Overall good experience

The first frame I received arrived damaged, but the customer service was very responsive. I emailed photos and followed up with a call, and they arranged a replacement within 2–3 days, which I appreciated. Overall, a positive experience. For the price, the quality is decent: it’s not the sturdiest frame, but the made to measure option, especially for larger sizes, is a definite plus.

I used this website recently for the first time and I’m very pleased with the frame I chose and for the customer service I received. The website is clear and specific about what you need to detail to get the expected outcome.
I was unsure about what accessories I might need so phoned and spoke to a very helpful lady who kept me right. I then ordered and received my frame sooner than I expected and it’s perfect. Thank you!

I was disappointed with the quality of…

I was disappointed with the quality of the frame, it's not what I would expect for the price. Nothing inherently wrong with it and it looks ok but it feels cheap and flimsy. I'll go to my local picture framer next time.

Excellent company. Excellent products

I have ordered many custom frames from this company and all have arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I measured the pictures as per their instructions online and the frames were the correct size. Excellent small company who I shall continue to support with my orders.

Contrary to negative reviews...

Contrary to reviews I've read on here, I've had zero issues with the frame I ordered. Specifically I ordered a deep set white frame with a black background and a clear acrylic sheet for the front. Everything came exactly to the sizes I specified, which was easy to work out given the clear instructions on each section describing exactly what information I needed to provide.
I'm noticing many negative reviews about frame sizing and customer service, but it seems like these are mostly people who simply don't understand what it is they're ordering or how to follow instructions. You'll get what you order, no more, no less.
I'd order from here again without a doubt. The construction is fine, everything is solid enough and it looks as id have expected. You could argue the price is on the steeper side but who am I to judge the manufacturing costs Vs profits.

Perfect company for specialist pinball backglass light frames

Great business! I wanted a pinball backglass framed into a lightbox and contacted the company situated close to Blackpool by phone. This was the first company even interested in the project. What I received in the end was a perfect bespoke solution in super quick time at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this business.

NOT EVEN ONE STAR, HAD CHOOSE A RATING TO POST!!!!
Quality of the the frame supplied was way below the standard I expected for the cost, not only was the quality an issue but it was made to the wrong dimensions.
I emailed the company for a response to my issues and received no reply, in the end I had to phone the company only to be told that no refund, no replacement, no apology. DO NOT USE!!!!

I’ve seen and read the long winded reply from the company, but the truth is generally a lot more simple and summed up in a couple of paragraphs. See my assessment above. DO NOT USE, TERRIBLE QUALITY, SERVICE & CUSTOMER RELATIONS!!!!

