If you want no warm water for 150eur…

If you want no warm water for 150eur per night and worst service, pick this one! I travel a lot, every month, but this kind of experience was my first. Save your nerves and time if you dont want to explain 20 times for 4 hours....and solving that from their part means after 20 calls from me and saying that they cant send someone because they dont have any repairman to send....and also they said that they have bad service....so repairman came 10.30am last day and we had to check out at 11...so no shower still and they didnt let us shower and leave a little later as well...they finally suggested we go to some other place to shower but then we had no more time because we had booked train tickets....to say they solved it, is really funny considering the process and that at 10am they were still saying there is nothing they can do.

I would strongly not suggest you book with this hotel. The staff and management do not take any consideration into account. Called them so many times and also contacted them through booking.com but the manager refused to change dates of arrival or listen to use.

A horrible and a shady company ever!

I wished I have seen other bad reviews about this property sooner. It was too late!

I stayed in a small apartment in Barcelona for a month for traveling and after I checked out, they simply sent a screenshot and said my electricity bill is 800 euro. Which deducted from my deposit after other coverage. It is completely ridiculous! How is that even possible a month electricity bill in Spain is up to 800 euro? I called them and asked for a bill statement and they don’t even have it now. And I have to wait for another month. How shady of this company.

Before that even had some other issues, long story short, they tricked me and misled me. So I end of paying more extra rent. Every of their representatives saying things differently and lied about it. Even I had all the screenshot of our conversation but they just denied it. Speechless.

Who ever read this, don’t book their apartment! I have never experienced something like this, I’m really shock and angry and can’t believe such kind of service still be exist? How they can just take your money without any proof. It is insane.

Regarding the deposit, i have specially asked you if i need to pay at the beginning, and your representative replied to me that I don't have to pay anything and or any other extra cost. I have all the screenshot of the whole conversation, but you ignored. Same as the extra day fee which you specially told me i don't have to pay when we checked in. And said that you made an exception but at the end you changed your mind. For this one i don't even want to argue with you again which i paid eventually.

All of sudden you requested and threatening me I have to pay 2000 Euro deposit otherwise you will take law action. I think anyone would have question and feel the whole situation is strange and shady. Especially it's not a small amount!
When i questioned it, you didn't explain to me at all why I have to pay. As a foreigner, I wouldn't know any Spanish law. To threaten the customer without any explanation which is a terrible move.

Again, I live in Switzerland and I have the heating all day and I'm home most of the time. My electricity bill is 200 Euro for 3 months. Now you're telling me one month electricity in Barcelona is 800 Euro?

Dear Anita, our apologies for not feeling well with this situation. Below we will explain again the operation of the deposit.
Consumption calculations are made according to input and output readings and that if a customer leaves AC and/or heating on definitely the consumption is high, which today, you have to be aware of how expensive electricity is. That the billing period of the electric companies is like this, and that as explained to you as soon as the invoice arrives you will be sent, whereupon, if there is any difference in your favour, it will be credited to your bank account.
We never made any additional charges, only those that correspond to your reservation!!

Also remember that it was you who paid the deposit in case of damage and we had to resort to the reservation channel to intercede and finally fulfil your obligation (by Spanish law and contract) and you finally paid for it because otherwise you would have left without paying for the supplies you’ve consumed.

Habitat Apartments is abusing your images and rights

Do you want to allow this company to abuse your images and post your ads to 20+ sites from where they are unable to remove advertisements in the future? This is what happened to us, and upon requesting deletion they said they were unable to do it. The reason was the following:

"These listings correspond to very old records that apparently we had lost the record."

They would not even act on this after specifically highlighting websites where their advertisement was still active (not to mention looking into additional ones).

If you are happy with images of your place ending up on the internet forever, think twice before contacting them! But if you're happy with it staying on Google maps and a lot of other sites, then this is your agency...

Scammed out of deposit

It has been over 4 months since I left my apartment with Habitat, and still have not received any of my deposit, despite ringing and emailing constantly.

If I manage to get through to their office, each time the staff say they don't know why it hasn't been paid, so they'll get back to me on it. No one ever has, and now I am being ignored.

AVOID this company if you don't want to be scammed out of your deposit.

Very pleasant stay.

The apartment is very symbolic of where we were. Very pleasant and authentic environment in which we enjoyed a nice holiday. The service and staff sometimes didn't pick up the phone, but when we called them a second time, they picked up the phone and were very helpful.

The apartment was very well located and since it was located near the subway, we could walk wherever we wanted without any problems.

The only surprise we did not expect was the payment of Damage Deposit, in the amount of € 300, which was returned within a week of leaving the apartment. Personally, I am very happy with the apartment and I recommend other people to come here as well.

