I honestly can’t recommend Gwenyn Gruffydd highly enough.
My beekeeping journey started by watching Gruff’s YouTube videos, and before long I booked one of his beekeeping experience days. It was an incredible day, and you quickly realise just how much knowledge and practical experience Gruff has.
Since then, I’ve learnt so much from him. I started with just two nucs that I bought from Gwenyn Gruffydd, and thanks to the advice and guidance I’ve received, I’ve now grown to 15 thriving hives.
Almost all of my beekeeping equipment has come from Gwenyn Gruffydd, and every item has been excellent quality. One thing I really appreciate is that they don’t fill their shelves with cheap, lower-quality “beginner or entry” equipment. They simply stock reliable, well-made products at fair prices, which gives you confidence that you’re buying equipment that will last.
Most recently I bought one of their wax melters, and it’s been a game changer. Gone are the days of standing over a saucepan on a portable induction hob, repeatedly melting and filtering wax to try and get a clean result. The wax melter makes the whole process so much easier, quicker, and produces fantastic results.
What really sets Gwenyn Gruffydd apart, though, is the people. Every member of the team is genuinely friendly, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable. Whenever I call in, they’re always happy to help, answer questions, or offer advice, even when they’re obviously rushed off their feet. You never feel like you’re inconveniencing them—they always make the time, and that level of customer service is becoming increasingly rare.
Whether you’re completely new to beekeeping or have years of experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gwenyn Gruffydd. Their knowledge, outstanding customer service, and commitment to supplying high-quality equipment have played a huge part in helping me become a better beekeeper. Thank you to Gruff and the whole team for everything you’ve done to support my beekeeping journey.
P.S. We definitely need a couple of videos of Angharad making candles! After seeing the quality of the wax melter, I’d love to see some candle-making tips and tricks from the expert herself. I think plenty of us would enjoy watching those!