Thank you for another review, however this is not a genuine review of the full situation, there was no mention the customer was unhappy with the quality of the frame; he had ordered the wrong size and wanted a replacement or a refund. If we had sent the wrong size frame we would have sent a replacement, however this was not our error the customer ordered in correctly. When ordering a frame online we ask enter the size of your picture and if selecting a mount, these measurements are added onto the image sizes you enter to make the overall frame bigger to fit both image and mount sizes, this customer received what he had ordered, however he had entered the wrong sizes and claims the website does not make it clear regarding the sizes he needed to enter. The customer did email us yesterday; “Not at all impressed with your service at all, I asked for the frame to made internal sizes @ 312mm x 469mm and the mount to provide a 25mm boarder to the internal sizes. Your website does not explain that the you will manufacture the internal size of the mount to the given dimensions. I would either like a full refund or the frame to be made as requested” We did reply to his email yesterday and offered a solution however he claims we have not replied and telephoned this morning swearing at us before hanging up We are very clear about the measurements you need to order online because it is not in our interest to mislead customers. We send out thousands of custom made frames and have a lot of happy new and repeat customers who have successfully ordered their frames on our website. Throughout the process of ordering your frame there is an information section above where you enter your sizes which states; ‘Enter your exact images size below. If your image is already mounted measure the exact size edge to edge of your mounted picture. The size relates to what fits in the frame e.g. the acrylic and backing board and not the visible area. If you are ordering a frame with a mount you still need to enter the exact size of your image then select the mount setup option. Mount sizes selected below will be added onto the images sizes (will the exception of a 2.5mm overlap) making the frame bigger to fit image and mount sizes. Minimum image sizes: 80 x 80mm. Maximum Frame Size: 1000 x 1220mm’ and also one when ordering a mount stating; ‘If you would like a mount on your picture measure the exact picture size and enter the measurements at the top of the frame designer page, the mount sizes selected here in this option are added onto your original measurements, making the frame bigger to include the mount. We will automatically reduce the images sizes entered above by approximately 5mm to ensure that your picture does not fall through the aperture of the mount’ If you do not see the pop up then there is also text which is visible without having to hover over/see a pop up which states what measurements you need to enter. ‘Enter the exact size of your Image’ and for the mount stage it states ‘Mount sizes are added onto the image sizes added above, however we automatically reduce the image size by 5mm to allow the mount to overlap the image slightly’ If you are still unclear about what measurements you need to enter there is a full page on the website 'how to measure' which gives an in depth description of the sizes you need to enter or alternatively you can contact us prior to ordering and we will help you with the measurements. The frame he ordered was custom made to the sizes he entered, we cannot accept returns/refunds on custom products, this is not the be awkward but simply that the materials are ordered in specifically for each individual and custom made to their specification, it is not a standard product that can be re sold

Faulty item and TERRIBLE communication afterwards.

MY FULL COMPLAINT

I am writing this email to illustrate the narrative of contact and engagement I have made to your company since less than a week after receiving the order.

We received the order at the end of April 2023.
I sent an email from @gmail.com on 02/05/23 stating the complaint with pictures, but it went unanswered.
I sent another email on 02/06/23, forwarding the complaint that went unanswered, again this email went unanswered.
I sent another forwarding email of the original complaint of 02/05 on 27/06/2023.
I made several calls to the office during this period.

Unfortunately my 30 year old sister passed away on 14th July 2023, so I can send the death certification for evidence.

I then sent a further email on 22/09 asking for a call re the complaint.
You subsequently called, and offered me a replacement without mention of sending the item back, you then asked if I could send pictures, (pictures I must add that I had already included in my email on 02/05/23), I did this and now you are refusing to issue refund or replacement, until you have the damaged item back to you. You of course have stated you will not pay to send and package the item and this is down to me.
I know you spoke of replying to the email, and haven't heard back since 6 months, but as you will know at the time of having this conversation I have no record of this email, and no emails are deleted in my mailbox, additionally I have offered you to forward me your response but you can't provide this, I therefore can only conclude without the necessary email sent as evidence that this email was never sent.

I find this whole experience unacceptable and a complete lack of care and respect for me as a customer.
I will now forward you the emails spoken of above this paragraph for your consideration.

THE RESPONSE ... Poor grammar, not professional and again doesnt address the point that the company cannot evidence sending a response, as no response was ever received to me, and they know this!

We are going round in circles here, I definately replied to the email dated 2/6 and other than the phone call you made a few weeks ago we have not had any conversation with you regarding the matter.



I definately replied to your email, maybe it went to your junk mail, but as I said we thought you didn’t want to take the matter further as we have not any further communication from you therefore all emails are regularly deleted once they have been dealt with, surely if you thought we had not replied you would have emailed again much sooner.

As a small company it is not in our nature to ignore emails/ phone calls we would much rather resolve any issue quickly. Despite you having the frame 6 months and been well outside cut off time to repair/replace the frame we did offer to look at the frame and it if was scratched not just the grain of the wood we did offer to replace it, we did put a time limit on this offer of the 2nd of October so that we could resolve the issue and close the promptly.

Points.
Original complaint was sent 5 days after receiving item; no response.

After failure to correspond back, I stated I would leave negative review due to the lack of care, no refund was spoken of by myself.

The reason why id say they didn’t want to respond because within the days I complained, by law the company had to issue a refund, but they delayed this to stop the refund.

