The whole team with installation lead, Kane, did a terrific job in 34 degree days and went the extra mile to make the install as smooth as possible. Great job.

Excellent experience! Karl and Kai did an amazing job on the windows, we are so pleased with them! They were extremely diligent throughout the process, and kept us informed and in the loop on progress, they were always on time, kept the place clean and tidy, and regularly checked in to make sure we were happy! Would definitely go back to this team for any future window or door needs!

I had Steve come over from Solidor with Rob from GHI windows as I had an issue that progressively got worse over a 2 year period. My Solidor front door was sticking to the point in winter was nearly impossible to open. Rob was exceptional. Together with Steve from Solidor they acknowledged the issue and proceeded to perform an adjustment to the frame surround that brung the door back into tolerance and fixed the issue. The door opens and closes perfectly, it’s smooth and the bolt action is perfect. This will have to be monitored over the colder months as tolerances can change but I am very pleased with the outcome. Initially good.

But i am currently in dispute with the company and have to escalate it to FENSA, who are relatively toothless.

Basically
- GHI installed windows that are not compliant with building regs (FENSA regulate that)
- further, my belief is that they did not install them correctly (as evidenced by the company changing how one of the windows was installed using various additional membranes) and so there is thermal bridging, which creates cold METAL frames, cools the room, creates the conditions for condensation and so it goes on.

You pay for the initial survey but the survey does not take into account the brick/block/timber construction the window has to be installed to. None of that is covered on the 'survey' report

the team that installed the windows claimed to be subcontractors rather than employees (the guys were perfectly pleasant but didn't install properly in my opinion)

GHR fitted new fascia soffit and Gutters The two work men were very profressional I the way they carried out the work.when the work was complete it was excellent I would recommend the company.

Tony and Jordan the fitters did an excellent job of fitting a new composite door, french doors and back door.
The standard of service was brilliant. I can not praise them enough for doing a fantastic job.
I have since placed an order to have 6 windows done and have asked for Tony and Jordan to be the ones to fit them

I just wanted to say how pleased we are with our new front door. We initially had it installed at the beginning of July, but had a couple of issues. Ben came out to resolve these issues, which he did extremely well. He is a credit to your company!

Internal door installation
Just had 7 origin internal aluminium doors fitted in one day by Kevin and Colin.
The doors are superb quality and have totally transformed my ground floor.
GHI fitters were clean, tidy and completely competent.
Never really heard a word from the guys apart from thanking us for tea and biscuits.
Just got on with the job without any fuss or drama, a real pleasure to have work done stress free.
Thank you all at GHI for a really smooth and successful installation.

We were very satisfied with our recent windows installation by GHI Windows. The entire job was well-coordinated and executed from start to finish. In particular we would like to mention Phil, a friendly and knowledgeable salesman, Dave, a technical expert, who measured everything carefully, then Jake and Connor who did the installation so expertly (and cleaned everything up after them!), then Mick, (quality control) who came round to inspect the work and ask us if anything could have been done differently. And not forgetting Shelly at the office who co-ordinated everything and kept us up to date. Many thanks to all of you!

Despite having confirmed our installation date THREE times by email, the day before the fitting was due to start GHI claimed it had no record of us confirming the dates. I’d arranged to be at home for the agreed dates but there has been no apology or offer to put matters right.
I definitely would not recommend this company as there is clearly something amiss.

I have used GHI windows a few times now. The standard of the products looks stunning in my property. i had 5 Rehau windows installed. I had 1 small issues a scratch on a handle and they was round within 24h and replaced it. I cannot thank the GHI team enough.

Just had a set of bifolds fitted and can honestly say they are perfect , the fitters Connor and Jake, did a great job they kept me up to speed with the whole process and we're tidy and polite. They were very professional and I will definitely be returning for new windows in the future! Highly recommend.

Had two doors installed last summer - a composite front and UPVC back. Doors are of great quality.

However, the fitting service was shockingly poor!
At first, all seemed fine after the installation until a few days later when I spotted over an inch wide gap under the back door frame!
I called Connor who installed my doors and told him about it and I asked him to return to my property to adjust the handle on the front door (I was unable to smoothly operate the handle) and to check if there was also a gap under the front door’s frame. Connor came, adjusted the handle which was fine for a short period of time and he confirmed there was no gap under the front door frame.

