Before I owned this folding kayak, I had no real access to kayaking short of renting one. Now, I can fold her up, put her in the back seat of my car, drive to the nearest river or other body of water and get paddling! Tucktec is excellent with customer service. They aim to please, and if there is ever an issue, they strive to resolve it fast as lightning. I love the independence and freedom I now have to get exercise, peace and soak in the beauty of nature from the water!

1st off customer service is very responsive, the 1st time I contacted them about shipping questions they got back right away, the 2nd time I contacted them about a part I had questions on they sent out a new part within about 2 hours, no questions, and then they sent a follow-up email. I took my Tucktec out on clam bayou it was excellent. The only thing that was confusing for me was the seat installation, in the 10 foot 2023 video you can't see it well so watch the 8foot video, it shows it a little better, the installation was quick and easy, the instructional videos are "Barney style" as they say in the Navy. This is perfect for a spontaneous kayaking trip after finding some hidden gem hiking, I'm a small person, I'm 5'3", I got the 10foot pro but honestly considering getting a regular 8 foot to ruck with so I can ruck and kayak. FYI the canvas bag fits the base stuff kayak & paddle but if you get the stabilizers, and life vest pack you will need to either tie it to the outside or us a separate bag, I use my old seabag from the Navy for the accessories. Overall performs fantastically, easy to set up, strongly considering getting another to kayak with my kid, I am disappointed the purple was discontinued 😞.

Best purchase ever! Easy to transport. The team are very responsive! I purchased back on July, after my third launch I lost one of the stabilizer end caps and they send me a replacement right away! I am in love with my tucktec!

Recently purchased my Tucktec.

Made in USA, very durable especially considering the weight.

Packs down pretty small, makes for easy storage. Light enough I was able to pack it in a few miles to paddle a remote lake.

Considering the price, this is a no Brainerd if you want a folding kayak!

Like most, I was skeptical about a foldable kayak. Finally decided to give it a try, mostly because there are great return policies. After my first time on water, I decided I would keep the kayak. In my second trip, I really bonded with my kayak and named her “Ruby” (she is red) on my third trip, I decided this kayak gives me the ultimate freedom to get on the water whenever I want, with or without others. Ruby is now a permanent member of my family. I have figured out all the little tricks to make assembly and folding easy. And now matter what, it is much easier than transporting a hard side kayak. Ruby is fabulous on the water. Floats well, tracks well, has plenty of space, and makes me happy! I am thinking of getting another one so I can take friends and let them try out their own Tucktec. #Tucktec

I was looking for a way to be able to get out on the lakes without needing help to load and unload. Tucktec for the bill perfectly! At only 28lbs I(65f) can easily lift it myself and it folds up and lays in my back seat!
To be honest, I did have a couple of problems. But their Customer Service department is great; quick to respond and solve any problems.
I love how sturdy and stable my Tucktec folding kayak is. Now, I'm no daredevil. This is not a kayak you'd take out on whitewater. But, it's exactly what I was searching for! And it only costs about half as much as the other folding kayak brand.#TUCKTEC

My husband and I got tucktecs for each other for Christmas and it was the best gift we've ever gotten. Being on the water is like a little vacstion, the boat is stable, spacious, light and easy to store. After the first two assemblies, it took us minutes to put together. We get to take our kayaks everywhere in our Mazda 3 without a rack!

When I was deciding on which foldable kayak to buy, I called Tucktec with a bunch of questions and they were so patient and helpful. I decided to go with a 10-ft pro Tucktec, and love it so far. Their customer service is excellent, and they also are very active in their Facebook customer service account, lending helpful hints and answering questions.

I am a senior woman, and can now fold the Tucktec in just 3-4 minutes. I am so happy to have a kayak that I can fold up and fit in my small compact car.

For about 2 years we have Inflatable kayaks, but they always felt more like a beach toy than anything else. (Not that there's anything wrong with a beach toy)

A couple of weeks ago, we recieved our 10' TuckTecs and wow, do we ever love them. Stable, sturdy, fun, yet easily set up and broken down so they fit nicely into our Kia Soul.

