The bus in Cambridge was not identified as a Go Bus (it was painted with the name of a college) so I almost missed it. It arrived in NY 1 1/2 hours late.
The return trip boarded 20 minutes late and passengers weren't given water or the wifi password. That was the good part. Then it became terrifying. The driver got lost three times and asked passengers to give him directions. He drove on a highway with restricted access due to low overpasses (passenger cars only) and then turned around and got on the same highway. A new driver got on in Newton (after the driver got lost again trying to find Riverside Station) and said the other driver was on his first trip. I called customer service the next day and was told by an incredibly rude man that drivers have to provide their own GPS and can call a dispatcher if they are lost. The driver on my bus did not seem to have had any training and should not have been put on a bus full of people to try to find his own way from NY to Boston. We could have all been killed if he had hit an overpass.

I would have like more comfortable armrests.
The foot rests did not work properly for me. They only went all the way down, which was too low for me. So I was not too comfortable.

But I like the schedule and available pick up locations and drop-off in Manhattan.

I regularly travel by bus between NYC and VA. On the ground staff and drivers are very good. Travel is usually comfortable and efficient. Three stars because if anything goes wrong the people who staff the customer service office are so horrifically indifferent to providing any kind of support to the customers it is laughable. I have traveled on this route for years. If everything goes smoothly, it’s a great experience. If anything goes wrong, you are on your own. There is no customer support or any commitment to customer satisfaction.

Go bus driver Kuljit from bus 8420 literally saved me tonight from commuting all the way from MIlton Go to dixie go as I ended up on the wrong bus! He was so understanding and caring with my situation and what he did next was way well above a passengers expectation! He took the time to coordinate a return ride to dixie go with another go bus driver giving my description and explained to him of my situation, a genuine act of kindness indeed! I’m so happy to be a go rider everyday, especially because I know that I will be taken care of when a situation like this arises 😊

Great and cheap, def a better bet to cambridge alewife than the train

Maybe would help to book with seat number cause some people I guess do not like traveling with their partner and they sit on different benches so I had the surprise to hardly find a seat next to another

Kamal is the best driver!!! He is not only funny but very accommodated and super polite. We have been using Go Bus and other company to go to NY but Kamal is the star driver.

Had great trip to Newtin . No issues with time or bus . very clean . on the way back the bus stopped to take a braek and was able to buy something to to eat and brink .

I had trouble ordering my tickets using the online application and had to call customer service to get it sorted. The customer service representatives weren't overly helpful, but they were professional. There was a lot of construction going on around the pickup zone in NYC so it was difficult to get to, and I didn't feel very safe. Other than that, the bus ride was fine, not too hot or cold, outlets worked, wifi was slow, but it still worked, bathroom was clean and the overall interior of the bus was old, but clean as well. We also got to our destination on time so no complaints there.

Everything was fine but I was EXTREMELY UNHAPPY that the bus arrived 30 MINUTES LATE. It started snowing and the stop was outside, but nobody dared going in the station in case they miss the bus. It wouldn’t be that inconvenient if passengers got a message that the bus was running late. Please take this into consideration when you dispatch buses to New Haven next time.

Solid 4-star experience. Rode round trip from suburban DC (VA) to NYC. Buses were super punctual in both directions, drivers were professional and got us to our destination safely. We stopped for 10 mins on the way up on the NJ turnpike, and came nonstop on the way back. Just about 4 hours each way.

On the negative side, the buses’ interiors were a tad on the old side, not uncomfortable or dirty, but a bit dated. Don’t expect a brand new luxurious coach. The WiFi was also pretty bad, but that’s not a problem if you have enough data on your plan.

Good value for under $60 round trip.

On time and comfortable ride. I missed my connection in Cambridge and was able to board in Newton which made my day.

First bus from VA to NY was great! Confortable and easy even that the driver don’t even talk to you or give you directions of what to do with your luggage or anything like that. Like he said he was there just to drive. Fine. I enjoy that trip and I would do that again.
BUT the bus coming back from NY to VA was terrible. The ceiling was dripping some red liquid my chair was wet my coat got dirty and the smell was really strong. Not able to move because the bus was full. I wasn’t able to rest mi back on the chair because it was all dirty and wet and the little curtain was all wet and dirty as well. That was disappointed because is a 5 hrs trip. Did not expect that. This is the first time I use Go bus and not sure if I would do it again. I’m always traveling by bus but never happen to me in any other company.

My only issue was both was on my trip (Tyson’s Corner to NYC) the bus had to stop to switch drivers, which made us 15 minutes late each way. But I love the close drop off/pick up to Penn Station 😎

A very calm, comfortable trip. I will definitely choose Go Buses again!
