This guy is an absolute rip off… Previously ART Garage. Wayne Papworth will tell you your car is beyond economical repair… Buy it off you for peanuts and then sell it on after bodging a repair that could have been done and kept a perfectly decent car on the road and in your possession. The amount of mechanics he goes through is astonishing. Treats people like absolute rubbish and the things he says about his customers is disgusting. Even as far as stating he could “turn a lesbian customer straight, if he just had 5 minutes with her alone” Grim.

Overpricing jobs and I know garages put a mark up on parts but this guys takes the absolute biscuit! He’s a predator and a shameful business man who doesn’t actually hold any qualification in mechanics so if he doesn’t have a level 2 qualified mechanic on site shouldn’t actually open the doors for business!

I've no knowledge of basis of the vigorous campaign against Garage 99 and it's proprietor personally.
My business with Garage 99 has been major bodywork restoration of a 1998 Peugeot camper van, followed by under-body work on a 2000 Nissan Micra. All this work was completed to an admirable standard, with photographic confirmation of progress stage by stage. Additionally some mechanical defects were fixed (the Peugeot had been flooded to 1 meter in Greece) which have baffled other reputable old-motor specialists. Years have been added to the life of both these two low-mileage old vehicles. Good work also on a like-new 2007 Honda Legend. Whilst this review is dated 11 Mar 2024, the work reported was undertaken between September 2023 and January 2025. I rate the proprietor a deeply experienced practical vehicle engineer of high calibre - and properly 'grumpy' (!), as are the best of his kind.
Highly recommended.

James , your review on garage 99 just made it worse for Wayne, facts are, Am sure you used to work for Wayne 12 months or more ago, anyway you're calulasion of 99.5% success rate doesn't make sense mathematically.Looks as if you took the word garage 99 minus the word garage = 99 + .5% = 99.5% that's not maths James. Your comment on the BAD REVIEWS, firstly seven people loosing their jobs causing serve hardship to their family, You're lieing and you know you are James, Wayne Papworth has never had seven people working for him at the same time ever, if he has the INLAND REVENUE where not aware Wayne's tax returns never state employing seven people he declares zero employees!! James, nobody targeted Wayne while on vacation, Wayne removed the sign advertising the garage and when asked he said he has closed the business down, that's what Wayne did while on vacation because I rang him and that's what he told me.As for the 2 ring leaders I sermize iam one of them as for the the other one who you say claims has disabled children insinuating they don't is Heartless and Disgusting if she has children with a disability James, anyway back to Wayne all of a sudden he puts up new sign garage 99 his new limited company, T and J commercial limited, and Papworth group limited.Which he registered on companies house November 2024 all three new companies!! Looks like Wayne papworth decided to close art garage down in November 2024 owing another 32,000 to creditors from 2023 till 2024 , art garage opened 2020 on companies house so James using your figures 7500 customers devided 48 months equals 1875 customers per year give and take you would expect to earn more than just over 2,500 net profit in twelve months that's what Wayne financial statement says for 2023. Don't think your review has really helped Mr Papworth you have just helped to expose him for what he really is a Rogue Trader, How could four reviews bring down such a well established garage according to your review. The owners of the garage were Targeted by a group online that set about a hate campaign / Trolling by excessive amount to destroy a reputation.

The facts are as follow yes Wayne was at art garage but in the time it was open it serviced over 7500 customers now like all garages not every job goes to plan but that said if you look at the supposed bad complaints its less than 10 and if you do the maths it gives art / Wayne papworth a 99.5% success rate
So for all the he’s not a mechanic he had more work in than most other garages and has a loyal following.
It’s Called Garage 99 as he gets it right 99% of the time so that put his services in the top selection of garages as if you look at any garage in uk they all have some bad reviews.

So guys if you read the 4 supposed bad reviews they have been compiled through hate.
The only thing the people did when they chose target Wayne at. ART garage ( whilst he was closed for 2 weeks vacation ) that they knew he was away !!!!!
They caused a good business to close and resulted in 7 people loosing their jobs that caused them and their families serve hard ship.
The 2 ring leaders of the Hate campaign one whom claims to have disabled children that suffered hardship because of Wayne found it ok to target him and his family and cause hardship to others so actually she clearly has no morals because she didn’t think of others as she just pursued her targets hate campaign and given she is also an admin for multiple facebook groups she has used facebook to cause hardship and suffering.
So make you own choice if you use Garage 99n or not

What i can say is Wayne has an established list of customers who still use wayne and have done for many years.

you search for ART garage on remer street (on Facebook) have brought to light over 30 people that have been scammed out of thousands by the owner (who isn't even a mechanic!)
He has after many court cases, closed up the company and now rebranded and re-opened in hope to scam more people out of thousands .
A HUGE WARNING that he's back at it and clearly made enough money out for people's mis fortune that he's starting back up again!!

His trick is to charge over the odds for work that isn't even needed and will take cars apart when questioned and his bully tactics to

Wayne, you have taken that much money off people of Crewe, you really expect that it's ok to rebrand and start again at your old tricks.. you aren't even a mechanic! I don't know how you sleep at night.

Unbelievable that this company once called A.R.T GARAGE ltd, is now masquerading as Garage 99 check companies house to view all files on a.r.t. Garage financial statement 2023 owed creditors total of around £32,000 financial statement for 2024 total amount owed to creditors now over £64,000 .company Director Wayne Papworth appears to have once again scammed thousands of pounds from people hiding behind a limited company name, to now rename garage as Garage 99 plus open up to new Limited companies Papworth Group Limited plus T and J Commercial Limited Mr Papworth scams customers on a daily basis without a second thought.He is what's called a Jack of all Trades and a master of none , self proclaimed motor mechanic but unqualified holds no city & Guilds Qualifications or Deplomers in Motor vehicle technology with his name on them, people needing any Vehicle repairs AVOID GARAGE 99 GARAGE ADDRESS IS IN REMER STREET CREWE ( Mr Papworth was informed Febuary of 2023 to remove from all of his recovery vehicle's the Company name Auto recovery and towing uk Limited as that Company Name was now registered to my Daughter as she was the Director of the new Limited company called Auto Recovery & Towing UK LIMITED Mr Papworth did remove the Company name Auto recovery and towing from any vehicles with it on in 2024 when he was informed Legal Action would be taken against him with in Twenty One Days ) He should not be allowed to trade or be a Director of a company ever in my opinion.

This is ART garage just rebranded guys so if you want to find their true reviews search ART garage and you will see why this garage closed down due to scamming customers when providing quotes and not fixing people's vehicles also putting extra work on the quotes that didn't need doing.. be very careful guys this garage will rob you and not fix your car..
