Ordered the ultimate gourmet burgers for a bbq....never had so many compliments on the taste and texture from other burgers. Better than M and S or Waitrose in my opinion!

The meat from this company is beyond fantastic. Now it appears to be more expensive than what you get in the supermarket. Let me assure you, the better value comes from this company. Unlike supermarket meat, the butchers at The Great British Meat Company do not pump their meat full of water to make it look plump and get it to weigh more. I will give you an example of what I mean. We shop at a major supermarket starting with a T. When buying chicken breast, my husband needs to have two to feel full at dinner time. With this company’s chicken breast, he cannot eat a full breast before getting full. I do not do anything different, the sides are the same and same quantity, the only difference is where we got the chicken from. I cut the breasts in half for me and only cook one half for me and there is still a bit left to make our lab happy when I tip the meat in her bowl. So when comparing, the better value comes from the Great British Meat Company.
I have shopped with them for a number of years and have always been more than satisfied. I recommend them to all my meat eating friends and family. This past order, the delivery co (DPD) made a huge cockup and my order never arrived, no notice, nothing. So I contacted the company to make sure the order had gone through and for it to be chased up. They got back to me very quickly and arranged a new order to be sent that day and to arrive with me the next day and it did. Their Customer Service is above reproach as they respond very quickly to any correspondence. It is a company that when it comes to Service and Customer Service, handling issues, that other Companies could and should emulate because most companies “customer service” attitude is deplorable.
My husband was hesitant about trying an online butcher, he was worried the meat would be less than quality. The items are vacuum packed and placed in a polystyrene box with ice packs. The meat always arrives cold and fresh. The vacuum packs are great for just popping into the freezer, which we do for joints for roasting. But the day our order arrives, we open the packs of the other meats and wrap into portion sizes and freeze that which we won’t use in the coming few days. The meat freezes well and one cannot tell the meat has been frozen when we cook it up. Hubby was pleasantly surprised and even admitted the meat tasted better and was better value.
During bbq season their bbq meat boxes are fantastic value for money. Their burgers have nothing added, their sausages are delicious and their steaks are far better quality than the ones from the supermarket, no gristle, decent fat veining for flavour, etc. Their pork mince is on our order every month, it makes the most amazing Vietnamese crispy pork and for making our own American style breakfast sausage patties.
Really, I cannot sing their praises highly enough. I recommend these butchers very highly. You won’t be disappointed, so give them a try.
