We had an outstanding experience with Garratt’s Damp and Timber. Their communication was quick, clear and incredibly helpful - they went above and beyond to answer all questions from us. The survey they did was detailed and thorough with excellent advice. I could not recommend them highly enough!

My company has used Garratts before and asked me to contact them with a property we own with issues. Initial phone call was quick and professional and an appointment arranged immediately. Chris from Garratts met me onsite and was extremely thorough and carried out a detailed survey. The report that was sent through was very clear to understand by the untrained eye and accurately detailed what was wrong and what needed to be done to rectify the issue. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Was recommended to this family run company by an estate agent. He said they had integrity and honesty. They didn’t have an appointment for a few days as was fully booked. They were very patient when I phoned (regularly) for an earlier appointment. The survey was carried out and and was clear, easy to understand and very informative. The surveyor called to discuss results too. She was patient and clear and helped me understand. It was so refreshing to deal with people that listened, understood and were helpful. A rare event now and I will use them for the follow up work as I trusted their assessment. Highly recommend them and wish they could solve other problems for me! I’m fed up with companies who do not give customer service so you will be happy to deal with them.

This company is very local to me and had been recommended by a fiend. The work was over two days with an additional half day for replacing the skirting boards. I was very well informed on what was involved and so there were no surprises. The workmanship was excellent. Their employees arrived on time , answered any questions I had and were meticulous in tidying up. Overall I am very pleased

A very professional company, whose pricing was significantly lower than other quotes I received. They were extremely flexible in terms of timings as unexpected issues arose in other areas of the house, and they were able to accommodate with patience, helpfulness, and willingness. I am very happy with the work.

We used Garratts to damp-proof a basement laundry room in a former coal hole, which had been previously been treated but had water damage coming through the walls. It's been three months now and their treatment is holding up well, though it's probably too soon to be sure about the durability of the treatment. But what I appreciate so far was that their diagnosis seemed to show they knew what they were talking about. The options they presented us were straight-forward, and rather then playing the game of giving a lowball fee which ends up ballooning higher, the all-in cost was as originally quoted. Finally they completed the work while were were out of town, on time.

I had Garratts do extensive damp proof work on my central London 19th century basement flat which included tanking a room and installing several damp proof courses. I was impressed by all aspects of their service, from the comprehensive initial survey, to the professional and efficient implementation of the work. It was all done to schedule and to the agreed budget and the guys who did the project clearly knew what they were doing. I am very happy with the outcome.

Had a couple of water ingress issues - service from Tom and team was outstanding from service to completion. Felt that I was being given impartial advice v others and given options on how to address. Would definitely recommend.