Winter came and I was super cold in my house despite setting my thermostats to 23C and it was around 17C in my house all the time! Whole winter I was cold and was trying to keep warm with electric blankets and my fireplace, which was very short-lived each time.

I had to call Conner again to my property a couple of months after the installation yet again because the handle was still not working well. It required large amount of force to be pushed up so that I could lock the door.
This was second time now!

Fast forward to winter 2023: a few weeks ago I coincidentally pulled away my shoe cabinet which is in the corner by the front doors and to my horror there was a large build up of black mould on the surrounding wall as well as in the gap between my laminate floor and the door frame!!!
When I put my hand close to the door frame, I could feel draft! Also there was condensation on the laminate floor right next to the door frame.
I contacted GHI and they sent out another fitter within couple of days who confirmed that THERE WAS A GAP UNDER THE DOOR FRAME!! He also said that there is condensation because the cold air from outside meets the warm air inside and he said it is why the black mould has built up.
He removed the black mould and filled in the gap.

I also had to ask him to again adjust the door handle as it STILL wasn’t operating well and required a large amount of force to be pushed up so that the door could be locked. This was the third time for this adjustment.
This fitter did a great job sorting that out too.

Since the gap under the frame has been filled, my home is nice and toasty warm using the same thermostat temperature settings as last year and there is no draft in my property.
I contacted customer service as I wanted 10% off my bill returned to me as I was not happy paying the full price for the fitting service I received as well as wasting my personal time having to deal with their poor installation over and over again, for all the extra costs I had trying to keep warm during the 6 months of winter with outside temperatures well below ZERO, as well as the physical distress caused to me by the cold temperature at my home.

After many emails originated from “customer service” and never signed by a person’s name, I was offered measly £100(!)
When I disputed that, apparently the customer service team manager said that there is no evidence that the black mould was built up because of the gap under the door and also they doubted that my home was as cold and as drafty as I said it was just because of the gap under the front door!
Either these people have no idea about the business they are in and the consequences of a poor door fitting or they deny responsibility to avoid further financial compensation.
Either way, this is not good!!

I’ve lived in this property for 6 years this year and prior to last year when I had this new doors fitted I only had ordinary UPVC front door and I never had any black mould anywhere in my house.

I asked the customer service person to give me the name and contact details of the customer service manager as I wanted to discuss this matter further, however my email was completely ignored. When I called twice to speak with customer service, I was told by the Accounts team each time that they are busy with other customers and I should send an email.

I would not recommend this company as despite some of the 5* reviews their fitting service is clearly very much hit and miss. Their prices are not cheap and anyone employing this company will risk a poor fitting experience and issues down the line.

Good quality product and the fitting was mostly of a good standard. But some areas of making good/ finishing were disappointing and there became a lacking in customer focus.
I probably wouldn't recommend this company.

Excellent result from GHI. Sean the salesman was great. Knowledgeable and really helped us in our decisionmaking.The fitting team Aron and Mick were fabulous. Knew what they were doing and went the 'extra mile' on sorting everything out. Real pleasure to deal with this company as they did what they said they would on time. Rare these days! Thank you to all the team. Much appreciated.

GHI Windows are an amazing company employing really caring and excellent people. We had a new patio door installed in December and a new front door installed in March. Both are excellent making an enormous difference to our house. The installers Tony and Billy did an amazing job and we are delighted with the result. We are using this wonderful company to install our double glazing windows throughout the house. I would highly recommend this excellent company which I consider to be the best in the business.

Drank me out of tea, but done a great job very happy and very nice guys, office staff were also a pleasure to deal with as was the sales guy.
Can’t fault very happy customers

Positives: Sales process was well handled - pricing was realistic from the outset, and associated admin was well handled

Areas for Improvement: Opportunity to avoid misunderstandings missed at the survey phase. Unhappy with the initial fitting; in fairness to GHI they did send someone out as soon as I published pictures on my earlier Google review, and he fixed those issues that could be addressed immediately and acknowledged other issues were not as they should have been. They have agreed to send someone to fix the other issues in the next few weeks where spare parts are required.

Can't pretend that I am a happy/satisfied customer, but I am less unhappy than I would otherwise have been had the issues not been addressed promptly

Absolutely delighted with our bi-fold doors from GHI Windows. We will be going back to GHI windows in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

GHI have just finished my job today and totally transformed my home.
The workmen and the Residence 9 windows they produce are first class.
No damage to a newly decorated lounge showed me how much care these guys take.
A big thank you to all involved in the project.
