TL;DR
Scammers, don’t bother, even when the price is right. You’ll pay in wasted time or ridiculous fees.
Good:
The car itself, Skoda Scala, quite fresh, only about 28000km on the odometer, AC working with no issues, well kept, generally felt like new. Couldn’t connect CarPlay, but it was probably a me problem.
Vehicle was clean, had better and way worse.
Bad:
What I never had worse on the other hand is the customer service. Never before had I had to wait more than TWO HOURS to get a car that was booked a month before with my flight arrival time given to the rental company. There were approximately 8 people before me in the queue and it took almost two hours to get to the booth and 30 more minutes to get keys, because they had NONE cars ready. I’ve seen people before me wait almost an hour for theirs. The cherry on top was that I had to pay for the airport parking, because they drove the car in there. Of course nobody said a word about that. I have to say though, that the amount was only €1,5.
If you want to contact the company via WhatsApp trying ANY of their mobile numbers, including the one posted everywhere, also in the agreement where given as „Customer Support / Road Assistance”, don’t even bother. Maybe only if you have a local SIM card. Tried to contact them on two separate occasions, once to ask about driving to Croatia, and second in an event of getting two flat tires one hour drive from the hotel I’ve stayed at. In total I’ve tried calling all their numbers around 50 times in span of few hours. However they picked up from the guy from my hotel the second time he called almost at their closing time, as he politely helped me.
Circling back to the Croatia trip, it turned out, that I can just go to their branch at Tivat airport to get the permit to cross the border. Or at least theoretically, as the car didn’t have up to date documentation that would allow me to leave the country. A fact of which I wasn’t informed picking up the car in Podgorica airport. In fact I asked the guy at the window if going to another country would be possible at all, which he informed me that I just have to pay €89 extra for the permit.
Boiling point for me however was the flat tire situation. After numerous attempts to contact Green Motion I put on a spare in place of the wheel with zero air and cautiously drove to the nearest air compressor station to fill the other one still holding up. On my way back to hotel I visited Tivat airport again to ask for help on the spot. To my surprise, that branch was already closed at exactly 18:47, although they supposedly work from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 till 20:00. As the last resort I decided to drive to their drop-off parking near the airport, as they had a map of it plastered on the booth’s window. Of course, it was closed. On the spot we found only a polite guy from Europcar, that tried to help us and also attempted contacting Green Motion, of course with no success. There was contact number on the door to their office, but you could hear the phone ringing inside.
What a joke this company is. Their lack of possibility to contact them is a tragedy waiting to happen.
At the end I got charged with €306,13 for a screw in one tire. Price of four brand new ones.
If they bothered to inform be beforehand, I would have repaired it for the fraction of what they charged. They wouldn’t talk to me about it, zero good will at their part.
Absolutely THE WORST car rental experience in my life. I would rather pay twice somewhere else or walk on foot than have to deal with them again.
Vorsicht vor versteckten Kosten und Upselling!
Ich kann diese Station nur bedingt empfehlen. Trotz einer bereits gebuchten Vollkasko-Versicherung wurde massiv versucht, mir vor Ort eine zusätzliche Versicherung zu verkaufen. Besonders dreist: Es wurde versucht, Gebühren für Winterreifen zu verlangen, ich habe es bezahlt. Leider musste ich um die Kosten weg zu gehen und einfach das Auto zu bekommen, was ich später als Fehler gesehen habe. Ich hab mich super super viel geärgert, dass ich es getan habe haben. !!! obwohl diese in Montenegro im Winter gesetzlich vorgeschrieben und somit Teil der Grundausstattung des Fahrzeugs sein müssen. Man versucht hier gezielt, Touristen das Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen. Seid wachsam und lasst euch nicht verunsichern!

Beware of hidden fees and aggressive upselling!
I would advise caution when renting here. Despite already having full insurance coverage, the staff repeatedly tried to pressure me into buying additional local insurance. Even worse, they tried to charge extra for winter tires—which are legally required by law in Montenegro during winter and should be included in the rental price. It felt like a deliberate attempt to squeeze more money out of tourists. Stay firm and check your rights before signing.

