Thanks for your feedback. The Gaia shower filter is made from aluminium rather than plastic, so naturally it is heavier than many of the cheaper, lightweight filters on the market.
It’s designed to be installed directly onto a fixed shower pipe or shower arm, where the weight is supported and shouldn’t cause an issue when fitted correctly.
We chose aluminium intentionally for its quality, durability and premium finish. If having the lightest possible filter is your priority, then a plastic shower filter may simply be a better fit for you.

The product was too heavy for my shower…
The product was too heavy for my shower and eventually would not stay in position at all. My shower itself also stopped working after approximately 1 month of use. My Plumber said that he had come across this problem before when filters have caused the shower to resets. I believe more explanation is required form the company to explain potential issues or make a statement that a filter such as this cannot possibly cause issues with showers.

The Gaia shower filter is designed to be installed directly onto a fixed shower pipe or shower arm, as shown in our installation instructions. When installed correctly, the filter is supported by the fixed fitting, so its weight should not cause the shower head to fall out of position.
In relation to your shower no longer working, this isn’t an issue we would expect from using the Gaia shower filter. There are many reasons a shower can develop a fault, so we unfortunately can’t determine from the information here what caused yours to stop working.

Gaia ok but not as good /great as hoped or as displayed by advertisements …
I bought Gaia filter as where we live the water has minerals and felt it was ruining My daughter (13) natural blonde hair. I get highlights but my hairdresser had been giving me less over the years due to the water. A lot of people recommended Gaia so I got it before Christmas. But to be honest I haven’t noticed much difference. My daughter’s hair still feels rough or like it still has product in it and still gets greasy very quick. It can have a sticky or rough feel after washing her hair and I make sure to completely wash the shampoo out and rinse it throughly. Both our hair still gets knotty and skin is still dry or itchy after showering. Maybe it takes longer than 6 months.also not sure if installed it correctly or changed the filter properly. I am a visual person so if there had been photos on the leaflet it might have helped me more. I think I was just expecting a bit more or to see a better improvement in both our hair and its texture and shine.

Excellent Customer Service
I genuinely have not experienced the level of customer care anywhere else like i did with this company.
I had an issue with an eircode an error on my end when ordering my filter. I emailed and was contacted by Lauren who supported me with fixing the error.
And the next day I had my filter.
Not only excellent customer service. But fast delivery!!!

I've been using this water filter for…
I've been using this water filter for about a month now, and I've noticed a real difference. My hair feels much smoother and softer after every wash, and it seems much easier to manage than before. One of the biggest improvements is that the unpleasant odor in the water is completely gone. Showering is much more enjoyable now because the water feels cleaner and fresher.
Overall, I'm very happy with the results. The filter has noticeably improved the quality of the water in my home, and I've already seen positive changes in my daily routine. If you're dealing with bad-smelling water or want to improve the feel of your hair and skin, I would definitely recommend giving this water filter a try.

My order problem was solved promptly and to my satisfaction.
