Dear Customer Services Manager,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding Order No. 292864.
The four-seater sofa delivered to my home has arrived with one section damaged. Photographs are attached for your review. This is extremely disappointing, particularly given the wait time for delivery.
Following your instructions, I arranged for a technician to attend my property to assess the damage. I took the day off and remained at home waiting for the scheduled visit. At approximately 3:00pm, the technician contacted me to explain that he had prior appointments in Bodmin and St Austell and would attend my address afterwards.
By 6:20pm, as he had still not arrived, I called to request an update. I was informed that he had already gone home and had cancelled my appointment without any notification. When I questioned why I had not been informed after waiting all day, he hung up the phone . I consider this highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
I entered into this purchase agreement with Furniture World, and therefore I expect your company to take full responsibility for both the damaged item and the conduct of your appointed contractor.
Please confirm, as a matter of urgency:
1. When the damaged section will be properly repaired or replaced.
2. How you intend to address the missed appointment and lack of communication.
3. What steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen again.
I expect a prompt resolution. Failing this, I will have no option but to escalate the matter further and seek advice regarding my statutory consumer rights.
I trust this can be resolved quickly and professionally, and I look forward to your response.
Or pick it and return back my money and you have to sort out a Sofa instead the one I dumped.The matter was handled quickly and professionally by the responsible employee at Truro Oliver store.

Prompt response to telephone enquiries by helpful operator. Efficient delivery service. Unfortunately had to return item as it was not suitable. Again return was promptly organised and refund given without any quibble. Would not hesitate to use this company again because of their excellent customer service

Asked about a phone call or ordering in store, another email back basically saying “order online”
They clearly don’t want your business when you’re waving a white flag trying to buy things, not everyone wants to order online. Some people like dealing with people.

We took delivery of two swivel chairs but one of the seats had a problem. A man was sent down to check it out the next day and he ordered a new seat which arrived very quickly and was perfect. I would like to compliment the staff in Truro for an excellent service in both the purchasing, delivery and sorting out a problem immediately with no hassle. It makes a change these days to have such wonderful kind service. Thank you so much.

We went to numerous shops in Cornwall and only Ian in furniture world Truro addressed my size and build in buying the correct size sofas, even guiding us away from more expensive ones that wouldn’t suit, took his time with no pressure and so we went back and bought, great selection of products here, well worth the visit

I placed and order for a LHF sofa from the first inquiry on the website i spoke from Matt from start to finish . I can’t praise him enough his communication skills are 10/10 .
Received my sofa exactly what I wanted only to find I placed the order for the wrong corner sofa I needed RHF . Matt spoke with Ruth in head office who has authorized a replacement (correct ) sofa to be ordered not many companies would do this . They totally go above and beyond . After purchasing a table and chairs a few weeks ago I had a problem extending the table. I telephoned the Truro shop and Ollie was very helpful and when the problem couldn’t be solved over the phone he came to my address within half an hour it was all sorted. Great service.

First class service from Matt in the Truro store. He was so knowledgeable and helpful, not the least bit pushy or spouting sales hype. We shopped around for our bed purchase and we decided that Matt’s technical input and financial authority over price meant that spending over £5000 on a bed from Furniture World was the way to go.
We are renewing other bedroom furniture later in the year and will go back to seek Matts help.

I was served by Richard Glosby from the Truro branch. He was very patient and helpful. He explained in detail and unfolded the bed settee for me to see.
He concentrated on my needs and I had his full attention.
The bed settee was ready for delivery earlier than I expected. There was a delay with my carpet fitter but when he had a cancellation and carpet was laid earlier than expected there was no problem my delivery date was brought forward with no problem.
The 2 guys that delivered it were very friendly and helpful and explained again how it worked.
Overall a perfect smooth experience.
I would definitely recommend Furniture World to my friends.

The Items we ordered, suite, dining table and six chairs were with us in our new Hampshire home within six days of purchase and before the 23rd Dec as promised!! I bought a great sofa bed from you guys but was disappointed with the delivery.
They didn't unwrap the sofa and take away the packaging plus fitting the arms onto the unit was very difficult, the sliding brackets were out of alignment which made it very awkward.
This would be impossible for elderly customers to achieve so to improve your service please take this on board.