Terrible customer service and issue with security deposit

We stayed in one of their apartments in Barcelona for a whole month. The apartment was great, the WiFi went out a couple times, but it was always fixed within a day or two. The support team was very responsive.
We booked via VRBO, and it said the security deposit would be EUR 300. When we checked in, we were asked for a deposit of EUR 770, which was weird. We were told we would get it back within a few days after checkout.

Two weeks after checkout I finally asked about the deposit and when we would get it back. No one replied. I sent a few more emails once in a while, still no reply. I tried Skype, and then received a reply that my request had been passed on to administration, whatever that means. When I asked any more questions, there was complete silence. Sent another email, still nothing.

Luckily I had booked the apartment via VRBO, so I contacted their support, and they were very helpful. VRBO contacted Habitat Apartments several times until they got a confirmation I would get my deposit back within two more weeks.
It's been 40 days since I checked out and I finally got the deposit back.

The Habitat Apartments administration and customer service is just terrible. I had never been so stressed out about any accommodation, anywhere in the world. I would never book with them again.

Very disappointed by this company

Very disappointed by this company. The stay went well, as well as the welcoming from the staff and of course, before getting my deposit back I wrote a very good review for them. During the booking phase, there were several mistakes on the contract that I had to highlight to them but I thought it was probably an honest mistake. They told me the deposit will be returned 20 days after the check-out, it finally took a month and half and a big part of the money was missing. They removed all the consumption from power supply, gas and water without taking into account the limit amount included in the contract. It's been more than a week they told me they will review my case and I'm still waiting. Unexpectable. Not recommended. Nice place but plenty of issues after leaving. I also wanted to highlight that the person who did the check-out said that we left the apartment in incredible conditions, as if we didn't even live in it. This is what we get for taking care of the apartment. I think those "admin mistakes" are intentional from that company.

DEPOSIT STOLEN

I usually never write reviews but today I have to. I lived in habitat with 3 friends for a few months. We left a considerable amount for deposit. It's been two months, they never paid us back and they do not even reply to our mail. In other words, it is like they are stealing our money!!!

Bad customer service!

We stayed at one of the Hot Jazz apartment in Barcelona.
The apartment itself was good but I really have to let people know that the customer service of the company is horrible.
We had a trouble on the day of departure due to them giving the wrong information which cost me money and precious time of my holiday. Once back I complained and I received a "sorry but bad luck" kind of answer.
Wrote the official review that they sent me to fill in and...surprise! it does not appear on their website.
With a sincere apology and a small refund they would have had a happy returning customer and no negative review.
Disappointment!

Our art 3 appartment in Barcelona are we never going back to. The pictures taken were not as the appartment is at all. The rooms were clean but need refreshment at to paint and new furnitures.
When we opened the windows from toilet and two rooms, we looked in a wall. Air condition only in one room !
An appartment which was much to expensive !!
One positive thing is the location - perfect next to The Rambla.
But - dont rent this appartment.

Stolen Deposit

I have tried for over a month to get my deposit back...and have had to resort to raising a dispute with my bank...this company has caused me to be in over £200 in debts due to missed payments....unacceptable! At every step Habitat attempted to blame my bank...claiming they never took the money...when I gave them a transaction code to prove that they had....they still continued to blame my bank!? They eventually agreed to issue a "reverse payment" 18 DAYS AGO..shock horror still not here. AVOID.

It's a scam organisation

It's a scam organisation. They took a deposit from us in the amount of an entire stay, promised to give it back to us as we checked out. It has been months and no one answers our e-mails, no one sent our money back. Habitat Apartments stole our money.

As you paid the deposit in cash and we couldn´t return it on the check-out day, we needed to make a bank transfer and without your bank details, we couldn´t make it. We admit that your case was not handled efficiently and the communication was not satisfactory with you and within our team, which made this process longer as it should have been.
However we did answer your e-mails and we refunded the deposit, for this reason, we ask you to refrain from false allegations.

Best you can find

We will definitely be back, the apartment was the best you can find considering location and quality. I love the street it's located on "Rambla de Catalunya" because it has a lot of trees and nice shops. You can walk in a moment to Plaça de Catalunya, Paseo de gracia and the Ramblas. We were also lucky because the weather was great so it was the perfect stay

Fantastic stay!

I booked the Barceloneta Apartment for holidays in May. This apartment is the ideal location, few minutes walking to beach, metro, the born area ,and marina. The representative was very pleasant. The living area was fine for the 3 of us. Kitchen is modern, it lacked a sink plug, but it didn't bother us too much as we ate out. Very impressed by how spotlessly clean apt was.

This company is very professional. If I can I will go back and book again at Habitat Apartments. I had a very good stay!

Fantastic break in Barcelona in Bruc Terrace Apartment

Very spacious, central but quiet apartment. Easy walking to most attractions and a convenient taxi rank outside for transport to airport (30 Euros), Parc Guell, Montjuic and beaches at el Poblenou (all under 10 Euros). Supermarket 2 minutes walk around the block. I would highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again.
