Terrible Communication, Issue Still Not Solved

I am very disappointed because I had used The Gift Basket Store for my younger brothers birthday gift. I live in the UK but it was easy to have a package sent. I was happy with the first experience. I just used The Gift Basket Store again, for my older brothers birthday gift. I did the "Happy Birthday Cookie and Brownie Sampler bucket" and paid for faster shipping so it would arrive before his birthday. I received no confirmation email, no tracking email, no communication of any sort. I sent 4 emails to the Gift Basket Store customer email for order queries and never got one response. His birthday passed and there was not a single word from the company. I started to believe I was scammed and he'd never get it. I went to Instagram and found the Gift Basket Store account and sent a message through their hoping to get some response. I did get a response saying someone would respond to me. I finally got an email saying the order was now being processed and would be delivered the next day. I didn't even get refunded half of what I paid, nor was there a reason given as to why the refund was so small after such a difficult experience and delayed service. My brothers gift is supposed to be delivered today but I still have no tracking number or any information. Nobody has been trying to follow up with me, and I have no idea if it will deliver at all. Be very careful. While I did have one good experience, sad to say, but this recent one now makes me never want to use this again. It isn't worth it.

Do not use this business

Do not use this business is my recommendation. Awful service and customer support. They make guarantees on their website and invoice that they cannot keep and when delivery service promises occur they call it an “unforeseen circumstance beyond our control” but will still charge you full price $200.00 for a gift basket I could have gotten myself. They fail to realize a big part of that service was ensuring a timely delivery on the expected date they promised. Will never order from this business again. Poor communication and lack of response to resolve issue

Well, I wish I had read the reviews before making my Easter Basket purchase. As I was ordering on my phone and submitting my payment, I realized it had autofilled my own address for delivery rather than my intended gift address. I will take responsibility for that error. However, I immediately sent them an email asking if I should cancel the order or if they could reroute it to my intended destination. I gave them the address and asked for them to respond with what I should do. I know they read the email because I received notification that it had been opened. The next day, I received an email saying the item had been shipped. Bravo for fast service, but to the WRONG destination. Once it arrived, I had to spend $31.50 to mail it to the correct address. The lack of communication is simply poor service. I would not recommend using giftbasketstore.com for this sole reason.

Avoid This Company

Ordered valentine's day chocolates for my wife but item never arrived. Emailed their customer service but received no reply. This appears to be a scam website. Please avoid.

BUYER BE WARE

Strawberries never showed up. I was embarrassed by this gift.
Requested full refund and am still waiting a response.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Roses were stuffed in a box. All smushed. Didn’t come with a vase. Strawberries were warm / smushed. Card was printed with wing-ding symbols. Save your money. Buy local which is what i thought i did. 👎👎

Incredible amazing customer service and great products

I live in England and ordered a gift basket to be delivered to my 93 year old father in California. I thought it would be hard to pay for it, but it wasn't, Paypal worked well.
Also, my fault but I gave the wrong address but right zip code and I got a call from Customer Service to try and put it right and deliver the basket by Christmas Eve. Guess what?! It worked and the basket arrived, along with a lovely doggy treat for his houseguard dog. Immaculate customer service and I can't thank you enough!

Very disappointing experience

The delivery was delayed due to an error from the company, and even after acknowledging this, they asked me to contact UPS myself to try to fix the situation. I also received conflicting information in different emails, which made the process confusing and stressful.

For a company that claims to provide a “100% Satisfaction Guarantee,” I expected much better customer support and responsibility.

I hope they improve their internal processes so customers don’t have to deal with issues created by the company itself.

