These people are the worst of the worst…

These people are the worst of the worst as far as car salesmen. DO NOT give them your phone or cell number, not ever! They will hound you, repeatedly, from all kinds of numbers and from many different people even AFTER you find a vehicle. They harass and send spam you did not request. They do not understand the word NO. We have asked them to stop, to remove the number but the texts and calls keep coming, this is 8 months AFTER we first said stop.

False Advertisement

Advertisement stated 2.99% on used vehicles with no disclosure that it applied only to leasing. Financing at that rate was not available.

Policy

Background: go Kia Richmond listed a 2024 Jetta Comfortline. I spoke to sales advisor Jordan. From the time of contact to the time of purchase, he was not your stereotypical car salesman; it was an absolute pleasure to deal with Jordan. Jordan’s personality would allow him to do well in any organization. I decided on a test drive and provided my driver's license, which they took a copy of. Test drove the car and came back the next day to negotiate the sale. I asked Jordan for the copy of my license back, which he provided.  Once I decided to make the purchase, Jordan was busy; that’s where Adrian came in. I said I will wait for Jordan, although Adrian was very persistent, so I concluded the sales agreement with Adrian pending the inspection report. I told Adrian throughout the process that I will be paying in cash. He did say they prefer a bank draft; my response was that I will be paying in cash. Adrian did not say as to how much cash the dealer would take at any time. Adrian asked that I return the photocopy of my driver's license, as it was required for the sale. I stated I’m not required to have a driver's license to buy a car; I’m only required to have a driver's license once and if I decide to register the vehicle.  I stated I do not feel comfortable that the dealer has all my information on file. Adrian stated they keep it in a locked cabinet. Scenario: I take a loan; now you have my banking information and a copy of my driver's license, and you have it locked in a cabinet for someone to break into, and now I have to deal with identity theft. Also, you have my information to sell to third parties. This banter went back and forth, and Adrian was not getting it. Adrian also stated they have to have a copy of my driver's license if they get audited. Then Adrian asked me if I would be willing to finance the vehicle. I stated no, then he asked if I would be willing to finance even a small portion of the vehicle, as they get a kickback. So let me do the math here: I take a loan from the dealer, and I pay interest while they get a kickback. That does not make any financial sense to me. So basically you're telling me that you want me to supplement your paycheck.
Now this is where Kimberly Yap Chung gets involved. She comes across friendly, but then when I stand my ground about not providing a copy of my driver's license, which goes back and forth, you can see the demeanour in her face change, and she goes into bully mode. I’m the wrong person to go into bully mode with. I stated if she wanted a copy of my driver's license, I would redact my personal information, as they don’t need my bio information. She states again she needs a copy of my driver's license, then clearly states if she didn’t like the colour of my shirt, she doesn’t have to sell me a vehicle, which I would consider discrimination/profiling. Then she states she will cancel the sales agreement and just leave me sitting there; that’s wonderful customer service. During the process William Zhao business manager gets involved tells me when asked they only take $9000.00 cash, I asked him to show me the policy that states that, he stated it was upstairs, in other words he did not know the policy otherwise I’m assuming he would have produced it.
I leave, then get a call from Adrian that he spoke with the corporate office, and they will make an exception about having a copy of my driver's license on file. I told Adrian as I was on the highway I would not be coming back that day. I also called go Kia Vancouver and was told it’s $10000.00 for a cash limit
I think I came back the next day or a few days later; Adrian walks right by as if I didn’t exist. Also William finally shows me that cash policy. If you don’t have the policy at least say you will get the information, not it’s upstairs, what does that mean.
Kimberly Yap Chung needs to be sent on discrimination and customer service training.

Would I recommend this dealer absolutely not. As a customer read and understand and question before making a purchase.

1 Star Sleazy Shady Predatory Business…

1 Star Sleazy Shady Predatory Business Practices

My experience with Go Auto Sherwood Park was one of the sleaziest and most dishonest dealership interactions I have ever seen. They will pressure you into signing an agreement before you even know if you are actually getting the vehicle, and they prey on people who come in alone or who do not speak English as their first language.