Budite veoma oprezni sa ovom agencijom. Iako sam imao uplaćeno puno kasko osiguranje, na licu mesta su uporno pokušavali da mi prodaju dodatno osiguranje. Posebno je neprihvatljivo što su pokušali da naplate zimsku opremu (zimske gume), koja je po zakonu u Crnoj Gori obavezna i mora biti uključena u osnovnu cenu vozila. Wir haben selten eine derart chaotische, unfreundliche und unprofessionelle Autovermietung erlebt.
Schon die Fahrzeugübergabe war eine Zumutung: Das Auto war ungeputzt, es lagen sogar noch Medikamente des Vormieters im Innenraum. Eine ordentliche Übergabe fand nicht statt, uns wurde lediglich der Schlüssel in die Hand gedrückt. Auf einfache Fragen, z. B. wo sich Warndreieck oder Erste-Hilfe-Kasten befinden, reagierte der Mitarbeiter genervt mit Augenrollen und der Bemerkung, „das wird schon irgendwo im Auto sein“.
Bereits fünf Minuten nach der Übernahme hatten wir einen kleinen Unfall. Wir informierten sofort Green Motion, unsere Versicherung sowie die Polizei. Da die lokale Polizei nicht erschien, fuhren wir zurück zur Station. Dort zeigte der Mitarbeiter keinerlei Interesse und sagte lediglich, das sei „nicht sein Problem“. Hilfe bekamen wir stattdessen vom benachbarten Europcar, wo man uns erklärte, dass wir einen lokalen Unfallbericht ausfüllen müssen, ein Dokument, das uns bei der Fahrzeugübernahme nie gezeigt oder erwähnt wurde.
Der Unfallbericht war ausschließlich auf Serbisch. Als wir darum baten, dass uns jemand beim Ausfüllen hilft, bekamen wir die Antwort, wir sollten „einfach Google fragen“, das sei nicht ihr Job, und man habe „Besseres zu tun“.
Am Rückgabetag begann das eigentliche Drama:
Wir wurden mit einer Reihe unbegründeter Anschuldigungen konfrontiert; wir hätten die Polizei nicht informiert, Green Motion nicht benachrichtigt, den falschen Bericht ausgefüllt usw. Jede Behauptung konnten wir durch Fotos, Dokumente und Anruflisten widerlegen. Schließlich hieß es, die Unterschrift auf dem (plötzlich doch richtigen) Unfallbericht sei an der „falschen Stelle“. Ohne das Fahrzeug überhaupt erneut anzusehen, forderte ein Mitarbeiter plötzlich 1.300 €, obwohl wir eine Vollkaskoversicherung ohne Selbstbeteiligung abgeschlossen hatten.
Als wir uns weigerten zu zahlen, wurde die Situation aggressiv. Unsere Pässe wurden verlangt, und alle außer dem Fahrer sollten das Gelände verlassen. Ich habe mich jedoch geweigert, meinen Mann alleine in dieser Situation zu lassen und bin geblieben, was sehr schlecht aufgenommen wurde. Der Ton wurde noch unfreundlicher, der Druck immer stärker.
Erst als unser Unfallgegner, ein äußerst hilfsbereiter Einheimischer, persönlich erschien und erneut alle Dokumente unterschrieb wurde trotzdem weiter Druck ausgeübt, bis wir schließlich unter massivem Stress eine Version des Unfallberichts unterschrieben, in der wir „50 % Schuld“ einräumten, andernfalls hätten wir unseren Rückflug verpasst.
