GAIL's Bakery - Soho Recensioni 3

Their shop/bakery in Soho has a nice view from the outside, but once you step inside, it is completely the opposite (the atmosphere). I took my mother and a friend who came to visit London for the day yesterday, and we spent around £20 to £25 there because I wanted them to have a lovely time in London. Unfortunately, the staff were very unpleasant, and the food wasn’t the best either.

The coffee was so hot that it took my mother 45 minutes to finish it. You could tell the barista did that on purpose, as he seemed unhappy to be working there, judging by his unfriendly expression. I wish I could get my money back, or at least be invited back for a better experience.

Quite disappointing!

Just spent £4.40 on oat flat white.. seriously gail, so overpriced, wont be seeing you again. Id like to point out the quality wasnt great, definitely not worth the money, I work in soho and go to speciality coffees around with trained baristas and the coffee in places like these are superioir in taste preperation and wuality and they go for £3.50. Gails clearly went on a mission to rip us off, avoid

Bought a few bags of granola (for a gift!) and later found out one of them was expiring in 2 days (others were expiring in a few weeks).
Was disappointed and emailed customer services only to be told that its my job to review the expiry date - this is fair but their response was very appalling.
Most retailers/cafes will at least apologise or even offer discounts for such a situation. Granolas are not fresh products that only last for 2 days!

Looks like this bakery doesn't care and only wants to make money from a stupid customer like me :(
Was expecting better but I guess there are many other cafes in London...
