So disappointing!
I don't want to give this any more time than I have to so I'll be brief.
Opened the box and one of the packets had a slit in it and had leaked curry over everything. Of course we didn't eat the open one so paid for a meal I didn't get to eat. We tried the 2 meals one was a gnocchi and a veggie mash thing. Except the mash seemed to disintegrate or evaporate once heated and we were left with what resembled airplane food. The gnocchi was ok.
The burrito bowl and jollof rice was also ok but nothing special. With the slit bag, non existent mash and overall underwhelming experience, I wouldn't recommend them.
Maybe if you just want a lunch and need the bag for convenience but most of them are meant to go with rice you make yourself so probably only works for lunch if you get the pots like the gnocchi. But I wouldn't have it again.

Underwhelming and overpriced! I'm not sure whether Foodhak is trying to compete with companies like Hello Fresh or with take away food but if falls short on both. Food is ok, but with a Katsu for example you lose the convenience of heating in microwave for 3 minutes as it doesn't come with any rice so you need to cook this separately. Packaging as many have mentioned is pretty dreadful and does not make you want to eat the food. Dishes at full price are around £10 each, way way too expensive. Also found the website and ordering process, clunky and difficult to navigate

The food was taste but the texure was bad rice was mushy why because it was packed in a plastic doggy bag the only thing that was packed well was the masala cottage pie... sigh waste of my money

I have tried a bunch of different food/meal delivery services and this one is probably my favourite. I used for 3 months! I love the availability of ayurvedic/anti-inflammatory foods, low calorie meals, everything tastes fresh and is super easy to prepare (just needs heating).

The only downside for me was their pricing structure and the way they set up their plans. You can't swap meals out of the plans, so if there are meals there you don't like then the plans just don't work. The 'build your own' comes with some sticker shock, as things like soups and kitchari are almost £10 a pop. There are discounts that get applied as you add more and then a further 20% discount at checkout if you subscribe monthly.. but you might not get to that point after seeing the initial pricing. It's a very unpleasant/negative way to construct the sales user journey and honestly I would flip it on its head, e.g. "Build your own - £X for 12 meals a week with monthly subscription" and put that lowest price up front, let the user select that option.. then allow meal selection after. Nobody wants to see £10 for a soup and the discounts do not feel like you are getting good value after that. Hopefully they are tracking metrics so they can see where users are bouncing!

They also keep sending me emails for discounts that are only for new customers. You know I'm not a new customer, so it seems disingenuous to send me discount offers I can't use!

TLDR: Food amazing, UX & pricing weird.

The Jollof Rice was really good, as was the tumeric soup with tamarind.

Good storage with ice packs and thermal blankets. Chicken jollof rice was my fav. The truffle mushroom gnocchi didn’t quite match the rest of the flavours by Foodhak :( but overall, well pleased - would recommend for good cooks when they’re feeling lazy. (Fouad you were a great salesman!)

Absolutely love this company and everything about them. Its a great idea to make fresh food to deal with particular issues in the body. So easy to use and very tasty.
I'm currently studying to be a naturopathic nutritionist and I recommend this company all the time if friends are short of time and need something healthy to eat.

The food is tasty, but the way they pack the meals (plastic pouches) affects the presentation. Additionally, the sealing on the meal trays needs improvement—I packed a meal in my backpack for work, and it spilled.

Food was terrible , feeling so bad I spend my money in that food .
I put in bin .
Please stop lying to people and make them spend money in rubbish food.

The journey started with an amazing lady outside my local marks and Spencer’s. She sold me into the concept of Fordhak and I wanted to trail it for my eldest daughter so she has bespoke meals for university as she has an auto immune condition. The communication has been on point and the meals are delicious but most importantly healthy. My only critique is that we would want to order them occasionally not every week. It’s great to have them in the freezer for her as a healthy dinner option.

I have a brilliant experience with FoodHak and have been very impressed by the food quality, i highly recommend the Jollof Rice!

I think it is great that Foodhak offers a good range of options and cuisines to suit different tastes and backgrounds - however, in spite of trying quite a lot of the range we have to stick to a few firm favourites as the others just do not make the same cut. I concur with some of the other reviews that report certain dishes have been watery, bland but am happy to continue as the few that we do like have been prettyconsistent.

I would really love to see a bigger endeavour from their technical/development team to avoid some of the additives and emulsifiers. Emuslifiers are just not good - even if they might be approved by a regulatory body. There is a minority of brands now refraining from using emulsifiers so hope you eventually find a way.

I have experienced the delivery issues like other reviewers (not arriving on the day booked, items missing, leaked/messy food packages) but understand that this is out of their control and usually to do with DPD. I do have to say that their customer service has been very helpful whenever these issues have arisen, esp Mariah stands out and has helped rectify issues swiftly and efficiently. This has helped me not be put off by the whole inconvenience from time to time when it does occur.

As an up and coming healthy ready made food delivery service, they are better compared to what is out there and seem to have got a lot of things going right: good customer service, wide range and regular new dishes on offer, healthy snacks and desserts, recyclable pouches, but I do think there is still some room for improvement on the actual food products as not all seem to be of the same standard.

P.S - please bring back the Mung dal bolognese!

I tried Foodhak Ayurvedic Detox Regime a few months ago out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. I now order the same most weeks. There has been some variation but I haven't gotten bored of the meals.
The one meal I didn't like as much was the Miso broth (not a huge fan of miso) but I think they've tweaked the recipe since and now I enjoy that too.
I live on my own and have quite busy evenings so the convenience is what keeps me ordering. It's great for weekdays when I'm time pressed but want something healthy. I'm not trying to lose weight so I typically double up on the portions that say 'serves 2' and bulk up the other meals with rice etc.
Some of the meals (not all) do lack protein if you're looking for a nutritionally balanced vegetarian meal.
You do need to be aware of the use-by dates as there can be quite a range with some meals needing to be eaten within a few days. I just order them in my fridge with shortest shelf-life ones at the front.

Saw the founders outside M&S Holborn and placed an order which including delivery was about £28.

Came promptly at 8am two days later. My meals were the jollof dish, Red Thai fish curry, biriani, laksa and katsu.

The first annoyance was that three of the meals had a best before of two days after arrival, effectively forcing me to add them to my meal cycle with immediate effect.

The jollof was a no for me. Flavours were not hitting and so should be renamed to seasonal rice. Was edible though.

The katsu lacked body - again edible but was left feeling a litttle short changed.

The laksa had a moorish heat to it which got better with time.

The two star dishes imo were the biryani and the fish curry. Quite simple they both banged and had me smiling throughout. If you are a foodie go for these.

If I was to re-order I’d do 3 fish curries and 2 biryani and add some snacks too. They are a young black owned startup business from North West London so was happy to support their economy and would encourage you to do the same.

Food is lush and my body feels better - first one of these meal delivery places I can see myself sticking with for a long time. Was a bit confused when the items didn't match up perfectly with the programme but soon got over it and adjusted/ figured out what to have when.

The food is good, vareid and easy to cook. I usually add additional vegetables. If also freezes well. My only problem is with the delivery which is not always as if should be.