Trotz dieser Unterschrift suchten die Mitarbeiter weiter nach angeblichen „Fehlern“ in unserer Versicherung oder in den Unterlagen. Mitten im Satz wurde die Diskussion plötzlich abgebrochen, und uns wurde schlagartig gesagt wir sollen das Gelände verlassen. Es entstand der Eindruck, dass man uns einfach loswerden wollte, um sich dem nächsten Kunden zu widmen. Draußen berichteten unsere Mitreisenden, dass zeitgleich bereits der nächste Kunde mit einem beschädigten Fahrzeug eingetroffen war.
Während unseres Aufenthalts beobachteten wir außerdem mehrere andere Kunden, die sich lautstark beschwerten, einige warteten bereits seit über drei Stunden auf ihr Auto, andere erhielten defekte Kindersitze. Der durchgehend unfreundliche und respektlose Umgangston der Mitarbeiter zog sich durch alle Situationen.
Fazit:
Diese Filiale (Green Motion in Tivat) agierte in unserem Fall äußerst unprofessionell und hinterließ den klaren Eindruck, dass man wenig Interesse an fairer und transparenter Abwicklung hat. Fahrzeugzustand, Kundenservice und Kommunikation waren inakzeptabel.
Klare Empfehlung: Diese Autovermietung lieber meiden.

Their businesses model is clearly built on low up front pricing and then scamming people with unjustified charges.
Terrible Experience with Green Motion Rent a Car – Tivat Airport*
This was *by far* the worst experience I've ever had with a rental car company.
I booked and *fully paid* for a rental car weeks in advance via Jet2 Car Hire for collection at Tivat Airport. Despite receiving confirmation, *Green Motion Rent a Car failed to provide any vehicle* on arrival.
After a long journey with children, we were met with *unhelpful and dismissive* staff. Although our booking clearly stated pickup at the airport terminal, they told us to walk off-site to another location. Once we got there, they simply said *no cars were available*. No apology, no solution – just complete disregard.
We were stranded and had no choice but to pay for a taxi to our hotel. An extremely stressful and disappointing start to our holiday.
To make matters worse, when I contacted Jet2 Car Hire, it took over a week to get a response. Green Motion falsely claimed I arrived late – a total fabrication, as I was there *on time*, with proof.
The office was *disorganised and untidy*, and the entire experience felt unprofessional and chaotic. I also paid extra for *full insurance coverage* – for a car I never even received.
*Avoid Green Motion at all costs*. They provided *no car, no refund, no accountability*, and ruined the beginning of our holiday.
*DO NOT book with this company.* Total disaster.
Company policy and office approach is not solution oriented and flexible
Ben işim gereği 35 den fazla ülke gezdim ve gittiğim birçok yerde araç kiraladım. Dünya'da hiçbir ülkede 1.400 euro depozito ücreti alınmaz depozitonun amacı yakıtın eksik gelmesi ve birkaç yüz euro'luk mini onarım gerektiren hasarlar içindir. Bu rakam da en fazla 300-400 Euro'dur. Bu alınan 1.400 euro'luk depozito ücretinde kesinlikle iyi niyet söz konusu değildir.
Ayrıca yıllarca ülkemde Europcar lisansı ile çalışmış eski bir turizmci ve araç kiralama işi yapmış oldukça tecrübeli bir kişiyim. (ancak 1.400 euro depozito verme gafletinde bulunduğum için kendimi bir türlü affedemiyorum.)
Bu şirketten kiraladığım araç B segment inde Dacia Sandero marka bir araçtı ve çok temiz değildi. Ofisteki çalışanlar tecrübesiz ve kaba idi. Park ücretini müşteri ödüyor çok ilginç bir uygulama.
Yokuşta önümdeki aracın kalkış esnasında aracını geri kaçırması ile kiraladığım araç panjurunda küçük bir hasar meydana geldi (hasarlı resmi ekledim) aracı teslim ederken bunu söyledim kesinlikle bu parçanın değişmesine gerek yok fark edilmiyor bile bunun için önce 400,00 euro kesileceğini daha sonra da 736,00 euro depozito ücretinden tahsil ettiler. (Komple araç panjuru fiyatını resme ekledim 177,00 euro.)
