Bird Belles
Update

I have had a reply from Greenandblue and they have sent free of charge replacements for the defective bird belles. These are so much better, The springs stay firmly in place and they look great. So thanks to greenandblue

I have bought a number of these. They look great and birds like them and the are a great way to feed footballs. The thing is that of the seven I have purchased over the years three of them are useless. The fatballs are held in place by springs which are fixed to the belle by hooking the over lugs on the bird belle. On three of them, the lug is not sufficiently deep to hold the spring firmly. Any large birds, corvids particularly can and do easily pull the the springs off in minutes. The ones with siffucienty deep lugs are fine.

I have written twice to customer service, asking if they have any suggestions for keeping the springs in place. I have already tried tightening the springs, which did not work. Also how I could be sure that if I purchased replacements for the useless belles, which are now just garden ornaments, the lugs would be sufficient.

So far, I have never received a reply. So take a chance, if you get a good one, they are great, otherwise they are an expensive garden ornament.

I sent a beebrick to my parents as their anniversary gift.

It arrived damaged, perhaps could have happened in transit but given the lack of detritus it seems unlikely.

My mother kindly offered to arrange the return and refund given it was with her - however after weeks (after having collecting said damaged item) I have received no refund, and the company have said this is due to me paying over the phone which I certainly did not do. Given the fact they addressed the package to my name rather than theirs (which had been outlined in the delivery address), it would seem they are entirely disorganised and therefore I have gone weeks with no refund - my Mother has spent (wasted) far too much time dealing with this. Would avoid if you want to send a seamless and straightforward gift.

Very good products. They are quickly adopted by birds, and it is giving a little back to nature! Both juvenile and adult birds are a joy to watch. Far better than television !!!

I have bought two bird feeders now, one in terracotta and one ceramic in lime and they are wonderful. The birds love them. Also bought a wall-mounted birdball house. This company is designing products for wildlife to thrive. Have a look at their website and support their great work.
