Horrible experience. This school has really gone downhill. I signed up for and paid for an in person property management course. Two days before the class was supposed to start, I received an email saying the first "few" classes would be online and the rest would be in person. This was not true, every class was virtual. The class was a joke. The teacher would literally get on the screen 2 hours late and just put notes in the chat. I contacted the academy about my refund since the online course is cheaper, and they said I would have my money in 15 business days. This has been going on for a month and a half and I still don't have my refund. I have sent numerous emails and called, and no one gets back to me. I definitely would not recommend this school to anyone.

I would not recommend this company at all. I paid for an in person class but just before the class was due to start I received a link for online. I made attempts to resolve and reschedule but the only option I was given was partial online and partial in person.

The customer service is terrible. When I asked for a refund with the idea of rescheduling in person at a later date, the company ghosted me.

Buyer beware!!

I would not recommend this school to anyone. The course material is relevant but there are typos and errors on every session. The online portal constanly has issues and receiving your certificate after completion is a fustrating process. They need to do better, especially when charging $300 - $600/course.

Having already been licensed in SC (& Fla), lapsed- taking it again, cant seem to pass this course hmmmm. Online video classes although instructors are very knowledgable, were soooo slooowww you want to choke yourself- boring, not allowed to fast fwd, should just send you a book. Material i sok but you are only allowed to look at a half page at at time, typos everywhere. Then the exam questions are asked in a confusing manner. Then locked out many times, they cant help you that night. They say exams will load- they dont or wrong ones loaded, if you scroll over to ask proctor a question on chat that equale 1 of 3 warnings and you will get booted off exam. Call many times and must either leave message or phone stops ringing. Now im ready to take exam and thought I could just take it- noooooo, gotta choose an appointment for a proctered exam- spread out over next 2 weeks wasting my 30 day extension. Pick another school like Chip Brown.

I had a fantastic experience with Fortune Academy Real Estate. The instructors—Lonnie Daniels, Sandy Childs, and Ray James—each brought unique strengths, making the content engaging and well-rounded. His support made a huge difference in my confidence and preparation for the PSI exam, which I passed on my first attempt!

This company is a disaster. I signed up for the online, self paced course.

1) Constant trouble accessing their videos. No guidance on how it works. Its all figure it out by yourself, a very frustrating method.

2) If you call they make you leave a message. Someone from India or wherever will call you back (not quickly) in half broken english and not give you any straight answers. They are generic call center personnel who clearly answer questions about all types of classes, not just real estate.

3) The book is such a waste of paper. Its two inches thick and incredibly difficult to manipulate. Studying takes three times as long as it should for cross referencing and reviewing.

4) They talk about 24/7 support. What that means is an answering machine. I talked once to an agent to explain the exam process. He said they have a 1500 practice question book, said I should have received it. I didnt. I asked to have it emailed to me. They tried but were having trouble emailing things. They started a trouble ticket and three days later, no returned call.

5) Their course review is required to finish BEFORE you receive your certificate. No one can give an honest review when they are held hostage to getting their certificate.

A true disaster.

One pro is the material is not bad. If you can access it that is. Terrible school. Dont waste your money

Sent one email with 5 links and zero directions of how to get the course completed. Locked out of account and when I called for support I was told, "we can't help you tonight". There are also typos on every single page.

Started a MLO course. Was logging in for about 6 days taking lessons. Could not login one day so I called tech support with the CE Shop. Found out that someone changed my login information and cancelled the course and received a refund to another card. I had to change login info and I got my classes back but I have to start over again. I contacted Fortune but could never get anyone over the phone. I waisted time in chat with someone who played dumb the whole time. Then I was informed to reach out via email. ALLLLL these schools they got all over SC and I could not get any help. SCAM

The class content was good but it took them too long to report completion of my courses. I went to the LLR site for South Carolina to renew, my credit card was charged so I thought everything was good. Then I got notification that I hadn't renewed! It was because of classes and been reported. Not sure what happens now but I will check with thr Board to see what to do.

Highly recommend Fortune Academy. Mrs. Sandy Childs was awesome!!

The option to study at your own pace is very helpful! I took the PM course and passed the state exam on the first try. The instructor is very knowledgeable and the customer service is also excellent. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with the team at Fortune. Exceptionally prompt customer service and the program was engaging and easy to follow!

Lonnie kept the class as fresh as possible for the zoom experience and was a blast to have as an instructor.
Funny stories and always had a way of reviewing material in a fresh way in review that never seemed rote or boring. A lot of material to cover which was done in a way that even during testing for license never felt out of depth as we had a basic understanding and review of material.
Take notes and take advantage of study time and all will be well.

My professor Lonnie D made the experience enjoyable. My worry was that being in a class that long I would be bored and might not retain information but he kept the class engaging. He made sure we understood and that we felt comfortable. He is an amazing person! I hope others get to experience him!
