I've been using Font Awesome for years and had the Pro subscription for 99 dollars for a few years!
However, I only need a few specific Pro icons and want to host them myself.
Today I see that the price has gone from 99 to 120 dollars. We're talking about icons. A few painted icons. That's crazy. Pure greed. You can't support that.
I'll just draw the icons myself again, like I used to. Oh dear.

Trusting Font Awesome resulted in us having our entire website design impacted for a week (so far) where they never gave access to the product after we resubscribed to another year. They have since increased their price, but already took payment at the old price and yet the product still doesn't work.

To make matters worse, their support isn't responding and they are nearly impossible to get a hold of.

No one can restore my Pro licence and no one can tell me the difference between a Pro subscription and a lifetime Pro licence.

The charges stated lifetime perpetual Pro licence and then your support tries every time to sell me a Pro subscription as well.

Buy pro icons and buy more pro subscription, great idea you guys. You guys are really awesome.

I was an original backer for FA. I have used them since the start. Having seen the other reviews, I'm not sure I agree, and a lot of these issues don't really align with my own experience. I use FA on most of the sites I work on and in total I've got millions of users seeing my FA packs on a monthly basis. The icons are well-thought out and nicely designed. I look forward to trying out Web Awesome too.

I do think there's room for improvement and more icons for specifc uses but overall I have zero complaints (and I usually complain about everything). I have only ever had a postitive experience with FontAwesome and it's one of the very few service providers I can say that about. As an original backer I have always been treated respectfully and the support team have always been nice to me.

I hope this company sees more positive reviewers in due course, as the bad ratings really don't seem to align with what this company is or does.

font awsome isnt so awsome anymore, their free stuff dont work for free anymore, they are making you pay now.

Never trust a company that makes it so hard to unsubscribe. Support never answers.

Personal response to a difficulty was, yes, awesome.

Their service wasn't working correctly and registering page views against my quota on a site that wasn't using fontawesome. When I asked for support, they weren't helpful, then stopped responding, communicated like children, then deleted my entire account causing me hours of update time for several client sites. I will NEVER use again.

DOCUMENTATION IS NOT CLEAR.
NOTHING WORKS.
NPM IS NOT WORKING.
IN LINE SCRIPT IS NOT WORKING.

FIX IT!!!

This is a ridiculous site, they have this weird 2GB bandwidth for $99 for a simple npm usage. I am already paying you handsomely and now you are charging me to push my projects. And then forces me to upgrade for $499. What a joke. Not to mention the ginormous lib download for 57MB on the build process. No wonder we are hitting the limit. It's absolute garbage, that you do this for a font service. And they offer no refund!!!

useless and way over priced. easy to replace these in casual use. in short, they suck.

I feel like they have a bunch useless icons that no one really needs. And some important icons just completely aren't there. For instance, I was searching for a icon for a robot arm and they only had literal robots. There were lots of other exmaples...

Really good design, I love the icons, though paid plans are just joke. Personally I don't need 8 quintillion icons nor 5 seats or ton of other features that bump up price. Paying 99$/year for a stuff that you won't use is just waste of money. If there was some kind of cheaper plan to just use some icons. Not everyone needs 19 thousand icons.

well it turned out to be a cash grab by the devs. after backing font awesome 5, they just released version 6 a few years later and dropped support for version 5. there wasnt a necessity to make this step. its only to sell a new version. no more font awesome for me.

At first, I was excited at the prospect of gaining to a whole swathe of icons, which I could drop in with little issue. Upon further review, leveraging fonts to create icons is a... horrible design decision. Just using SVG images instead removes the unneeded complexity of bootstrapping fonts, and plays nicer with CSS. SVG was designed to do exactly what FontAwesome does... but simpler and better.

I am a premium user but the assistance is completely useless and vague, I have been trying to solve the problem for days but now they no longer respond to my requests.

I'm already planning on not using awesome fonts anymore.

I've paid for premium icons (version 5), lifetime licence. Now, they have pushed version 6 (which, in my opinion, do not offer many advantages).
First time on their new website, I got some difficulties to find my previous v5 icons.
The website ask me to pay again (for v6 icons) and also, to change many source code in my websites (?)

Why to "drop" (in legacy) a product after few years only? Some company sell and maintain lifetime licence of a single product for long time and makes profits anyway.

Should I wait for v7 of Font Awesome?

I purchased FontAwesome Pro so I could get some extra icons. I then integrated it into my project and discovered FontAwesome has icons for a million different genders which is sickening and against my religion. There is only 2 genders and I can not financially support people who believe otherwise. I nicely contacted their support and told them this is forbidden in my religion and asked for a refund. They denied my refund. Evil company ran by people with a woke agenda.

I upgraded to Pro because I thought their SVG kit was going to speed up might site. Instead my site load time went from 8 seconds to 20 seconds!

Their documentation is terrible. Very vague and not intuitive and I know HTML and CSS well. I can figure out anything but I have spent 2 months on Font Awesome trying to get it to work.

Their customer support is equally as bad. They just give one sentence answers that really don't answer the question.
