The course and assignments were highly engaging, enriching, and genuinely enjoyable throughout. It has been a very rewarding experience for me.

It was quite demanding, as I was working at the same time as an engineer in a large company, but studying from home, along with perseverance and consistency, allowed me to keep up with the pace. I had set myself the goal of completing one course and one assignment per month over 10 months in order to obtain the diploma.

The teaching team is present and responsive when it comes to answering questions, and the lessons are very clear and well designed. I was looking for a professional qualification that would add real value to my CV, and I found exactly what I was looking for.

I am really enjoying the course. I love it that I can spend as much time as I need to study and do my assignments. There is a vast amount of information which I personally like. O was just a little surprised about sketching and actually having artistic skills to get good grades. Overall I am excited to learn more.

I highly recommend Garden design academy to anyone interested in garden design.

I highly recommend studying at the garden design academy! I'm still at the beginning, but so far the experience has been fantastic! The tutors are always available to answer questions and recommend books for those who want to learn more about a subject! I also found the prices very affordable.

I joined the diploma in garden design home study course and I am half the way there. It covers a wide range of topics from history of gardens to learning to draw garden plans. Drawings I found it difficult at first, but have improved a lot. Tutor support deserves special mention as well as an excellent online library with very good resources. Great online option for those looking for home study in garden design.

I’m really enjoying the project work - it was difficult to begin with as I’d never done art or tech drawing. However I got a tech drawing book from one of my kids school days & practiced some stuff but I’m a long way from being proficient. I must practice my colouring technique also. My phone is filling up with garden pictures & im picking up lots of ideas re layout & colour.
Always good to know my tutor is there to advise me / help when needed so don’t feel like I have to muddle on.

I recently completed the Garden Design Academy's online course and couldn't be more thrilled with the experience! Firstly, the course content was incredibly comprehensive. From the fundamentals of garden design principles to the finer details of plant selection and maintenance, every aspect was covered in depth. The course included valuable business and marketing lessons. These sessions will equip you with the necessary knowledge to start your garden design business. The assignments were well-structured and easy to follow, allowing me to progress at my own pace while still feeling challenged. The tutor was exceptional, offering valuable insights and support throughout. Whether a beginner or an experienced gardener, this course is a must-try!

I enrolled in a Diploma course with the Garden Design Academy, in hindsight at the wrong time for me personally, and found myself reaching the end date without having started. I was very stressed and decided to ring to see what options I might have. Luckily for me Alastair Strong was on duty and he calmed me, reassured me and gave me very, very helpful advice. He was extremely kind and helpful and because of that I am going to continue to do the course. Doing the course while working full time, was a hard thing to do. The staff are helpful, and I think the course is pretty affordable to most people.

My advice is, if you are starting this course or plan to start this course, I highly recommend that you invest in AutoCAD LT and maybe BIM introductory courses (lots of online classes available out there that you can take, that only last a couple weekends) specially if you feel intimidated by working with Design Software, it will help you immensely. It will make your work look super crisp and very easy to read!

Update:
I want to warn everyone of the dangers of being told to do internships without renumeration. My point is, if you choose to go ahead with an internship (which is optional), be warned that you have the right to be paid! Unpaid internships are a criminal offense in Ireland. Do your research! Do not let employers take advantage of you because you are inexperienced! Just my two cents.

The Garden Design Academy of Ireland Post Grad Diploma in Garden Design is an excellent course. I found the materials and resources available on line comprehensive, easy to use and covered all topics. The in-person classroom lectures in UCD were excellent and our lecturer was really knowledgable and provided great support and was able to answer all questions. The responsiveness and support from the administration team has always been professional and helpful. My one area for consideration is that the use of Sketchup is challenging if you don't have any design software experience and you need to work through this on your own. I would recommend to those with an interest in Garden Design and who want to be able to run or manage a business.

After building houses and laying paving for over twenty years and looking to branch out this online diploma course is helping me to learn new and exciting skills in the aspect of garden design .Tutor Ines cleary has great knowledge behind her and im looking forward to advancing my skills with her help. I would highly recommend this course .

It’s such a wonderful journey learning with the Garden Design Academy! I do enjoy the course they provide.
The course is full of useful knowledge and also quite practical. After taking this course, I know how to get a real garden built from a bubble plan. Now I can design my own garden beautifully and scientifically.
One more I want to say that are the tutors. They are so responsible for each assignment I submitted. They give me lots of helpful feedbacks. And they are very professional!
