I’m sorry to hear about your experience, but I need to clarify a few important points as your comments are not accurate.
We do not generate “fake leads”. All the requests we provide come from real consumers who actively submit a quote request for a potential move. What can happen in some cases is that the customer may not respond afterward or may decide not to proceed with the move but this does not mean the initial request is fake.
Regarding cancellations, it is also not correct that you continue being charged after closing your account. You are only charged for leads that have already been delivered while your account was active. There is no ongoing commitment, no hidden obligation, and no charges after cancellation.
We understand frustration can arise when expectations around conversion are not met, but it’s important to be clear on how the model works: we provide real quote requests, not guaranteed jobs.
If the service was not delivering real value, we would not have been operating for over 10 years, with more than 6,000 active companies using the platform and thousands of consumers successfully completing their moves.
That said, we’re always open to constructive feedback, but I wanted to make sure the facts are correctly represented.

Avoid this company and GM-Movers.com (which apparently changed its name to Excellent Removals Ltd) - I strongly advise against them as well as using GM-Movers.com (now Excellent Removals Ltd).
GetAMover seems to be dispatching your details to other removal companies that are not properly vetted. I had the awful experience of being contacted by gm-movers.com through GetAMover.
Everything seemed fine at first, quick responses, and polite communication. But once they collected my items, communication stopped completely for four days. They ignored my emails and calls, and even the platform couldn’t reach them. I reported to the police as well as to Citizen Advice/ Trading Standards.
Later, they claimed my shipment weighed 60 kg more than I had measured but refused to provide proper proof, only sending a short video of a screen showing the weight. They wouldn’t deliver my belongings until I paid an extra £200, leaving me no choice.
Delivery took nearly a month, and when my items finally arrived, the boxes were wet, muddy, and damaged, with some furniture broken.
Their professionalism disappeared after collection, polite before, rude and unhelpful after. They took my belongings hostages until I pay extra money.
Dishonest, unreliable, and not worth the stress. Avoid them. They are a bunch of thieves !

Advertised as get 6 quotes in 2 minutes but actually it's taking your number and email to send to different companies. Breach of personal information description and false advertising. Had people calling me from 7am on Saturday when I just wanted to see approximate prices.

Your comments are not accurate and are, in fact, defamatory. We are not “thieves” and we do not operate in the way you are describing. If that were the case, we would not have been successfully working with thousands of companies in the removals industry for over 10 years.
Each quote request generated through the platform comes from a real consumer actively requesting estimates for a move. These leads carry a cost for the professionals receiving them, as clearly outlined in the Terms and Conditions accepted at the point of activation, after the free trial period.
In addition, every new user has the opportunity to test the service for free for one week before any charges apply, with full visibility of how the pricing model works.
We always welcome constructive feedback, but misleading statements like these do not reflect the reality of the service and are not helpful to other businesses evaluating the platform.

This is a scam
This is a scam. Got contacted by a Jolene Porter and paid £580 for the delivery for a baby grand piano which has turned out to be total fraud! The bank is now trying to get my money back. Watch out for emails from GETAMOVER and from a Jolene Porter and a Kerri Dunn. It seems they have been operating since May 2023 and no one or the banks have not yet shut this scam down!!

Without them I would not have known about TT Removals, who were horrendous. Moving is stressful and especially if you have an aggressive intimidating bullying removals service, and all thanks to Getamover. This has been updated to reply to Getamover 29th April 2026 It took you over 365 days to tell me to 'contact the company'—the same company I already told you was aggressive and intimidating. If your comparison site can’t filter out rogue movers or respond to complaints in under a year, what exactly is your service providing? Total lack of accountability and an even slower response time.
After a year of silence, this generic response is essentially a neon sign saying, 'We don’t actually read these, but our SEO manager told us we need to improve our response rate.'
Fortunately, unlike your customer service department, I have actually managed to move on from that miserable encounter. I suggest you do the same—perhaps start by updating your response templates to something faster than 'once per leap year.
