I visited the Battersea Square shop this morning and ordered a takeaway decaffeinated mocha. My order was repeated back to me so there was no miscommunication or misunderstanding. Unfortunately, after drinking it, and well after I’d left the area, I became aware I’d been given a regular caffeinated one instead. I’ve visited various other Gail’s shops and this mistake has never been made before. I have a severe intolerance to caffeine and I’ve been suffering for a few hours now. My symptoms will eventually pass later today and on the scale of things its not a major catastrophe but safe to say I won’t be going to Gail’s again as this is a pretty unpleasant experience for people like me who suffer with this intolerance.
Update: I have got in touch as requested and await your response.

I’m a daily customer at Gail’s, but it was my first visit to the Battersea Square branch — and unfortunately, it was very disappointing. Around 9:30 a.m., with only one other customer there, I still waited quite a while for my coffee. When it was finally ready, the barista placed it on an unstable metallic shelf instead of directly on the counter.
As I reached for it, I lightly touched the shelf, and the shake caused the hot coffee to spill on my hands. I asked for help, but the barista took her time while I stood there with coffee-covered hands, dripping on my brand-new shoes. No apology, no offer to top up or replace the drink.
One of the worst service experiences I’ve had. Won’t return to this branch.

I’m addition to the above, I raised a complaint last year about one of their staff who was rude… they have the details of the incident, and I didn’t receive a response.
Well, I’ve sent them an email just now and it will be interesting to see if they respond. It’s a shame I’ve had to resort to social media to try and get them to respond.

We love Gail's cakes and buns as a family and most of the time shops on Kings Road near us and on Battersea Square have polite staff but today I was amazed at how hard the young white female staff tried to avoid serving me after letting me wait in a short queue. She even let an elderly white English lady jump the queue of two people (a white gentleman and me) so easily. I am a Japanese living in London for 35 years. Over the years I have experienced obvious racism against the Asian but this was one of the first ones in Gail's.
I became totally invisible to her as she avoided any eye contact and I could feel she was happy to serve others by deliberately letting the other English customer jump the queue and spent lots of time chatting with another white customer. I didn't look muddling about my order as I knew what to buy before I entered the shop. I left the shop empty-handed. I am not so bothered by racism after 35 years in London but this experience was a shock since she is such a young person. A shame.

Issue with collecting stamp at battersea. On 27/12 I asked the male staff to check my purchase had been updated on the app he said it updates in 20 mins but it didn’t log my Mocha I bought.
I have just walked out of Gail's on Battersea square where I would consider myself a regular. I like there products and have a number of favourites. It may be over priced but generally very tasty with pleasant service.
However, I ordered a Pastrami Bagel and a cut of tea and asked to have the Bagal cup in half. Half to eat now and half to go. I am unwell and am struggling to eat after two weeks in hospital.
I was told it is not possible to cut a sandwich in half. I complained. After speaking to three different staff members who knows if one was a manager. It was absolutely not possible to cut my Bagel. What is wrong with the world today. I am a restauranteur is this beyond their realm of guest service at 15.30Pm and only three other seated guests.
I am flabbergasted. I will not return. I would love for somebody at head office to explain. Regards Paul