AND finally I wouldn’t return the item until the company paid the postage, as it’s a large item which they refused.

AVOID.

Thank you for sharing your complaint. This customer did state he would leave a bad review if he was not refunded. We will not be forced into issuing a refund by threat of leaving a bad review and certainly when the frame has not been returned to us. We have thousands of happy repeat customers however because we do not pay trust pilot it is very rare for these customers to leave a review.

Depsite the above review, we did reply to the email and the only phone conversation was when he rung us 6 months after receiving the frame. Since we had no reply from our earlier email we thought he did not want to take the matter further. We do not keep all emails sent and received after they have been dealt with.
The 1st email he sent made it sound like he did not want to take the matter futher as he stated
'To be clear I don’t really want to send back the item as I am about to go away with work but I just want to let you know what condition I have received'
The picture he sent had the protective layer still on the acrylic and the 'scratch' on the frame looked more like the grain of the wood but regardless of this we did offer to look at the frame and replace if necessary but we did require the frame back. Considering he had the frame 6 months we did not offer to pay for delivery costs back and we were not sending out an empty box by courier to him as he requested, we did say we would cover the cost of returing the frame back to him even if it was not damaged. We did ask for the frame to be returned by a certain time so that we could deal with the issue promtly and not have the matter dragging on any longer.

We have nothing to gain by not replying to emails, it is very rare we have complaints or a frame arrives damaged, but if is does we rectify the matter.

The Customer choose not to return the frame.

Wrong colour frame received

I ordered 37mm Brushed Silver Finish Flat Profile - REF: 283SIL - I emailed to query the 'colour' as it seems almost green on website. Received reply with picture - defiantly silver. Item arrived - NOT silver goldish/green - contacted them (very good response time) was told 3/4 times it was definitely silver and it depends on the light it is viewed in - and thats it! I sent a screen shot of both pictures together and was told their sample maybe a bit older and so a different colour. See my profile picture for the screen shot - their sample on the right my frame on the left!m No offer of anything!

Communication was excellent

Communication was excellent, and staff went out of their way to ensure delivery on a very tight schedule. The quality of the frames when they arrived was also excellent and I could not fault this company. I will definitely be ordering with them in the future.

Great for custom framing

Just received my frame in perfect condition. My painting fits perfectly! I was on the hunt for a very specific sized frame and so used frames r us’ custom framer maker. I received an email stating that their supplier had not delivered the specific moulding I was after, however, they were able to source another supplier and sent my frame out on expedited delivery in time for Christmas! No complaints at all from me about customer service or quality.

Helped us obtain the perfect design and size

Kate at FrameRus helped us through every stage of preparing our order for 6 very large frames, so the measurements would turn out exactly right. Communication was always rapid and clear. FrameRus were the only company we could find that could make frames as large as 1m x 1m. Many other online frame companies put a maximum of 900mm. The resulting frames were just as we wanted and the quality is very good. The packing and shipping was excellent. We will definitely use this company again.

Poor quality and lacking in customer service

Sadly I did not have a good experience at all, extremely difficult company to deal with if there is a problem. The frame was slightly out on measurements so the picture did not fit plus the backing of the frame was damaged and also poor quality of the frame, can buy better in supermarkets and Ikea. I had to email several times before I got a response, I did get a refund but still paid the cost as they would not refund the delivery costs I paid even though the frame was faulty. They offered a replacement but when it is poor quality why would you want that. Just hard to deal with and not worth the hassle.