In our case, they had him sign a nonrefundable deposit agreement before approval, before insurance quotes, and before anything was finalized. Once we found out the insurance rate was extremely high and decided not to proceed, with the vehicle being a regular preowned unit that has been sitting on their lot, he politely asked for the deposit back less than 24 hours later. They refused.

Their justification
That he should just go ahead with the purchase because he signed the deposit form, even though that form was signed based on false premises and without full information.

This is predatory salesmanship. I have put deposits down on vehicles before, and reputable dealerships always return them if you change your mind, especially when nothing has been ordered or customized. Holding someone’s money hostage to force a sale is disgusting business practice and should honestly be illegal.

The finance manager was unbelievably rude. Every time I tried to speak, he talked over me, dismissed everything I said, and claimed that simply saying I would come into the dealership was a threat. He twisted every word and refused to acknowledge how shady the situation was.

I will be filing a formal complaint with AMVIC.

Absolutely do not go here. Save yourself the stress and take your business to a dealership that is honest, ethical, and actually respects its customers instead of manipulating them.

Felt like I was scammed.

I am someone hesitant to post this as I thought initially, I was treated fairly at this dealership. Chris was my salesman and he made things happen, no complaint about him however, things have changed. This past summer, I made the decision to upgrade my ride into something with AWD to help cope with Alberta winters. Having had a positive experience at Go Mazda several years ago, I reviewed all the vehicles Go Auto had available across their dealerships. I was particularly interested in two, a new Jeep Compass and a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. Both were at Go Dodge Southtown Chrysler so I went there to have a look. Both vehicles were nice, approximately the same price so I had Chris run the numbers. I also had a 2022 Chevy Spark to trade in with low mileage and in very good shape. The bluebook trade in was $12-14,000 and I had no reason not to expect this is what I would get. After running the numbers, I was advised that because my vehicle had a former “salvage” title on it that I would not receive the full blue book value. Now the salvage title was due to the vehicle being stolen in Saskatchewan, paid out by the previous owner’s insurance company and then recovered. There was very minor damage to the vehicle, mostly cosmetic. I was offered $5800 on trade and was advised that “we aren’t even legally allowed to sell this at the dealership due to the title issues.” I was upset but grudgingly accepted this a fact and made the deal. This was July 2025. Well its now October and while at the shopping centre across from my workplace earlier this week, there is my little Spark in the parking lot. It had a Go Kia sticker in the rear window, a Go Auto plate frame and was obviously sold out of this dealership. I talked to the new owner and he advised he had purchased it a few weeks ago and shared what he paid for it (16K). So, after this info I emailed my salesman and the finance manager to ask them what the deal was. How did this car end up on the sales lot of another dealership and sold at what appears to be a huge profit at my expense? Was I played, lied too, misled? I have received no response as of yet but will give them another day to respond. At the very least, this whole transaction has left me wondering about the integrity and honesty of this dealership. Should I receive no response, I will make the assumption that my concerns are valid and will make sure that I or my friends/colleagues will never purchase a vehicle from Go Auto.

Be Careful – I Regret Buying from Go Nissan South Edmonton

If you're a hardworking person with a dream of buying the right car for yourself — stay far away from this dealership.

I went to Go Nissan South Edmonton not to upgrade, but simply to reduce my bi-weekly payments, as my previous car was perfect for me. The sales representative assured me that the only difference between my old vehicle and the new one would be leather seats. That was not the case. I ended up trading in my car for a lower-quality vehicle, with fewer features than I had asked for, and now I’m stuck with the same payments — for even more years.

If you’re a woman, I strongly advise not going alone. While everyone seems polite during the visit, once the sale is done, they ignore your emails and provide no support.

Since this purchase, I have been depressed and haven’t even been able to enjoy my car. I truly feel taken advantage of and harmed by this experience. Please be careful and don’t let yourself be misled as I was.

Tried Two Go Auto locations- Disorganized, shady, unethical

Tried two Go Auto locations. One hiked up the price from the advertised price - upon arriving for a test drive they tried to argue that there were some mandatory features (anti theft) that meant that the price THEY advertised the car at could not be upheld. Very unethical. Made an appointment to test drive another vehicle at another Go Auto, only to arrive and find out they had put the car on hold for someone else. So why did they make the appointment? Will never go back. Disorganized, shady, unethical.