They are also really eye catching and all kinds of folks have come up to us to express interest in them.

10/10 would buy again!

I took my 2023 10 footer out and the sides collapsed, twice, with the factory seat. The return policy seemed really reasonable and I wasn't going to spend time fooling around with it seeing how many others were having issues. I didn't take photos of myself actively drowning so I guess that part's on me.

I contacted customer service, returned it, tracking shows it was delivered 8/21. I checked on the 12th and they said they were running behind but should have it processed in a couple of days. Now we're going into October. Kayak season is done out here. It cost a lot to ship it back. I just want my money back to move on with my life.

I keep hearing about the amazing customer service from this company, but l'm just not seeing it.

When I tried to ask for help initially on their own (heavily moderated) forum I was accused of making it up by some members despite many others having similar problems, then was encouraged to modify the kayak to make it usable, which is not something I was interested in doing. Then when I tried posting this review in that forum after Tucktec dragging their feet to issue a refund, it was denied and redirected to a “customer service” group that Tucktec is using to astroturf their main forum.

I just wanted a kayak to get outdoors and have some fun, not be gaslit by a company and their fans over whether I had the experience that I did or not.

Jonathan from Tucktec was quick to respond solving my problems even on a weekend. The Tucktec boat is easy to set up, lightweight to carry, and tracks well in the water. This a great boat for people with limited storage space. I prefer this kayak over my inflatable. I would recommend this boat and company.

had to write : ok, please press the freaking refund button already to get the to do something.

I cannot imagine if I had kept the order going what that would have ended up like. Very glad to be done, and I won't buy one, probably ever.

Complete trash. My Tucktec broke on only the 3rd time using. Entire seam cracked and split like tissue paper. All I want is my money back and they want to send me another terrible kayak. Stay away from this company and their kayaks.

Bought my tucktec in February. Didn't get it into the water till May. But now the end of August it's been crazy I've been in the100s of times.and have sold at least 5on the spot love this product

My sister and I kayak on rivers, creeks and lakes in Minnesota and Florida. We love our kayaks and want to buy more for family to come with. Easy to transport, assemble and carry. This is our second year of owning tucktec kayaks.

I am an outdoor person and love paddling "in the wild". Not always is a car-accessible launchspot close, and I also want to be ready whenever I like to, having great opportunities close to work. So I was looking for a portable solution that fits into the trunk and can stay there, to be ready when needed, and can be easily carried a mile or so if needed. I excluded inflatables, as they are slow and moreover get poked easily in swamps, mangroves and areas with a lot of branches, debris etc, and you don't wanna capsize in the Everglades. Basically, I wanted the performance of a hard-shell that doesn't easily crack and great portability. I bumped into tucktec in 2021 and since then am the proud owner of 4 tuckyaks, three different generations. All yaks are fantastic and do exactly what they promise, and the company continuously improves, so the newer ones are even better. Even now after hundreds of usages (and folds), all year round (living in South Florida) all four yaks are still in great shape, never had an issue and never needed repair! To go for tuckyaks was one of the best buying decisions I ever made, a truly great product. The company is very transparent, cares about customer relations and enjoys getting feedback from customers. If you ever have a question, they get back to you in no time. The yak itself is very stable, probably the most stable kayak I ever used, as it is very wide, so carrying gear, turning around or even standing up is easily doable. It is still a recreational yak, and as such of course not that fast like ocean kayaks or other performance trimmed yaks, but with its 10 feet length it is optimal for mangrove tunnels and narrow passages, as it is super flexible and easy to maneuver around. Also it handles wakes from boats passing by without any problems and keeps you confident even in rough waters. A truly great product for calm and semi-calm waters (as it is an wide open yak with no sprayskirt), rivers, lakes, swamps or intracoastal waters that I can highly recommend!

Seriously, these kayaks are easy to assemble, lightweight, easy to transport, sturdy, durable... and not to mention affordable! The tucktec team is fantastic and has unmatched customer service- I've never seen anything like it! We are super grateful that this company has made kayaking accessible to us.