This lady was refunded and kept the frame.
We received an email stating there was a fault with the backing board and the frame was the wrong size. We offered to replace the faulty backing board and asked for a picture to confirm the size of the frame she had received as our records stated the correct size was sent. We were sent a pictures measuring the visible area of the frame not the size of the full backing board. We explained the sizes entered onto the website relate to the backing board size not the visible area of the picture (which it clearly states on the website) and asked for a photo to show the full size of the backing board. The photos confirmed the correct size was sent for what had been ordered. By measuring the visible area of the frame it leads us to believe that the lady had ordered the wrong size frame but this could have been rectified. We asked her to confirm the size of her picture because if the picture was smaller than the frame we could have cut a mount to fit around the picture however she would not re measure the picture. The lady spent a week emailing us demanding a refund or she would leave a bad review. We offered to replace the faulty backing board, a refund for the frame excluding delivery costs and said she could keep the frame, but she was not happy with that and wanted the delivery refunding too and told us she would get her credit card company involved. Out terms and conditions (which have to be accepted before placing an order) state custom frames are not returnable and only 'standard products' can be returned will be refunded excluding delivery costs. We did not have to issue a refund as the frame was the correct size but in order to resolve the problem we did offer a refund.
Other companies selling standard products do not refund the delivery cost and in order to get a refund you have to return the item and pay for delivery back to the company however we did not ask for the frame back.
She did not have to email several times before getting a response, some of her emails were sent outside working hours and we replied during in working hours.
The frame itself was not damaged.
When our offered of a refund was accepted we issued the refund promptly and even went in on our day off to issue the refund so that the matter could be resolved quickly.

reply!!! I want my refund !!!

Clearly, the only way to get a response from this company is to right a review, I left that bad review below and finally, someone answered the phone and the lady I spoke to agreed that we would get a refund if returned, I returned the frame insured and tracked and can see it has arrived and now not getting a reply on when the refund is coming through? Could someone get back to me please and refund as agreed!!!

NO PLEASING SOME PEOPLE - FRAME RECEIVED AND REFUNDED MONDAY AS AGREED AND YET SHE WRITES ANOTHER BAD REVIEW.
This should be not be allowed for the same person to keep leaving negative reviews, as a company we do not pay trust pilot for reviews and hence if its rare for all the thousands of happy customers and repeat customers we have to leave a review. As with all companies there will always be some complaints, and it those people who like to air their views to deter other potential customers, which see has.
It was agreed with this person we would issue a refund when we received the frame back, and knowing this person likes to air her views publicly we refunded the payment as soon as we got the frame back. As with all card refunds the payment takes a few days to show in the bank.

Yesterday afternoon after getting back from the school run, there was 1 missed call, 1 voicemail message and 1 message on our google page. Prior to listening to the voicemail message to see who had called I replied the google message from this person.

The google message came at 3.38pm (although not read by us until after the school run), we replied at 3.49pm but yet at 3.57pm this customer leaves another bad review on trust pilot.

Literally no pleasing some people - she ordered a frame, we made the frame the specification, incurred no refundable costs for the materials, she didn't like it, left a nasty review, she got her refund and still comes back to trust pilot to leave another bad review.

AWFUL STAY CLEAR

I ordered three custom frames a few months ahead of when I ordered them therefore hadn’t opened them until now, I found out they sent me normal glazing when I asked for anti glare and then ‘offered’ I RE PAY for them to send out the correct ones upon requesting a PARTIAL refund I was told no because it’s been too long…horrible! Would not recommend. Update, interesting you respond to an ho sat review immediately but not my complaint email. Also releasing personal DPA information on a public platform regarding my order specifics and when I contacted you. Someone please contact me immediately I would like to take this higher

Our company policy regarding refunds and any errors with the orders is that the customer contacts us within 7 working days off receiving the order and we will happily rectify the problem. Prior to making the purchase online all customers have to tick that they accept the terms and conditions on the website.
All orders are dispatched with an instruction leaflet in bold letter stating any damage/errors must be reported within 7 working days. Our records state the correct glazing was sent, however if this was not the case we could have sorted it straight away. This customer choose to wait 6 months before notifying us and therefore a charge would made to send new glazing and delivery costs. This is the same for all shops you cannot return a product to a high street shop 6 months later and demand a refund.
We take great care over our frames and get a lot of happy repeat customers, and unfortunalty on this occasion we have an unhappy customer but all could have been resolved if contacted us within the correct timescale