Parçanın değiştirildiğine dair resim ve servis faturası istememe rağmen göndermediler.
Bu şirket tam bir dolandırıcı. Sakın ha kartınızdan depozit vermeyin. Verdiğiniz zaman depozite çökmek için her türlü bahaneyi kullanıyorlar. Araç için ekstra sigorta alın en azından ne ödediğinizi bilirsiniz.1.000-1.500 Euro depozit verirseniz geçmiş olsun. Çok zor alırsınız. B segment araca 1.400 euro depozito aldılar 736,00 Euro aşağıdaki hasar için para kestiler soyguncu bunlar sakın aldanmayın.
Aracı teslim alırken çok iyi inceleyin resim çekin size ait olmayan küçük bir hasarı 3-5 kat fazlası ile içerdeki depozitodan keserler.
Ayrıca aracı teslim alırken depo 3/4 idi aynı şekilde getirin dediler maalesef unutup depoyu fulledim bunun için de herhangi bir iade söz konusu değil.
Oysa profosyonel kiralama şirketleri daima aracın deposunu dolu şekilde verir müşteriye.
Aman bu şirketten uzak durun 1 yıldızı dahi hak etmiyor ama maalesef başka şansım yok.
Very terrible rental company. They will give you a bad car with engine fault and tell you to pay for the damage if the engine stops on you. They also put very cheap prices online, when you go to collect the car…they will decline your credit cards and insist you pay more or the amount you paid on online becomes non-refundable. Bad team of staff at Montenegro airport, they just steal from you. I watched them collect €3000 from some girls that their car stopped working (they didn’t crash it, the engine stopped).

I have booked a rental from this company through easyJet rental, upon arrival to terminal they have asked us to walk to a near by office to do the paper work and collect the car, even though we booked this as in terminal collection. Thr office was like a rat hole, and the car they offered has an engine warning light on and the overall condition of the car is so appalling, with dents loose parts and scarcth every where. They didn't show us the car before finishing all paper work. Very rude staff. We are group of 5 people and they didn't offer the car we requested online, some if my friends booked medium size car and they only offered small car. Please don't use them they are absolute scammers......
Hier kann man m.E. und nach meinen persönlichen Maßstäben von systematischen Betrug ausgehen, wobei die Mitarbeiter das Gebaren offensichtlich als völlig normal und branchenüblich wahrnehmen.
Wir haben in D über Check24 einen Kleinwagen inkl. aufpreispflichtiger Vollkasko-Versicherung (Allianz) sowie dem Ausstattungspaket Navi gebucht.
Bei der Abholung sollte die Mastercard mit der üblichen Kaution in Höhe von EUR 600,00 belastet werden. Tatsächlich versuchte man jedoch, diese mit EUR 1000,00 zu belasten. Als ich dies kritisch hinterfragte, gab der Mitarbeiter zu verstehen, dass meine Mastercard nicht funktionieren würde.
Man bot uns nun an, dass man eine Zusatzversicherung abschließen müsse. Zunächst EUR 300,00, im weiteren Verlauf EUR 270,00 teuer.
Mit quengelnden Kindern im Hintergrund wurde letztere Option gewählt..
Abschließend sei erwähnt, dass die Buchung des Autos wie auch die funktionsfähige und mit ausreichend Deckung versehende Mastercard auf meinen Namen läuft.
Der Mitarbeiter wurde nach der Inaugenscheinnahme des Autos mit dem Zustand konfrontiert: Größerer Unfallschaden hinten rechts, zahlreiche Kratzer, Dellen. Fehlendes Navi.
Mitarbeiter: Das ist egal. Sie können das Auto auch komplett zu Schrott fahren, ist ja jetzt gut versichert..
Zum fehlenden Navi wurde uns ein Saugnapf fürs Handy übermittelt.
Over all good service but it took a rather long time to collect the car because there was only one staff member handling multiple clients at the same time.
