Started using it right away, and honestly the grip is much steadier than my old drugstore clippers. The metal feels noticeably heavier and gives more control, so shaping nails was simpler than expected. Only thing is, I needed to wipe off a bit of machine oil before first use, but after that, it worked smoothly.
Currently floating in my fish pond, and I keep checking if the spray pattern changes with clouds—solar panel on it is actually bigger than my last one, so even cloudy mornings still get a light sprinkle. What’s most noticeable is how the edges have no rough seams, feels surprisingly solid when you pick it up wet.
Was curious how firm the spring feels and it's actually tight, nothing wobbles. My last one would snap back at random, so this is an improvement. Haven’t noticed any loose screws after several uses.
Honestly I only grabbed this to try something other than the old ones I had lying around—no contest, the spring has a way smoother rebound, no sticking. My last clipper felt really wobbly and jammed up at weird angles, this one actually snaps back right every time. Didn’t expect that weight in the hand either. It sits locked in my drawer now after each use, never flies open like the cheap ones.