Tried Twice To Order. I Do Not Trust Their Ordering System Or Them

I tried twice to order from this company, both times I had the same terrible experience and poor/suspicious customer support.
First time was in April when I ordered a basket for Mother's Day. Shipping is 5-8 business days, so I made sure to order far in advance. I got an email (which I didn't see for a week) saying there was a problem with my order and they needed to confirm who I was and to call them. I called and they started wanting me to give my credit card number to them. Since I had paid using GPay, I wasn't willing to give them a credit card number over the phone. They had already cancelled and refunded my order (and it was too late to arrive in time for Mother's Day anyway) so I checked my card to make sure the refund had been applied and I went elsewhere to order a Mother's Day gift that could arrive in time.
Five months later, I thought I would try to order again for my mom's birthday, and I allowed extra time for the slow delivery and potential issues. This time, I checked my email more regularly and sure enough, the day after I placed my order, they had sent an email saying I needed to call to provide additional information. BUT, they also sent another email saying my order had been processed and shipped and they provided the tracking number. AND they sent yet another email saying my order had been cancelled and refunded. All this happened in less than 24 hours from my initial order. I called them and this time they verified who I was without asking for the credit card number. They started giving suspicious and vague reasons for why my order had needed verification and why it had been cancelled. They said I could place the order again online or they could do it right then through the phone. I again checked my card to verify that the charge had been returned and I hung up.
Not sure exactly what their issues are or what their scam is, but I've tried twice to order and I won't try again. I found another place to order a gift basket who will take my payment without suspicious or scammy behavior.

Do not order from this company …

Ordered a meat and cheeses assortment to be sent to the recipient a day before the funeral. I paid for expedited delivery. While the site said it would be delivered in time, the day of delivery they changed it to 3 days after the funeral. When I called they apologized and offered a discount. Not acceptable for what I intended and I paid for. The gift arrived today warm. Horrible experience and would not recommend using this company ever again.

Terrible service

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this company. I ordered two days ago and paid a ridiculously steep price for shipping to get it there as soon as posssible. Supposedly, it was out for delivery at 10:30 am. It’s now 3:30 and saying by 7. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable for a $100 order of snacks and over $20 shipping. Do not use this company!

No-Call, No-Show...

I ordered a gift basket to welcome a new member to our organization and was not informed that the Gift Basket hadn't arrived on-time after the person told me they didn't receive it. SMH...Look elsewhere for your gift.

Very disappointing.…

I realized later that same day the basket is coming to my address. I tried to change it since it only been ordered that morning but they said they couldn't but gave me a $24 credit off of an $99 order. I opened Ito see what it was since it came to me. Nothing inside said get well soon. All items are small, customer service is bad. Don't order from them. Use Harry and David or some other company!!!!!!!!

Absolutely Awful

Absolutely Awful! Never again!
Paid extra for next day dilivery, then get an email telling me they wont sent it for at least 5 business days. When i called they said they would only be able to give me 20%, then 30%. Kept going back and forth on the price. Then tell me the order cost $40 on their end, when online it cost $68. They only wanted to give me 50% percent of the $40. I kept telling them the total order was 84.28 with the $18 for next day dilivery and they only want to give me $19??? They didnt even undertsand what they were saying at one point. You're charging people $68 online for flowers and bottle of wine, but apparently on your end its only $40?? Does that make sence?! Why not give the customers back what you can't fulfil on your end? All i was asking back was the price of same day dilivery and you ended up loosing the complete total.

Horrible customer service, do not recommend

I ordered a thank-you gift for someone who had done me a favor. Placed my order on 3/5/25, didn't think any more about it.

Today (3/23/25) I looked to see when my gift had been delivered, only to find it had not been delivered and my money had been refunded. I called their customer service to ask why, and they told me my order had been "randomly flagged" to "protect me" because they needed to verify something or other.

I placed my order online. I paid via PayPal. They had my name, my recipient's name, and my money. They did not need to "verify" anything at all. Once I have completed my order, I don't expect to have to speak with them again.

They emailed me asking me to call them, but I didn't see the email - and if I had wanted to place an order by phone, I would've done that.

They expected me to re-order through them. No way, never again.

This is very embarrassing, since I had told the recipient to look for something the week of 3/10, which never arrived.

I do not recommend this business. I will certainly never order from them again.