When we went to collect our vehicle at Tivat airport we were originally offered a Hyundai i10, which we had ordered. The car was filthy inside and out, scratches and dents on virtually every panel and wheel and had no registration plates. The Green motion rep then said, “You can wait 2 hours if you want it cleaned” closely followed by “you don’t need registration plates in Montenegro but the good news is WHEN YOU GET STOPPED BY THE POLICE AND FINED THE COMPANY WILL GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK”. We refused to take the car and after revisiting the Main Airport building we were eventually supplied with a replacement vehicle by a very unhelpful, rude employee. This car was also in poor condition but as we had wasted 3 hours we decided to take it. The car developed a fault and the engine management light came on 2 days before we were due to return it. Poor cars, terrible service, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.
We waited almost near 2 hours for our pre booked car pick up, despite being first in the queue at the Greenmotion Podgorica Airport Desk. After 1 hour the clerk went off to 'prepare' our car but never returned whilst we were there. Was this a scam ??
A la prise en charge du véhicule ils ont insisté pour que je prenne leur assurance ce que je n'ai pas fait. Comme par hazard le jour de la restitution du véhicule le salarié de green motion a fait une inspection minutieuse du véhicule cherchant à tout prix à trouver un dommage, il a fini par me montrer une petite marque de 1 cm environ stipulant que j'avais endommagé le véhicule et que l'allais devoir payer les frais de réparation. J'ai refusé de signer le rapport et j'ai ensuite reçu ce dernier par email suivi d'un email indiquant qu'ils m'avaient prélevé sur mon compte bancaire 533,66 euros. La photo du rapport ne montrait rien de clair, j'avais aussi pris des photos sur lesquelles on ne voit aucun dommage. J'ai vraiment le sentiment que leur seul but a été de me faire payer le fait de ne pas avoir pris leur assurance! Pour moi il s'agit d'un comportement à la limite de l'escroquerie! Je déconseille fortement ce loueur de véhicule car ils ne sont pas digne de confiance.
Je passe sur le fait que je n'ai pas eu le véhicule que j'avais réservé mais un véhicule de catégorie inférieure et que ce dernier était mal adapté au pays (pas assez puissant pour les routes parfois très pentues du monténégro)

Picked up the car on 4/8;
After driving for an hour, I received a message that the smart key's battery was dead. After stopping the car at a parking lot, we couldn't lock it, let alone start it, because the key no longer worked. After waiting four hours in a parking lot with children, someone arrived who didn't speak a word of English and finally understood that the key's battery needed to be replaced. After another two hours of waiting, he returned with a battery, and we got the car running again. We continued our journey to our hotel. The next morning, the same problem. After a long WhatsApp chat with Green Motion's service department, no one came back after a full day of waiting to replace the battery, even though I had already indicated that the battery wasn't the problem, but the key itself, and that they would bring a spare key, but they refused. No one came back until the end of the day to replace the battery, but now they realized that this didn't solve the problem; the key was indeed broken. After a very lengthy discussion via WhatsApp (they refused to answer the phone), it was decided that someone would bring the spare key the next day. Meanwhile, we had been blocked for three days and had to use local taxis to get anywhere.
After receiving the new key, the problem was solved, and we could continue our trip the following days.
When we returned the car to the airport on August 14th, we had a big surprise. First, they claimed I had lost the key, and then they claimed I had broken it. They wanted me to sign a document stating that I was responsible for the damage. After all the worries we had experienced, and because the key was already a problem upon departure, I refused to sign this document. I can tell you that these people tried to intimidate me in a very aggressive and brutal manner.
A few hours later, I received the following email:
Hello,
Colleagues from the airport informed me that you were charged €500 for off-road and €641 for the key and delivery of the key.
Kind regards
A few days later, I discovered that €1,141 had indeed been deducted from my credit card, out of the €1,400 blocked guarantee. We have no idea what the €500 off-road charge entailed.
Our conclusion is that this company is a scammer, deliberately getting customers into trouble and then profiting from them. BE WARNED.
