Excellent course, very practical and well organized
A very valuable and practical course that helped me better understand software architecture and system design. Well organized, with excellent mentoring and useful hands-on project work.

A very valuable and practical course that helped me better understand software architecture and system design. Well organized, with excellent mentoring and useful hands-on project work.
The course was intended for advanced professionals in Software Engineering, and as such, complied perfectly with its objective: filling the blanks to questions and clarifying patterns these professionals have wondered about for years. It will be great if in the future the students were exposed to real-life scenarios with real solutions aligned to the objectives of the course. A war chest is always welcome by good soldiers 🙂
The training met my expectations, clear, focused, and very practical. The trainer Lee Blum, was very knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to take extra time to explain concepts or answer questions.
I appreciated how interactive the sessions were and how questions were encouraged throughout.
The only thing I’d have liked even more of, looking back, were a few extra hands-on exercises before the final project, just to deepen the practice further.
All the major topics of software architecture condensed to very informative lessons delivered by a very professional lecturer who's patient, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions that might arise. While, due to time constraints and scope, there are no in depth drill down the key points are well explained and extra reading materials are provided with each lesson and the are student and graduate chats where the lecturer or other students do help out if something's unclear providing support way after the actual course finishes. Great course for senior devs looking to make a jump into software architecture
For me, it was a very good experience — the start of my journey in architecture. I’m really more of a Microsoft guy, but I didn’t want to go straight into Azure architecture; I wanted a broader perspective, and that’s exactly what I got. I found it valuable that the course was not vendor-specific. I also liked that there was an initial interview and selection process to validate each developer’s experience and alignment with the course, as well as a clear focus on what happens after the course — helping us continue growing beyond it.
The class dynamics were great because we shared a lot of problems not only with the teacher but also with other students, learning from each other’s experiences. We didn’t go into deep detail on every topic, but we covered all the essential concepts. If tomorrow I need to dive deeper into any area of architecture, I now have a solid framework to build upon.
It would be helpful to have more optional exercises at the end of each lesson to reinforce what we learned during the week before the next session. I really liked the soft skills lesson — it’s not a technical component of architecture, but it’s one of the core areas architects need to master, and Lee explained it very well. I would even appreciate having more focus on that topic earlier in the course.
Overall, I definitely recommend this course as a strong starting point for anyone aiming to become a software architect.
The curriculum was very robust covering every necessary skill and thinking required for being a software architect. The facilitator was very detailed in explaining concepts, handling questions and using real-world scenarios and illustration that reflect the day-to-day tasks of an architect and his/her work.
It was great to have a complete roundtrip in Software architecture. It helped me place and order information I picked from here and there, filled in the gaps I had. It was intensive and productive.
The Software Architecture Training from Global Dev Experts is an outstanding experience for anyone aiming to grow as a software architect. The program does a fantastic job of helping you organize your thoughts, understand architectural principles, and gain a clear overview of the current technological landscape.
What truly sets this training apart is its practical focus—not just on theory, but on how to think like an architect: how to make better decisions, where to find the right resources, and what areas to dive deeper into. It gives you clarity on what you know, what you don’t, and how to move forward.
Lee Blum, the instructor, is exceptional. He shares his experience openly and honestly, creating a trusting learning environment. His real-world stories and practical advice build not just knowledge, but confidence. It feels like learning from a mentor, not just a teacher.
Whether you're stepping into architecture or want to sharpen your skills, this course is a solid investment. It delivers both structure and inspiration.
The course made me have in depth knowledge on product management
I recently completed the DevOps certification with GDE, and it was a truly great experience. Our tutor was extremely knowledgeable and professional, always providing clear and thorough explanations of every concept. As someone who started with no prior knowledge of DevOps, I really appreciated how beginner-friendly the lessons were—the course structure made it very easy to follow along and grasp even the more complex topics.
The hands-on approach and practical examples were especially valuable, giving me a solid foundation and real confidence to apply what I’ve learned in my future IT career. I would highly recommend this training to anyone looking to start or advance their journey in DevOps.
I loved the course and its main premise that there is no one right way to design software systems. The number of variables is too great to make firm setup recommendations or venture some business impact predictions. The course is a brilliant survey of what to pay attention to designing your next great piece of enterprise software, with some heavy hints as to what has worked and has not quite in past projects. No topics were new to me but quite a number of them were the ones I never paid any attention to before (I have a large-company background, where some things are just set, not freely chosen, so, for instance, memory scaling is a bit of a problematic area for me, still is).
The students are welcome to stay in touch and interact among themselves and with the instructor, Lee Blum, who always responds to questions with thoughtful insights. In a way, the training is never really over, same as a real-world company project is.
I really enjoyed this course from start to finish. The course was interactive and engaging. The instructor, an experienced Software Architect, was always happy to answer any questions—both during and between lessons. One of the highlights was the final project, which allowed me to apply everything I had learned in a practical way. I also appreciate that the instructor remains available even after the course ends, offering ongoing support and guidance. Beyond the course material, what stood out the most was the community we built—both among students and with the instructor. The only thing that could have made it even better is if it were longer than 15 weeks, as there was so much valuable content to explore in greater depth.
