It seems it makes a huge difference with whom you are dealing at the final end of a transaction.
Sam contacted me after this below review and managed some 'good-will-arrangement'. I made one more transaction, much smaller amount .... and Sam was there for me from the beginning until the end .... and big surprise: everything turned out as I have expected it in the first instance - exchange rate was now excellent! I am now confident enough to do more business in the future, as long as Sam Edmanson - Senior FX Broker, is my man for the deal.

I needed to transfer a high AUS Dollar amount into Euro.
All the registration procedure was easy and without any problems done in due time by Sam Edmanson - Senior FX Broker.

He provided a very professional and personal experience up to the moment when the exchange rate needed to be confirmed and another person took over the handling (not what was advertised, handling from beginning to end by just ONE person).

Just a few days before the actually transfer Sam advised by email of an estimated higher amount that would be received into my German Bank account, although the mid-day market rate on this day was lower than on the day of action.

Nevertheless, on the day when the money needed to be transferred I was advised by phone that they couldn't achieve a higher rate although the market rate was higher than advised days before – in fact it was much less.

This gives a very bad taste and looks like ......you know what I mean!!!!!
I assume that I did something good for the profit they achieved for themselves.
Just be aware of this unpleasant 'last-moment' experience!!!!

Having never transferred money abroad before I was very worried that the whole process would be very confusing and stressful. However from the moment I signed up with FC Exchange I was given lots of advice and support and was guided through the process with professionalism and ease. The level of customer service I received was excellent, and I really felt as though each person I spoke to tried to make everything as easy and stress-free as possible for me.

Was a little apprehensive about using a currency firm to transfer money overseas this way ,but now have done it will only go this way.
I saved money and was well looked after with personal phone calls to Australia during the progress of the transaction by Peter Lilly who was with me all the way through.
What impressed me was the speed of getting all the documentation through after sending it in.

This was the first time I have needed to transfer money abroad and found FC Exhange through the Martin Lewis website. The sum I needed to transfer was substantial and Lauren took the time to explain the process and safeguards as we as the minimal risks, without applying any pressure. I was still nervous as I filled in the transaction from and submitted it - what if I put the wrong bank details? A few hours later I received a call from the payments team who checked the details again. Very reassuring. I would definitely recommend this company. The service and communication feels personal and professional without being pushy snd the rates are good. What more could you need?

I will not be using the high street banks again.

Used this service twice so far , in both cases secured a good exchange rate , it was prompt and simple process , expected a few days for funds to arrive in my designated account but pleased to say in both cases the money was cleared the same day as the transaction was confirmed ...
As for my account manager , he is helpful and takes time to ensure that he can offer the best rate in the time frame. All good

First time use of the new combined company. A bit of a hickup/delay in transferring my account details from Global Reach but once that was resolved it worked well.

The firm was recommended by one of the International Movers we contacted. The initial call was very helpful and constructive.
Later that day my 'personal agent' contacted me and we set up my account. A test of a transfer of funds was made that afternoon and the funds appeared promptly in my US account.
There were no hidden fees or unexpected charges.
