Over the past few months, Cosmo Dots have become an essential part of our Learning Disability Tree Tops Hub for young adults with PMLD. From sensory stories and music-making to cause-and-effect activities, the possibilities are endless—and we’re still discovering more!
During Learning Disability Week, our young people used Cosmo to take part in the powerful “Can You See Me?” poem, helping them express themselves and have their voices heard.
What makes Cosmo so special is the predictability it creates—seeing the coloured dots helps our young people know something exciting is about to happen, when it’s their turn, and that they are important and included. Hearing their name and taking part brings so much joy!
Every individual has had a positive experience, and we can see confidence and curiosity growing every single day.

I have had a Cosmo switch for the past 2 years. I have found it very helpful and useful for my students. I recently had issues with it working with my iPad. They were fast at responding to my email and scheduled a troubleshooting call quickly. We troubleshooted and got it to work again. Great company!

The company is responsive and helpful with trouble shooting. They make it clear who to contact as well! The students I have love the Cosmo switch and as an occupational therapist, it is helpful to be able to grade the amount of force used to activate the switch, change the way in which it is activated, and have visual/audio feedback that the switch has been activated. This has been so helpful for my students who have limited upper extremity movement and limited vision.

Cosmo switches are such an amazing resource for our children's hospice- they allow our children and young people to play energetic, engaging, fun and inclusive games with their peers and family members. They are a brilliant resource for anyone with limited mobility and the scope of how you can use them is incredible. They make gaming accessible for all and I would recommend them to all settings!

The Cosmo switches are some of the best switches I have used in my career. The ease of use, the adaptability and range of use are such a delight to use. The app offers a range of different activities that can be linked with a child/young persons personal targets. The ability to change the pressure on the switches is such a great asset to development hand strength and also can encourage bilateral integration. The staff at the company are also very kind and helpful with supporting to use the product.

The Cosmos provide my Students with a variety of programs and activities that meet their needs. The adjustable sensitivity to touch has been especially helpful for some of my students with limited mobility. The light up feature of the switches attract students attentions that wouldn’t normally gravitate towards switches. The company itself provides excellent customer service and troubleshooting.

Really effective for music-making in special education settings. Supports both musical and non-musical development, and can be used in the context of Engagement Model and Sounds of Intent assessment frameworks. The visual aspects are really compelling and very easy to set up.

I have purchased the Cosmo Explore Kit for my OT company to use with the children and families I work with, as assessment and therapy. AAC is such an important aspect of a child's life and require the most efficient setup and practice:)- The Cosmo has not disappointed! I really like the responsiveness which is essential for so many children with motor and movement difficulties. The colours are bright and facilitate visual attention and even used it for visual focus and tracking.

The training app games are fun and so easy to use and help goal progression with all the information that is provided on the app.

The Cosmo is so versatile that I also use with for children with coordination difficulties or just as warm-up fun games!

I have been an occupational therapist for 37 years, and Cosmo switches are the best assistive technology device I’ve come across in years. There used to be a company called Intellitools and they had products that allowed individuals with severe disabilities access computers with minimal input. A Cosmo switch allows individuals with physical, cognitive, and sensory impairments to activate highly motivating multimedia products with simple access methods.

I'm having staff use these for wireless switches during group activity times. So far, they are great. I did have some difficulty getting the settings how I wanted them but the customer service was fantastic and I was able to do a zoom with them to help me get it figured out! Greatly appreciated!!

I am a parent to a young man with severe learning and physical disabilities. We were generously donated a Cosmo Explore set through the Strongbones charity.
After an initial glitch with the app the customer service team were very keen to help. It sorted itself out but I was very impressed and will not hesitate to contact them if we have any more issues.
The device and the app are incredible and we can't wait to really get stuck into it.

I work as an Occupational Therapist in a pediatric rehabilitation hospital. We all love the Cosmo product- it is easy to use, is motivating for the kids we work with, and there are so many ways to integrate it into our sessions. Recently I needed to update the cosmoids and had trouble. I reached out to the company through their website. They were so helpful and even had a zoom meeting to help me figure out the problem. An all around great product!

I work at a school for students with complex needs. We have 3 sets of Cosmos and we love them! Our teachers use them for partner games and our therapists use them to motivate movement. The ability to adjust the brightness of the light is also perfect for our students with CVI. As a company, Filisia has been great in adding new activities and extremely responsive to our requests. Great product, great company!
