Bought Formovie Theater. Actually a pretty good short range projector ... when it works! Customer Service is appaling! Robotic replies and blank out refusing to help out. Even I found a Swiss-based technician who opened the chasis and managed to dtect the issue. Still point blank refusal to help - despite we managed, though the electronics installation is all Chinese and not made for repairs.
We are back in operation but I am definitely not a repeat customer of any Formovie product.
I have never received the projector I purchased. No shipping updates either from seller or from the courier.
Their support was not helpful at all and just stopped replying to my emails.
I’m trying to get a refund from my bank now, but I’m not sure if it would be possible.
Avoid this company if you’re not willing to risk your money being completely wasted on a product that you never receive
Ich kann vor einem Kauf bei Formovie nur warnen. Nach meiner Erfahrung ist der Verkäufer sehr problematisch und der gesamte Ablauf äußerst frustrierend.
Ich habe ein Produkt ordnungsgemäß zurückgeschickt, aber bis heute keine Rückerstattung erhalten. Trotz mehrfacher Kontaktversuche zieht sich der Prozess unnötig in die Länge. Die Kommunikation ist sehr mühsam und man bekommt oft keine klaren oder hilfreichen Antworten.
Für Kunden ist das eine sehr unangenehme Situation, besonders wenn es um größere Geldbeträge geht. Man erwartet bei einer Retoure eine schnelle und transparente Abwicklung – leider war das hier überhaupt nicht der Fall.
Aus diesem Grund kann ich einen Kauf bei Formovie nicht empfehlen. Wer Probleme vermeiden möchte, sollte meiner Meinung nach lieber bei einem anderen, zuverlässigeren Händler kaufen.

Ik kocht de ultra short throw beamer via AliExpress en binnen 2 jaar had ik een dode pixel. De leverancier weigerde garantie te verlenen en zelfs de fabrikant wilde niks doen.
They are trying to make the refund process as difficult as possible. On top of that, they are attempting to bypass the 14-day withdrawal period mandated by German consumer law by repeatedly asking unnecessary questions via multiple emails—such as what the issue is, where the problem lies, and even requesting the serial number. All of this is clearly intended to delay and complicate the refund process.
I will report this matter to the German Consumer Protection Authority.
Mon expérience avec Formovie a été un véritable cauchemar, tant sur le plan produit que sur le plan du service client. Voici mon témoignage détaillé pour éviter que d’autres consommateurs ne subissent la même déception.
1. Un produit séduisant mais défaillant
J’ai acheté le projecteur Formovie Premium avec beaucoup d’enthousiasme, attiré par ses spécifications techniques. Cependant, dès les premières utilisations, j’ai rencontré des problèmes majeurs :
• Le projecteur s’éteint aléatoirement sans raison.
• La télécommande ne se synchronise pas correctement avec l’appareil.
Pour un produit de ce prix, on s’attend à une qualité et une fiabilité bien supérieures.
2. Un service client inexistant
Le véritable problème ne réside pas seulement dans les défauts du produit, mais dans l’incompétence et l’irrespect total du service client. Voici ce que j’ai vécu :
• Silence radio : J’ai envoyé de nombreux emails (plus de 10 !) pour demander un retour et une prise en charge. Résultat : des réponses tardives, génériques ou inexistantes.
• Manque de clarté et d’efficacité : Formovie a demandé des vidéos et photos pour prouver les défauts, ce que j’ai envoyé immédiatement. Mais même après cela, aucune solution concrète n’a été proposée.
• Refus de respecter les obligations légales : J’ai demandé un retour dans le cadre du droit de rétractation (14 jours), mais Formovie n’a pas fourni d’étiquette de retour ni organisé le retrait du produit, comme la loi l’exige.
3. Une gestion des retours illégale et inadmissible
Malgré mes relances, Formovie semble chercher à gagner du temps en posant des questions redondantes ou en ne répondant pas du tout. Ce comportement est non seulement frustrant, mais également illégal. Ils se moquent ouvertement de leurs obligations envers leurs clients.
4. Conséquences et prochaines étapes
Face à cette situation, j’ai été contraint de préparer un recours juridique et de signaler leur comportement aux autorités compétentes (DGCCRF et Centre Européen des Consommateurs). De plus, je partagerai mon expérience sur toutes les plateformes disponibles pour alerter les autres consommateurs.
Conclusion
Formovie a démontré une absence totale de professionnalisme et un mépris flagrant des droits des consommateurs. Je déconseille fortement cette marque à quiconque souhaite acheter un projecteur ou tout autre produit. Si vous tenez à votre argent, votre temps et votre tranquillité d’esprit, passez votre chemin.
MAJ : je viens juste être rembourser suite au retour, conclusion ne vous attendez pas à un service réactif.

Most of the system in Chinese. Need to buy a Firestick to stream anything g in English so add $80-120 to price.
Small grid pattern constant on screen. Formovie told me that's normal but it isn't. Really annoying especially on lighter colours.

Is OK if you don't expect too much but I've had $200 projectors that were almost as good so price hike not worth it for the news.
Do not buy a Formovie S5 projector.
Many of them develop a fault with a haze around white text / objects against dark backgrounds.
Formovie advise that this should disappear with time but it is now worse and missed the 90 day free return window.
I have to return this at my own cost and also they won't guarantee no import duty / tax / handling which was £130.
Not acceptable... Avoid this company.
I purchased the Episode One and great experience for the price with Google Tv and Netflix. I didn't have issues yet but the shipping was fast.

You have had the unit for a very long time.
There has been no updates on the progress of the repair.
I was not told that it was due to be returned.
I am out of the country, dealing with my mother’s stroke.
I have been trying to arrange for someone to pick up the projector when it arrives.
I was not warned that additional tax would be due.
I have now received a message asking for £424.63 tax fees!
This is ridiculous!
I’ve already paid for the projector and do not wish to pay any more money.
Please suggest a solution as soon as possible, as I do not intend on paying the tax charge that I was not warned about for a repair on a faulty unit!
Edit Oct 2024 : For Movie finally agrees to send a new projector. So I am raising a bit the score. If Formovie wants to developp their business, they need to have offices in Europe/USA.
Avoid this company, they do not have a proper support in EU or USA. Your projector will be sent back to China and you will wait for months. They do not respect local laws on customer's protection.
Awful company with non existing customer service that want to take your money and don't care about you.
I live in Sweden bought a Formovie Theater from a store in Holland.
It was shipped the 17:th of Mars this year (2023) delivered and setup just fine.
The Formovie Theater itself is actually very good. That is not the problem.
I was experiencing a louder fan noice than acceptable making watching at low volumes annoying.
First i contacted the Formovie global tech support that made me send clip where the projector was running and they actually confirmed the (to loud) noice but redirected me to the seller.
I contacted the seller who redirected me at the Formovie EU after sales (never heard of them prior).
Been contacting them via mail, the home page and more and never got anything but automated responses or a Facebook comment of "we will contact you", which never happened ofcourse.
I did talk to another Swedish guy who had similar issues. He actually at least got into contact with after sales that held his machine several months without responding. When finally responding they said they had to send his machine to China to repair it. It has been 4 months and he still have not even heard from them.
I have no idea why you put that much work into building a really good machine and then absolutely scr*w over your costumers.
I will never buy from Formovie again.
