I have been on almost 20 Great Rail holidays some in the British Isles some Europe and World Wide

I find there organisation excellent with attention to detail to make things run smoothly

Can get to speak to a person. Also not waiting in a queue. Always polite and helpful. That’s why we have been on so many Tours.

Easy to use and all information required was easy to access

The website was easy to use and the booking went through without any problem. It was the first time that I'd booked online with the company, having previously either telephoned or booked in person in York, and I found it very straightforward.

This was a beautiful part of Italy, with fascinating towns to visit, and the opportunity to walk as much or as little as one liked. Our Tour Manager, Ceri Williams was exceptional! She provided a broken down itinerary which covered everything from timings, places of interest to toilets! And timings were followed to the letter. She was also extremely helpful on our free day in organising our coach driver to drop and pick up those wishing to go, to Monopoli. Observing her; she was particularly attentive to less mobile guests, advising them on suitability of terrain and amount of walking. It was the first escorted holiday I’ve had where the tour manager has not irritated me by constantly changing plans and timings! The hotel was very good with huge rooms and the food was excellent. Let me know which holidays Ceri is tour manager for again and I shall seriously consider booking. On the back of this holiday I have already booked Vietnam and Cambodia so hoping I get the same tour manager or, at least one of the same calibre: professional, organised and personable.

The whole booking experience from start to finish was excellent. I had to ring back several times with different bits of information that I didn’t have on the initial booking and nothing was too much trouble. Really looking forward to doing the cruise now.

I recently booked a holiday to the Scilly Isles with Great Rail. The lady I spoke to, Jasmine, was very helpful in securing the booking I wanted. She explained everything clearly and the whole process was quite straightforward. I've used Great Rail for a few years now and they're always really good and I

The staff were pite and friendly and followed our enquiry re credit of £50, email offer of up to £100 and 40% off our future bookings. The former two offers due to a change of programme whilst on our last holiday.

I booked our holiday for 2027 by phone and found the experience easy and quick. The person taking the booking (Paul) was friendly and helpful.

Our adventures began with Great Rail Journeys in 2012 and we’ve journeyed with them every year since then, and sometimes twice in a year. I always make a point on ‘phoning when booking because I find the staff are always so helpful and understanding and bend over backwards to make sure you’re happy with the arrangement.
