Dirty tables … poor value

We were surprised that we could not find a clean table to sit down at. All free tables were occupied by dirty crockery and a mess. Nowhere to take things to and nothing to clean tables with. Atmosphere totally lacking … coffee good but cold … prices very high. We used to love going to Gail’s in Barnes and thought we could repeat this experience … sadly NO!! Surely going around clearing tables with a cloth and sanitizer is not the most difficult thing to do? There were lots of staff …

Godalming branch manageress

Godalming branch manageress is consistently miserable and hard work. Rest of the staff are consistently friendly - she should learn from them!
Tried a croissant - had not been allowed to prove correctly, with the result that the thick base was just doughy, and the centre was a large hole.
Tried a coffee - poor flavour - Nero's and Costa are much better.
Why do people keep using this shop?
