have completed day four of the ten day speech challenge. The way that Anya presents the videos is fantastic using an exaggerated mouth and tongue position to gargling with water. There is a vast amount of information on the web app that caters from beginners to the more advanced students. Yes, there is a modest monthly cost that I consider value for money. I will certainly be more confident the next opportunity I get to speak German. I sincerely recommend this course.

Learning German with Anja is different experience as she has made so many efforts to make us learn german. She is the true teacher who makes real time efforts for making this difficult language accessible to students like us with very logical and easy explanations. The video skit (lecture) series to learn chunks and learn deustch is unique technique. I am very much thankful for the team for genuine efforts and love. Danke schon.Team Anja.

The presentations by Anja's team are delightful, humorous and clearly explain the proper pronunciation of the German words, the spelling and the translation... as well as how the terms may be used in real life German.

One of the the best German courses out there! Anja is Great at explaining things very simple for beginners and her humour is very fun. It’s definitely not a boring course. I spend an hour or two and I forget because I’m enjoying joining us so much. I would highly recommend to give this course a try.

Very well structured materials with videos capturing daily life conversations in evolving fun stories, lots of grammatical instructions in both written and additional YouTube videos, combined with chunk learning via Brainscape making learning both effective and fun. I also like that questions and test results are thoroughly answered and graded by staff, and you can see all previous questions/answers in the unit as well. I feel much more confident speaking German after just completing 3 units in A1. The program is self paced (not feeling Duolingo type of pressure), I bought A1 to B2, really looking forward to completing them, as it is such fun! On the other hand, I think this program is best suited for people who already have some knowledge on German.

Anja is the best Deutsche teacher you could wish for! I’ve got learning Deutsche endless books and attended A.1 classes that relied heavily on tests every 3 weeks… I like learning at Anjas pace

The most difficult part of learning the German language has been proper pronunciation. In the Happy German Academy's classes, I have learned how to enunciate like a native German speaker. So thankful for the lessons!

Your videos are a 1000 times better than the old tape cassettes of 30 years ago. Entertaining and you can easily repeat a short section over and over again.

Anja's German classes are amazing! They're fun, engaging, and - most importantly - informative. She switches effortlessly between German and English during her classes, making it much easier for us native English speakers to comprehend and retain the information.

I am a beginning German language learner. I have found pronunciation extremely difficult. I was looking for a way to augment my learning. Anja's program is wonderful. She is extremely enthusiastic and presents her material clearly. She mixes English with German in her lessons which I find very helpful. She breaks down the letters and sounds in an easy to understand way. I have learned a lot from her videos.

Good and well structured course, very entertaining and has a lot of material. More difficult and challenging than expected, but in a good way.

I signed up for the A1 course, and I am left extremely underwhelmed. I am not convinced by it. They made a series of videos in which people are talking German, and each section has a page where Anja asks you to write German in the comments. And a text copy of the video contents, with some explanations. There is nothing that I can see to enforce repetition or assist in long-term memory of a new language. To my mind, Anja and her team created a site which charges hundreds of euros for people to watch some videos in which the actors are speaking German (with English and German subtitles available), with a wall of text underneath each video which show the English translation of the lines from each actor, and a comments section. The way you navigate between dialogues on each unit is also cumbersome. Look, you can learn much more on other sites and apps, without having to pay a cent. Sorry.
