I have been a building inspector for 23 years and have had nothing but trouble with Freedom Wardrobes. We had approximately $40,000 worth of wardrobes installed across four separate rooms around two years ago, and the problems have continued ever since.
Once they received full payment, they sent contractors to complete the installation, and we experienced numerous issues with workmanship. Polytec has subsequently had to attend and replace all of the doors because the edge strips were peeling.
We have now had a Hettich hinge fail, and rather than taking responsibility for the issue, Freedom Wardrobes have told us to contact Hettich ourselves. This is typical of our experience — we have repeatedly been passed from one party to another rather than having Freedom Wardrobes take ownership of the problems.
We currently have a wardrobe door without a hinge, which presents an obvious safety concern.
After more than two years, the works are still incomplete. For a company that has received payment in full, I find the lack of accountability and responsibility extremely disappointing.
Our next step is NCAT.

Freedom seem to have only put one coat on the white wardrobes. The quality of the finish is disgraceful! Finger marks show up & they are hard to wipe clean. Trying to communicate with them is terrible after they have taken my money. All I can say is put in a complaint to Fair Trading if you are experiencing the same.
