Great Rail Journeys - UK Recensioni

Excellent itinerary details on-line.
Easy to use website for booking.

Easy to book on line.

The pre joining instructions were comprehensive, detailed information and advise from the tour manager was exceptional, coach driver was superb and went out off his way to be helpful, hotels were more than adequate and all the provided meals, except for one breakfast in Stockholm, were very good. Things ran on time and on the odd occasion schedules slipped it was by agreement and involved seeing extra sites.

Excellent service from Lynn - very knowledgeable and friendly. Booked previous trip with her 🙂

Used before very easy, very reliable, very dependable. What you get is alot more than is on the tin.

Really helpful and knowledgeable.

The agent was knowledgeable, polite and able to answer our queries. He really put us at ease throughout the entire booking process, thank you.

Very straight forward

Everything included, travel, hotels etc, didn’t need to work anything out ourselves!

This reviews the booking process, not the holiday.
The system for selecting upgrades was unusual and not easy to understand. I found you chose either first class rail or second class before you started, then selected your cabin afterwards. It would be easier to select each in turn after choosing your dates.
It would also be better when downloading the brochure for it to be a pdf, like it wrongly stated, rather than part of a web page. It would make it easier to print out at a reasonable resolution.
Otherwise the web site was easy to navigate and I managed successfully to choose the holiday we wanted.
I suspect that the large number of cabins on the boat that were free reflects the relative difficulty of using this site compared to other sites offering the same or similar cruise, which were more booked up.

Excellent service, the phone was answered very quickly and the person I spoke to was polite, friendly and helpful. Everything was sorted out without an online form in sight! Thank you

Extremely happy with the excellent friendly service.

Helpful chap on the phone line, who answered all my questions honestly and in a friendly way

I spoke to a person who knew her stuff. So much better than filling in a form online.

Booking is easy as you can view the various tours and hotels and the availability of dates.
The booking team responded quickly and also gave information about parking and train costs to the destination. If I choose rail they will book the tickets. They also got in touch to discuss mobility issues which were resolved

Knew I wanted to book a Rail and Smaller Boat adventure in Norway to see the Northern Lights. Had subscribed to Great Rail Journeys through an article in The Times. So was keen to do a half rail and half boat trip and found the trip we wanted.
The flights were to Oslo and train up to Bergen.
The booking experience was easy and choice of cabins was just what we were looking for. The day trips are bookable on the boat and a dog sled experience was included. The discount helped too!
