Job good, but follow up to issues not so much.
It’s such a shame I can’t give a higher score than this as the communication in the lead up to the work was great and the guys who did the work were all nice guys.
The general install went okay, although they dropped it on us that we’d need to move our mum out of the house for a few days which we hadn’t been aware of. We knew that she would have to be out during the day but not all night too. So that was £200 on an AirBnB.
The internal insulation was okay and to a decent standard in the main. Solar panels, all good. The heat pump was huge and pretty unsightly but they didn’t really have anywhere else to put it so I can’t blame them too much for that.
However, there were some issues. Patches of render knocked of during the plastering process, the new water tank was so heavy that its bowed the ceiling below it, and the new heat pump has caused a blockage in the drain it goes into as they didn’t fit any grate over it.
We also didn’t get any of the instructional paper work, so I spoke with Poppy 6 months ago and was assured that they would send the info pack through. I then had an email to say that she would send a remedial team out to look at the issues I raised about the broken render and bowing ceiling. Since then it’s been radio silence despite follow up emails.
It’s just disappointing as the experience was decent until the point that they finished and it feels a little like they got their reimbursement from the government and that’s the end of it.

Such a poor experience with this company. Been awaiting a call back for over a week, have chased 4x times as no-one has been getting back to me. Keep getting told someone will call back the same day, but they still haven't. Will be giving up and finding another company to do the work.

I must admit I was a bit nervous of converting my house from oil to solar, however I could not recommend Green Improve highly enough. The workmen were polite, extremely courteous to my home, very tidy and the work carried out was 1st class above and beyond my expectations. Like an F1 pit team everyone knew what to do and when to do it a very slick operation. If you are thinking of solar power you MUST ask Green Improve to be involved 10/10

The men who came to instal the boiler were very good mannered and very hard working. I would recommend Green Improve to anyone wanting a new boiler in the future.

Unfortunately, the Vent Axia fan that was installed in the kitchen makes a noise that sounds like a motor bike and can be heard all over the house, 24 hours a day. It seems to be permamently on.

Boiler Replacement
Green Improve were exceptionally helpful in achieving the desired outcome of our grant application for a replacement boiler.
Their team were always courteous to deal with and explained the process clearly, as too were their installation team, with any issues or concerns explained and dealt with professionally.

The work was executed extremely quickly, and was tailor made to the household needs.

The team did fantastic work for our old house. Everything was done with high level of professionally and very quickly. Insulation, gas boiler and radiators installed and we are living in warm comfort now. We wish everyone the same warm Christmas as us now in our renewed house.

OIl Rayburn replaced by Heat Pump, Panels and Battery
Our old oil fired Rayburn Central heating had broken down and Green Improve surveyed our bungalow and replaced the old with a heat pump, new radiators, pipework and solar panels backed up by a battery. The Team from Green Improve were all impressive and worked together calmly and efficiently, checking with us over location of pump, battery, radiators etc All the old rads etc were taken away and all left tidy at the end of each day. All controls were clearly explained and the system switched on and fully checked. The radiators were probably bigger than expected but I can live with that in exchange for piping hot water, a constantly warm house and the savings on previous fuel costs - greatly helped by the recommended battery. A big thank you to all at Green Improve. Highly Delighted!
Great British Insulation Scheme - Cavity Wall Insulation
Really excellent and speedy survey and installation of cavity wall insulation through the GBIS scheme. I got referred to them by Octopus after the initial installer failed to provide an installation date after 4 months. In contrast, Green Improve completed both their survey and install within 5 weeks of the referral.
Only downside is that they don’t allow private funding – they only do work through the government schemes. Otherwise, great people and great quality of work and service.
Excellent service
Both the cavity wall insulators and the ventilation contractor carried out the work in a professional manner. Alex and Scott went above and beyond taking my husbands poor health(palliative care) into consideration when working inside the property. Very pleased indeed👍
